[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ghosts Season 3, Episode 8, “Holes Are Bad.”] Ghosts was filled with surprises for fans in the latest episode, “Holes Are Bad,” as the true story behind Hetty’s (Rebecca Wisocky) was revealed in order to save Flower (Sheila Carrasco) from her place at the bottom of Woodstone’s well. When Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) step away for a romantic weekend together, the ghosts stumble upon their long-lost compadre, Flower who fell into the Woodstone well after chasing a butterfly. It turns out that the ghost who was actually “sucked off” at the end of Season 2 was actually basement ghost Ralph (Tyler Alvarez) who was bunking with attic girl, Stephanie (Odessa A’zion). With that mystery solved, the question of how to get Flower out of the well was raised. In the world of Ghosts, spirits aren’t able to climb walls, but need ground to walk on. When construction...

“Ghosts” hit another landmark on Thursday night, as this week’s episode of the hit CBS comedy revealed the truth behind Flower’s disappearance — while also, on a much more profound level, explored the truth behind Hetty’s death in 1895.
In the episode, “Holes are Bad,” when Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) go away for the weekend, the ghosts are left alone — and discover that Flower (Sheila Carrasco) hadn’t been “sucked away” to the afterlife as they thought. Instead, she’s been stuck at the bottom of a well, and had no way of getting out of it.
While they’re gone, Sam and Jay had hired a contractor to fill the well with concrete — which would have left Flower stuck in there for eternity. But with no way to contact Sam and Jay (their efforts to FaceTime the livings fails), the ghosts struggled to find another way to save her.

[This story contains spoilers from the season 3, episode 8 of Ghosts, “Holes Are Bad.”]
The premise of CBS’ hit comedy Ghosts is a notably ridiculous one: After a near-death experience, Sam (Rose McIver) can communicate with the spirits who haunt the country home she inherited from her great aunt — a group of specters from all walks of life and historical eras who died on the property at some point in time. One of those ghosts includes Hetty Woodstone (Rebecca Wisocky), the great-great-great-great-aunt to Sam, who maintains a stuffy, Gilded Age-era attitude that prides wealth and power and shows a disdain for modern times.
In the eighth episode of Ghosts‘ third season, however, we learn a surprising fact about Hetty that brings more depth to a character who has slowly revealed herself to be more than just an uptight robber baroness from a far-off generation. Unhappily married to a devious man of means, she is pinned into a corner when her...

Following in the footsteps of The Office, CBS’ Ghosts takes a BBC show and gives it an American makeover. And like the Steve Carrell hit, Ghosts has managed to break out of the shadow of its UK counterpart and created a world all its own. And as a fan of the strange and unusual, I absolutely clung to it. Ghosts is quirky and much more inappropriate than you’d think for a Network comedy. It features a fantastic cast that includes Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and the person I was lucky enough to talk with: Asher Grodman.
If there’s one thing you’ll immediately notice about Grodman’s character of Trevor, it’s his lack of pants. As someone who can’t help but think about the logistics of filming, I was dying to ask Asher about what it’s like to be the only person without pants on every day.

CBS is looking to scare up more laughs after handing an early Season 4 renewal to supernatural comedy Ghosts.
It is the latest renewal order for the Paramount-owned network, which also handed a third season to Fire Country and gave Justin Hartley series Tracker a second season earlier this month.
Ghosts, which is based on the BBC’s British comedy, has been a success for CBS since launching in 2021. Its third season is averaging over 10M viewers in live 7-day multiplatform viewing, which is marginally up from last year and streaming numbers are up on Paramount+, where the company said it ranked as its number one comedy in February.

It is safe to say that Ghosts is a hit for CBS. In the series, Sam gains the ability to see spirits after a near-death experience. The home she and her husband, Jay, have recently moved into has no shortage of spirits for her to interact with. While the series is ultimately about the living couple and the home’s spirits, the house itself, Woodstone Mansion, has become something of a character. As we dive into season three, we can’t help but wonder where Woodstone Mansion is located. We have all the details.
Where is ‘Ghosts’ set?
Sam and Jay initially resided in New York City but moved to a sprawling estate in upstate New York when Sam learned she was the only heir to the family home. The mansion is located in Ulster County in the series. Ulster County is a rural New York county about two hours...

Season 3 of Ghosts kicked off with a big reveal. The cast was making announcements ahead of the season’s premiere, though. In January, Rose McIver, the actor who portrays Sam, took to Instagram to make a big announcement of her own. She revealed that she and her husband, George Byrne, are expecting their first child together. Fans were thrilled by the news, but McIver’s pregnancy did raise a few questions. Most importantly, Ghosts fans wanted to know if the series, which premiered its third season in February, would write Rose McIver’s pregnancy into the season. We have the answer.
Rose McIver’s pregnancy has not been written into ‘Ghosts’
Rose McIver is preparing to welcome her first child into the world, but her character won’t be doing the same. When Rose McIver appeared visibly pregnant at the Golden Globe Awards, fans quickly assumed that season 3 of Ghosts would have a pregnancy storyline.

One of Ghosts' showrunners addressed the possibility of seeing Sam's pregnancy brought to life in the series.
Rose McIver returns as Samantha Arondekar in Season 3. Sam is one of the show's main protagonists who can interact with ghosts after suffering a near-death experience in Season 1.
While the identity of the ghost who moved on to the afterlife was resolved (spoiler: it's Flower), another lingering question on fans' minds is whether a pregnancy is in the cards for one of its protagonists.

You know what they say: Time flies when you’re trying to solve a supernatural-tinged murder mystery in perpetual darkness while simultaneously struggling with the unbearable weight of personal trauma. Or, something like that.
As unbelievable as it may seem, we’ve reached the end of the road with “True Detective: Night Country.” The show, which comes to a close Sunday at 9/8c, successfully revived the flagging HBO anthology by turning the concept on its head (and seemingly taking a few cues from fellow HBO limited series “Mare of Easttown”). Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the Season 3 premiere of “Ghosts,” titled “The Owl,” which aired Feb. 15 on CBS.
Flower, hopefully you’re finally getting to cuddle a few bears up there in the sky. Yes, you read that right: There’s one less ghost on “Ghosts,” as the characters said farewell to Flower on the Season 3 premiere of CBS’ hit comedy.
The series finally returned on Thursday (after a long strikes-induced delay), and we learned which spirit had been finally sent to the afterlife. After a few fakeouts, the ghosts discovered that it was Flower (Sheila Carrasco) who was “sucked off” in the Season 2 finale, as witnessed by Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar).
Flower is the 1960s-era hippie who died trying to hug a bear while high on acid, and remained a bit forgetful and drugged-out while living in the purgatory that is Woodstone Mansion.

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the Season 3 premiere of CBS’ Ghosts.
It’s been a while since we’ve caught up with the inhabitants of Woodstone Mansion.
When Season 2 of CBS’ Ghosts ended, audiences were left with quite the cliffhanger, as one of the ghosts finally moved on. Or, as the other ghosts call it, “got sucked off.” Just like the audience, Jay [Utkarsh Ambudkar] and Sam [Rose McIver] also aren’t privy to whose departed the manor, since they only saw a flash of light from their car to indicate that someone was gone.
The Season 3 premiere doesn’t waste any time solving that mystery. After a quick headcount, Jay and Sam discover that it was Flower who finally crossed over to the other side. Bad news for Thor, who was madly in love with Flower. Meanwhile, some of the others have complicated feelings about her departure because,...

Ghosts will finally return for its long-awaited third season on CBS on Thursday, February 15, and while some fans may still be wondering about Season 2’s lingering question of which ghost was “sucked off,” new questions have since surfaced. Fans of star Rose McIver, who plays “living” Sam, may have noticed when she presented at the Golden Globe Awards that she’s pregnant, leading to the question of how that might impact her story in the series. “We’re not writing it in,” co-showrunner Joe Wiseman tells TV Insider. “Currently, Jay and Sam aren’t going to have kids.” (Credit: Bertrand Calmeau/CBS) At least not now. No, it will be business as usual for McIver’s Sam and her husband, fellow “living” Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar). While the pair will do their best to uncover the mystery behind Season 2’s cliffhanger in the premiere, they’re also moving forward with expanding...

It’s a real case of life imitating art in this exclusive Ghosts promo which will air during the Super Bowl broadcast as Sam (Rose McIver), Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), and the spirits of Woodstone sit down to watch the 1990 classic Ghost. The film starring Patrick Swayze, Whoopi Goldberg, and Demi Moore seems to enchant the whole group as they get swept up in the technicalities of it all. As they watch the scene in which Goldberg’s Oda Mae slides a penny under the door of Molly’s (Moore) apartment, Swayze’s Sam begins to push the coin up the wall as proof of his presence. “So frustrating, why she not believe husband is ghost?” Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) asks in annoyance. (Credit: CBS) “See, if you were a ghost, we wouldn’t have to worry because I’d still be able to see you,” Sam tells Jay who can...
