“Will & Grace” broke new ground on television for its depiction of LGBTQ+ characters, and involved the exploits of a group of four friends: Eric McCormack’s Will, Debra Messing’s Grace, Sean Hayes’ Jack and Megan Mullally’s Karen.
However, fans of the show might be surprised to learn that when the pilot was shot, there was a fifth pal thrown in the mix.
McCormack made that revelation during the inaugural episode of “Just Jack & Will”, the new podcast he co-hosts with Hayes (as reported by Deadline).

That character, McCormack recalled, was played by actor Cress Williams, who would later go on to star in The CW’s superhero series “Black Lightning”.

New year, new Netflix! January 2023’s slate can keep viewers entertained amidst all the gray skies and rainstorms, with new original films like “Dog Gone” starring Rob Lowe to classics like “Forrest Gump” starring Tom Hanks. Those who can’t get enough of the adrenaline of “Top Gun: Maverick” can stream the original film on Netflix now, too.
Other genres well-represented in the batch of new titles on Netflix in January include the whodunnit and rom-com, with several options like “The Pale Blue Eye” and “You People” landing as Netflix originals. For those in a more serious mood, “Brokeback Mountain” is now available. “Minions: The Rise of Gru” promises fun for the whole family with Illumination animation, child-favorite characters and a throwback to songs of the seventies for parents.

HBO Max’s Doom Patrol will return for season four on Thursday, December 8, 2022 with the release of the first episodes. So, what’s in store? HBO Max’s official synopsis for the upcoming season revealed the team will be “unexpectedly” traveling to the future where they’ll be met by an unwelcome surprise.
What else can fans of the comic book-inspired series expect? Series stars Brendan Fraser (“Robotman”), April Bowlby (“Elasti-Woman”), Joivan Wade (“Cyborg”), and Michelle Gomez (“Madame Rouge”) participated in a panel during the 2022 New York Comic Con to briefly discuss what we can expect from season four.
April Bowlby on Rita as a leader:
“I’m really proud of Rita for taking the leadership role. She’s always looking for something that she belongs to, something to define herself with. It was acting…that didn’t go so well. She tried to be the Beekeeper…that didn’t go so well.

HBO Max has pulled six original films from its library amid the ongoing Warner Bros. Discovery merger, and more cuts are on the horizon. Among the casualties of these cuts are the original films Moonshot starring Cole Sprouse and Lana Condor, Superintelligence featuring Melissa McCarthy, 2020’s The Witches with Anne Hathaway and Octavia Spencer, American Pickle starring Seth Rogen, Locked Down with Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Charm City Kings. Moonshot (Credit: Bob Mahoney /© HBO Max /Courtesy Everett Collection) Along with those released titles, LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s House Party reboot has also been shelved after missing its slated July 28 premiere. According to IndieWire, these pulls from the platform are part of a long list of films and shows that will be removed from HBO Max and Discovery+ as Warner Bros. Discovery executives get ready to turn two streaming services into one. Content being targeted for removal are titles that...

A tense and exciting film, the movie tells the story of Lila (Academy Award Nominee Viola Davis), a grief-stricken mother who in the aftermath of her son’s murder in a drive-by shooting attends a support group where she meets Eve (Jennifer Lopez), who has lost her daughter.
When Lila hits numerous roadblocks from the police in bringing justice for her son’s slaying, Eve urges Lila to take matters into her own hands to track down her son’s killers.

Resurrection Review
ABC has been trying to hit on a lot of fronts lately, but nothing has been a more clear shot at fans of Lost than the upcoming Resurrection. The trailers don’t exactly give you that impression (see sizzle reel below), but they hint that it might be there, as does the general premise.
We watch as Jacob awakes in a rice field in China, clearly in unfamiliar territory. The case soon falls to Immigration agent J. Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps), who only knows that Jacob has made his way back to the United States, but hasn’t spoken a word since he was found. Though Martin is supposed to just drop Jacob off with Child Protective Services, he seems to be getting some information out of Jacob, and when Jacob confirms that he can find his way home, in Arcadia, Missouri, Martin takes him there.

No, I don’t know, but everyone from Mystic Falls looks a bit more distressed than they did in the Vampire Diaries season 4 premiere, called “Growing” Pains”, image gallery we shared with you last week. hell, even Nina Dobrev isn’t looking exquisite and something has the attention of both of the Salvatore siblings, as Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley look a bit surprised. This batch of promo images we have from The CW is from “Memorial” (4.02), the second episode of Tvd’s fourth season, coming at you on October 11th.
Do you have a someone you must want to see dead? Do you want some closure to the Tyler/Klaus situation? What’s happening to get everyone (top image of Dobrev, Wesley, and Zach) all startled and daring to scare Nina?

Back in August we got a ones-hot look at what looked to be a special moment between Kat Graham and Steven R. McQueen’ Bonnie and Jeremy from the upcoming The Vampire Diaries season 4 premiere, and now not only have more glimpses into that scene, but a whole episode gallery from the CW for the episode, “Growing Pains”, a term that can be applied to several of the Mystic Falls crew, perhaps most notably for Nina Dobrev’s Elena Gilbert, who, of course, shows up a lot in these pics.
Yesterday’s Tvd gallery gave us general key art, portrait of the cast. This batch hits on a lot of the relationships and teases us all around, rounding it out with a little Tyler/Klaus and Candica Accola.

We are just two episodes away from “The Murder of One” episode on the CW’s hit paranormal series, the Vampire Diaries. It seems like plenty is in store for fans come March 29th, when it airs. Need proof? Well, check out this fine line up of pics from the set. We have baddies, blood, weapons in Elena’s hands, and more!
Damon is in chains at the hands of Claire Holt’s character, Rebekah. She is drawing blood from Ian Somerhalder’s much adored bad boy. It looks like her chance for revenge has finally come.
Cassidy Freeman as Sage seems to be in tears in one film still. Meanwhile, Paul Wesley’s Stefan and Nina Dobrev’s Elena appear to be arming themselves for a fight. Nice crossbow! They don’t look very confident, either. On the other hand, you’ll see a calm and collected Candice Accola...

Vampire Diaries badboy Ian Somerhalder revists a fresh old face in former vamp buddy Sage, who in January we told you would be brought to life (or undead) by Cassidy Freeman. We got a first look of her in the Vampire Diaries past earlier this month which is now among many in this full gallery of episode images from “1912″, which the CW was kind enough to send out to us. ”1912″ is set to air on March 15th. By the look of it, Sage takes great amusement in beating people down, not even ruffling her hair or makeup in the process. My kind of girl.

The Return of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in Vampire Diaries
This week is a big week for television, as a good chunk of everyone’s favorite series are returning from their holiday breaks, including The Vampire Diaries. Thursday, January 5 sees the return Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev as Damon and Elena, as well as the rest of the cast in the episode “The New Deal.” Actually, Stefan (Paul Wesley) is missing from the episode, which is a-okay in my books. Less Stefan means more time for Damon to move in closer to Elena. This is where I would normally laugh maniacally.
As you can see from the gallery of photos for the episode below, Damon and Elena will spend a lot, a lot, of time together. They are pissed at Stefan and that anger is bringing them together like magnets. Though there’s only the two of them in...

"The Walking Dead" spent a lot of time dwelling on the dead in last week's "Save the Last One" episode, so it's only fair that the most recent outing — titled "Cherokee Rose" — focused most of its energy on the living. Hot on the heels of Otis' tragic death and Carl's stressful surgery, this week's episode finally turned up the heat and gave us a whole lot of flesh — but not the kind "Walking Dead" heads are typically used to.
We're talking, of course, about the steamy sex scene between go-to odd-jobs man Glenn (Steven Yeun) and newcomer Maggie (Lauren Cohan), daughter of farmer Hershel Greene. After Glenn successfully roped in an incredibly...

The CW sent over a small gallery of promo pics for The Vampire Diaries next episode coming at us in just two days. These compliment the tv teaser we brought you for “Ghost World” (October 27, 2011) which showed us more of the reveal from last week of Uncle Mason returning, side-by-side with Ian Somerhalder. These sneak peeks, however, while including Nina Dobrev with Paul Wesley, also have a couple that focus on Malese Jow’s Anna.
For you convenience, I’ve also reposted the aforementioned tv teaser below along with CW’s official episode summary for “Ghost World”.

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley Smells Like Teen Spirit on Vampire Diaries
This look Elena is caught in above is one I recognize. If this wasn’t the CW and Vampire Diaries, and if it was Nina Dobrev, not Elena, this pose would come with an audible “What the fu$k?”. I’ve had a lot of these directed at me in my dark (and much more fun) days, and I can tell it when I see it! Instead, this is a unusually small batch – a mere three – group of promo images sent to us by the CW for “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, this week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries.
Usually these things are Ian Somerhalder heavy but the three today are all Nina and Paul Wesley. That’s right, Stefan Salvatore fans getting some love, get out the way Damon (for a minute at least)! “Smells Like Teen...

The season finale of “The Vampire Diaries” involved memory, the movies, and, as usual, lots of blood.
Damon apologizes to Elena for feeding her his blood, but she says she needs more time. When someone feeds you their blood, a simple I’m sorry usually doesn’t cut it.

Even if you watched it, it's unlikely you'll ever remember the 90s supernatural horror/fantasy series Chiller originally shown in 1995 on ITV; There's a good reason for that. Recognisable writers and well-respected British actors make everything look good on paper, but watching the five episodes suggests they were nothing more than early pre-fame career-building work for the majority of the cast.

The CW has released promo photos for the upcoming February 24 new episode of The Vampire Diaries. Katherine continues playing mind games, which start annoying people to no end. But the Salvatore brothers and Elena grudgingly realize that they could continue to stay alive if they use her knowledge of the history of Mystic Falls. Katherine also makes some sort of a confession to Damon.
Caroline is definitely not giving up on Matt. She decides to find a way to get his attention and, from the photos below, it looks like singing is the answer. Who knew Caroline could sing?
Alaric will also be making a confession - one to Jenna. Will he tell her the truth about Isobel and his involvement in this whole crazy vampire mess or will she continue to remain in the dark? Or will he maybe confess some feelings for her? Will things get even more serious between the pair?...

Things were looking very dire for vampire Rose during the midseason finale of The Vampire Diaries. Having just been bit by werewolf Jules, we learned that werewolf bites didn't instantly kill vampires, as everyone had believed. But when we last saw Rose, it looked like her blood had been poisoned and the bite was affecting her.
When new episodes of The Vampire Diaries return on January 27, Damon will be trying to find a way to cure Rose from whatever disease is now taking hold of her. He'll also come across a guest star by the name of Jessica. Meanwhile, Elena will be put in danger (shocking!) when Damon asks her to keep an eye on Rose. We had previously posted a short promo for the new episode (view it here) and now The CW has released promotional photos and a synopsis.

Wow. Tonight's all new episode of The Vampire Diaries brought some crazy revelations to light, didn't it? It was confirmed that Katherine had a baby out of wedlock before she became a vampire and the show also revealed that she was just as devious as a human as she is as a vampire. Meanwhile, we got some teasers about Klaus and the other Originals, as well as more information about the curse. And poor Elena, she's blaming herself for all the danger that everyone is in. Plus, the newest residents in Mystic Falls, Luka and his father, are definitely up to something.

Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to Hemingway’s Garden of Eden, directed by John Irvin and starring Mena Suvari, Jack Huston, Caterina Murino, Richard E. Grant, Matthew Modine and Carmen Maura. The screenplay was adapted from the Ernest Hemingway book by former Paris Review editor James Scott Linville, and is based on Hemingway’s final novel, a jazz-age set, erotically-charged romance that was published posthumously in 1986. Hemingway’s Garden of Eden was produced for Tranquil Seas by Lorne Thyssen and Timothy J. Lewiston. The acquisition was announced by Roadside Attractions co-presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff and Ian Jessel, president of Tranquil Seas, USA.
“Ernest Hemingway is one of a handful of genius writers whose work leaps from the page to the screen brilliantly,” said Cohen, “and his Garden of Eden is lush and vibrant, in the tradition of other great Hemingway adaptations like The Sun Also Rises.

The CW promises that the season finale of "The Vampire Diaries" will serve up "chaos, destruction and death." Founder's Day sounds like a blast!
"There's a lot of stuff that happens and it's fun," Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon, tells Zap2it's KorbiTV. "It took a long time to shoot and there are eight cliffhangers. I think people are going to like it. I hope."
Eight cliffhangers! Well, Isobel planted a seed in the last episode and Stefan is keeping a close eye on Damon and Elena. Meanwhile, last minute preparations for the Founder's Day festivities are under way, but so is Johnathan Gilbert's plan (which can't be good). Can Damon and Alaric stop him in his tracks? And has Bonnie's spellbinding deception been discovered?
Check out these behind the scenes photos:

I think it's because I spent my formative years (ie. my late teens and early 20s) as a viewer of Buffy and Angel, but I can't really get behind this whole "vampires out in the daylight" thing. Don't get me wrong, I Love The Vampire Diaries, but it's just so weird, isn't it? If the Salvatore brothers didn't drink blood, you would barely know they were vampires.
