- She has the distinction of being the first major female character to drive a car in a James Bond film. Her vehicle was a pre-production Mustang, acquired from Ford for Goldfinger (1964). But there was one major obstacle for her, since she needed driving lessons.
- Mallet's stepdaughter was Louisa Radcliffe, who gained entry into the film industry by being an assistant to director Taylor Hackford on ''Proof of Life (2000)''. Hackford's wife is actress Helen Mirren, a first cousin of Mallet, whose mother, Olga (nee Mironoff), was a younger sister of Mirren's father. Mallet and Mirren enjoyed a warm relationship since childhood. In her autobiography, Mirren wrote that Tania was "impossibly beautiful and kind".
