FM's EDitor heeds Forry's lesson: Make sure you always properly dress-up for special occasions. Preparing for Mil Mascaras' induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
This past weekend you humble EDitor braved the masses in Miami to see a phenomenon which horror fans already know: That which is dead cannot die.
Yes, on April 1 The Undertaker defeated Triple H for the second straight year. The win moves ‘Taker’s undefeated streak at Wrestlemania to 20-0. While there was much debate amongst the crowd as to the potential outcome, it always felt that The Dead Man was the odds-on favorite to get the ‘W’. The match wasn’t just any match, but the always electric Hell in a Cell steel cage extravaganza. The match was easily one of the two most intense matches of the evening (right up next to Rock v Cena) with much of the crowd not even using their seats for the duration.

It was announced today that us Brits will be getting a special edition of WWE ’12 this May – titled ‘WWE 12: Wrestlemania Edition’ to celebrate the biggest WWE event of the calendar.
The edition will be exclusive to Europe, and will give gamers access to all content from the current game plus addition playable characters:
The Rock Shawn Michaels Jerry “The King” Lawler Jim Ross “Macho Man” Randy Savage Trish Stratus Batista Mick Foley Brodus Clay Michael Cole Brie Bella Nikki Bella Vickie Guerrero Kharma Alicia Fox
There’s also a handful of alternative costumes on offer: Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal, Edge and Christian.
So for those of you, like myself, who just watched Wresltemania 28 and then read Matthew Robinson’s post, this all-inclusive release sounds pretty promising. In my opinion, a great little set-up for getting back into wrestling.
There is no set PR or marketing for the release yet,...

After thirty minutes of hard hitting action, Undertaker defeated Triple H with a tombstone to extend the streak to 20-0. Match was full of intense, emphatic drama but a little repetitive.
Undertaker battered Triple H to start with, but Hunter then retaliated by ploughing the Deadman into a set of steel steps with a spinebuster before hammering his opponent relentlessly with a chair and telling Referee Shawn Michaels to stop the match. He almost did so but was taken out by Taker who gradually recovered to regain his bearings in the match.
Best moment of the bout then followed when Triple H reversed a tombstone attempt by pushing The Undertaker into Shawn who hit the Deadman with a sweet chin Music causing Taker to then rebound right into a pedigree attempt for a near fall.
Later Undertaker got his revenge by going crazy on Triple H with a chair and asking him to stay down.

Finally it is upon us. With the go home shows this week we are treated to the final push to this Sunday, when Wrestlemania 28 will hit Miami, and television screens around the world. The Raw Supershow was effectively the final chance for feuds to hit boiling point, with Smackdown more a collection of video packages hyping the big show as it is each year.
Raw saw John Cena and The Rock exchange words for the last time before they exchange blows on Sunday. Meanwhile Jericho pushed Cm Punk to breaking point, Cody Rhodes got to Big Show, and Team Teddy and Team Johnny were both finalised.
John Cena vs The Rock
Nothing new was really said this week from the two men on whose shoulders the rise and fall of Wrestlemania 28 may well rest, but they both cut excellent promos. Where as in the past weeks Rocky has relied too...

Meanwhile Chris Jericho continued to aggravate Cm Punk who took out his frustrations by injuring his scheduled opponent Christian and Daniel Bryan dealt a psychological blow to Sheamus by pinning the Irishman in a tag match also featuring Randy Orton and Kane.
In a Nutshell: We’re just five days away from the biggest wwe match of the last ten years.
1.) Tag Match: Daniel Bryan and Kane defeated Randy Orton and Sheamus via pinfall
Orton outpowered and outmanoeuvred Bryan in a fluid exchange to start before Sheamus suffered the initial beatdown from the heels. It's been a newsy day. We lost Tonino Guerra and Ulu Grosbard, the Hong Kong and New Directors/New Films festivals have opened, Takashi Miike has yet another film on the way and Casablanca, celebrating its 70th, is playing coast to coast. It's also been a fine day for posters, so I'm pepping up today's Briefing with a few for festivals and events happening soon or already ongoing. Kevin Tong designed the one above for the three films that Edgar Wright will be on hand to present at the opening of the Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane in Austin this weekend.

Last night’s Raw SuperShow results from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The show starts with WWE Champion Cm Punk in the ring. He informs the crowd that Chris Jericho isn’t at the arena tonight. He says that Jericho pissed him off last week and that it was none of his business to talk about Punk’s father and his drink problem last week. He says Jericho’s comments have let out a monster in him that will come out at WrestleMania 28.
Jericho appears on screen via satellite. He apologies for making things personal last week and shouldn’t have said that about his father. He says he instead should have talked about his sister who is a substance abuser!
1) Kane defeats Big Show via a Chokeslam after interference from WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes on commentary.

With just two full weeks before Wrestlemania descends upon the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, the Road to Wrestlemania truly ratcheted up a notch this week, with The Rock and Cena getting musical, Cm Punk and Chris Jericho getting personal, and Hbk getting tuned up.
The Rock vs John Cena
In the last edition of the Road to Wrestlemania 2012, I suggested that after their two previous meetings, John Cena had gained the upper hand over The Rock with his much more effective promos and apparent ability to cut through The Rock’s catchphrases. Predictably, this was met with much condemnation. As neither of them are particularly my favourite wrestler, I am simply calling it as I see it, and with no loyalties involved, the simple fact is Cena has looked the sharper. This week on Raw, for some reason,...

Another week on the road to the grandest show of them all in Miami. This week saw Raw calling into Boston, the hometown of a certain John Cena, to progress his feud with The Rock, while also offering up the latest addition to the feud between The Undertaker and Triple H. Meanwhile Smackdown saw developments with Kane v Randy Orton, as well as serving to up the ante between General Managers Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis.
The Undertaker v Triple H
With The Undertaker not in attendance in Boston, Shawn Michaels made his return to address a few issues he had with his friend Triple H following The Game’s confrontation with ‘Taker. This feud is becoming marred in a bog of slow running promos, the lack of action I assume a result of wanting to keep the two old warhorses out of the ring. As a result, at present...

WWE confirmed during last night’s Raw SuperShow that ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels will make his return on next week’s Raw show to participate as build up to the WWE WrestleMania 28 event in April.
It has been widely speculated that Hbk will be the special guest referee for the expected Triple H vs. The Undertaker rematch at WrestleMania.
The seeds of Michaels getting involved in the main event should start to be planted from next week on the Raw SuperShow from Valley View Casino in San Diego, California. What is not particularly clear at this point is just how WWE creative positions Michaels as the referee for the match but it will probably have something to do with John Laurinaitis making the call.

According to WWELiveTour.com, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels is due to appear on the February 13th Raw SuperShow from Valley View Casino in San Diego, California.
His return will mark his first appearance on Raw since the June 27th, 2011 show. It is likely that this won’t just be a one off appearance and he will make sporadic appearances leading into April 1st’s WrestleMania event.
Shawn’s appearance is likely so the WWE officials get him involved in The Undertaker vs. Triple H WrestleMania 28 match where Hbk will act as the special guest referee. The idea being played up is that having Michaels involved as the official will make the odds of The Undertaker beating Hhh again feel more slim, because of Hbk’s past relationship with Triple H and because The Undertaker was the wrestler who retired him in the very same match years ago.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson will be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame from Miami, Florida during the WrestleMania 28 weekend.
TMZ leaked the news and have quotes from Tyson;
“I am honored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, but the most fun I ever had in the ring was with WWE.”
Mike Tyson was involved in one of the most famous celebrity appearances in WWE history when he confronted Stone Cold Steve Austin during an episode of Raw in early 1998 which enjoyed a media blitz like no other angle. He then joined D-Generation X for a short time before acting as special enforcer for the Steve Austin vs Shawn Michaels main event match at WrestleMania 14.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current plan is for Shawn Michaels to referee the Triple H vs. The Undertaker re-match at Wrestlemania 28, the second main event of the show behind The Rock vs. John Cena. The idea is that Michaels being the ref, aside from adding an extra spice of considerable star power to the show, will add intrigue to the match in that Hbk failed twice to break the streak and Hhh once last year, and now they could controversially team-up to screw Taker out of his marquee achievement. Very smart move WWE.
Because of the drawing power behind a Hhh vs. The Undertaker rematch, there is now the idea that perhaps The Rock vs. John Cena should be for the WWE Title, rather than having that be the third main event down the card between the two bouts above. Cm Punk vs. Chris Jericho is still favourite...

Dave Meltzer has confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Triple H vs The Undertaker is set as one of the main events at next year’s Wrestlemania, coming April 1st from Miami, Florida. This will be a rematch from last year’s epic encounter at Wrestlemania 27 and mirrors the back-to-back Wrestlemania matches Shawn Michaels had with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania where he tried to break Taker’s streak.
The build up to the match started last night on Raw when Triple H won a Slammy Award in relation to last year’s match. He trash talked The Undertaker, saying that by being the first superstar to injury him and force him out on a stretcher, even though he lost the Wrestlemania match, Hunter effectively ended the Deadman’s streak.
Of course we should not forget that plans change at the WWE on a regular basis but previous reports said that...

WWE 12 will finally hit stores on Tuesday (in the U.S.) and on Friday (in the U.K.) and after some stellar reviews in the last few days, I don’t remember being this excited about a wrestling video game in years. IGN’s 9.0 scoring review mentioned the gameplay was ‘No Mercy like’ several times and there is actually a combat system here that makes sense and isn’t just a flashy presentation with no substance to the graphics. But then they still have the graphics and all the cool modes and the first time, Thq’s video game franchise feels like it belongs on the shelf alongside the mastered EA sports franchises of FIFA and Madden. IGN overall called it ‘amazing’.
Over the past few months, Thq have teased us as to what wrestlers will be included in the game and now on the eve of release we have a final figure.

Last week we reported that WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels had been backstage during the Vengeance PPV having early talks with officials about a possible comeback. The idea banded about for the comeback was that Triple H and Shawn Michaels would reform D-Generation X in a bid to battle Kevin Nash and John Laurinaitis.
In perhaps related news, Shawn Michaels has hinted on Twitter today that he will be meeting with Triple H tonight in Miami, Florida. He said;
“Bat phone ringing off the hook!! Gotta meet my partner in crime in Miami tonight. What in the heck does WWE have going on in Miami?? :-)”
Of course what Hbk is referring to is next year’s Wrestlemania 28 which takes place on April 1st from Miami, Florida. Ticketmaster had a ticket pre-sale for the event today for those with the online passwords (which were available everywhere) before the full...

On Raw this past week, Triple H mentioned a few of his former friends in a promo calling out Kevin Nash (this before he got whacked with a sledgehammer)…. specifically Shawn Michaels and Sean Waltman (when was the last time you heard that name on Raw?).
Vince McMahon is notorious for not hinting at names that aren’t on the active roster without having a plan to bring them back into the fold.
With that in mind, PWInsider.com are reporting that there’s been some talk in the WWE of reuniting D-Generation X with Shawn Michaels and Triple H. The reports comes just a few weeks after Hhh and Hbk re-formed their famous tag team at a Smackdown taping in Dallas that was only for the live audience and didn’t air on television.
Reforming Dx given the current storyline where Hunter has just lost his privileges of running...

This latest episode of Ring Of Honor Wrestling was recorded from Loiusville, Kentucky, and right off the bat we get treated to a little sample of how Roh’s new show is slowly adding to its presentation style. We see commentators Nigel McGuinnes and Kevin Kelly on screen broadcasting together for the first time. It’s a nice touch, giving Roh a little more legitimacy as a contender in the broadcast stakes, and also charmingly reminiscent of Joey Style’s old backstage area in Ecw. There’s even a chain link fence in the background. They tell us that the show’s main event will be Jay Lethal’s first defence of his Television Championship against Mike Bennet. I have to say, its really cool that there is a title match each week, it gives it a real big fight feel every week.

Recently, BuzzFocus spoke with legendary WWE wrestler Shawn Michaels, aka The Hearthbreak Kid (Hbk), on Cabela’s two new hunting games: Big Game Hunter 2012 and Survival: Shadows of Katmai. We also get to hear his thoughts on what’s going on in the WWE and his upcoming reunion show with Triple H. In this interview, Michaels talks about improvements in the game. For real life big game hunters he makes reference to Bullet Drop Compensation (Bdc) as well as how the animals will react differently in this game versus past versions. Michaels, who has his own hunting show on the Outdoor Channel, played previous versions of the game with his son and appreciate the detail Activision has put into this new title. Michaels also comments on the difference between western hunting and blind hunting, which is more popular in his hometown of Texas. Here are some keypoints in the interview:...

In the history of the WWE is it possible to find a Superstar who splits the audience more so than ‘the champ’ John Cena? It would be hard to imagine any wrestler that gets such reactions and gets such emotion out of the live event crowds – both in positives and negatives. He’s in a unique position of where a section of the audience give him support no matter what and love him, his ‘CeNation’, the people who regularly chant “Let’s Go Cena!” every Monday Night on Raw, and Sunday on a pay-per-view.
While on the other side there is the section of fans that have a hate for Cena that runs to their spine, and chant “Cena Sucks!”, as well as “ You Can’t Wrestle”. Most of these fans are those that go on the internet and know the ins and outs of the wrestling world, the “smart” fans.

The Big News: Cm Punk tears up his newly vamped WWE contract and promises to walk away from the WWE with the title at Money in the Bank.
Six days before Money in the Bank and two weeks after cutting one of the most memorable promos in WWE history, Cm Punk reemerged from his temporary suspension with a smile on his face and a loudspeaker in his hands. He recapped what had transpired over the past couple of weeks and how he had been penalised for speaking his mind about WWE politics, passionately exclaiming that in his hands a microphone was not just a tool; it was power. He then explained that he wanted Vince to settle their contract negotiation inside the square circle later on in the show.
This brought out John Cena who graciously cut out his usual lame comedy and actually delivered a fantastic, concise promo about...

Comic-Con International has released the full schedule for Sunday July 24th for San Diego Comic-Con 2011. This is the final day of the convention. Sunday is known as Kids day and is usually the slowest of all the days, there are a few surprises though. In all my years of going to Comic-Con I've never been to a panel in Hal H. Usually nothing is happening in Hall H on Sunday, this year there are a few TV programs going on in Hall H such a as Glee, Supernatural, Doctor Who, The Cleveland Show, Sons of Anarchy, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and this year Buffy the Musical will be in the great Hall as well. I've never been to the Buffy Musical event, and I think I finally want to go this year. A couple of other things worth noting are a one on one panel with Nathan Fillion, and Max Brooks talks about zombies.

While an actor by the name of "Paul Levesque" might not ring a bell, it's more likely you would know him as Hunter Hearst Helmsley or "Triple H," a professional wrestler who has gone to the very heights of the sports entertainment business after seventeen years in the ring. He has become hugely popular because of it, most famously for his run with Shawn Michaels turning the WWE (then known as the WWF) on its ear as "D-Generation X," possibly the closest thing professional wrestling had to the Sex Pistols back in the day. Seven years after co-starring in the comic book threequel Blade: Trinity , Levesque is back in movie theaters with WWE Studios' latest, The Chaperone , a very different film that what one might expect from wrestling's perennial tough...

All throughout the NFL season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been making a name for himself not only because of his impressive statistics and clear leadership skills, but also because of his signature touchdown celebration. Whenever the 27-year-old Rodgers scored a touchdown, he made a motion with his hands as though they were wrapping around his waste — the sign that boxers, professional wrestlers and Mma fighters use to let the viewing audience know that they want the championship belt.
While some stuffy sports writers got all uppity about Rodgers' celebration (because apparently professional football players should be boring, charisma-free workhorses), but the crew here at MTV News (which includes a handful of hardcore wrestling and Mma fans) totally endorsed Rodgers' celebration. So when Rodgers received the Super Bowl Mvp award following his team's 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night (February 6), the moment became just a...

WWE has made a smart move in recent years, mining its back catalog not only for special wrestler-specific DVD releases, but for a flood of online subscription-based content that changes on a regular basis. And one of the latest releases from WWE Home Video may be the best yet. Raw: The Beginning: The Best of Seasons 1 & 2 is a collection of four discs, compiling some of the best matches and moments from Monday Night Raw’s airings in 1993 and 1994, or as many old wrestling fans know it, “when wrestling was good.” While newer fans and the WWE staff of today might take issue with that, Raw during this period undoubtedly featured some of the most iconic, larger-than-life characters that the sports entertainment world has ever seen. Over the course of these discs, fans get to see the rise of superstars like The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels and Big ...

Dogfight, produced by Tara Cardinal and Devanny Pinn, and scripted by Jen and Sylvia Soska (Dead Hooker in a Trunk), pits woman against woman in a violent fight for survival.
The film, which is still in preproduction, is a low budget indie and will be directed by Sean Michael Argo. Dogfight will feature actors Tara Cardinal, Elske McCain, Tara Alexis, Rachel Grubb, Jose Rosete, Devanny Pinn, Bill Oberst Jr, Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska.
The small synopsis so far states: Kidnapped girls are trained to live and fight as dogs in a high priced underground ring.
I wonder if that means they fight Like dogs literally? Like, do they have to bite each other instead of punching? God, I hope so.
The film starts filming in Los Angeles, California in September, 2010. More as we hear it.

They say a well-rounded education is the key to success, and if that truly is the case, the my schooling is woefully incomplete when it comes to the subject of pop. That's why we bring you "Popology," the guide to modern radio-friendly stars as seen through the eyes of a guy who grew up on punk and metal. In case you missed previous installments, catch up with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and the Spice Girls here.

If there's one thing that stood out about the sad passing of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, it's the fact that there was a time in this country when metal was totally accepted in the mainstream. And we're not talking about the type of metal that Guns N' Roses...

At WrestleMania 26, the storied career of Shawn Michaels spanning 25 years came to a dramatic conclusion in an epic rematch with WrestleMania’s longest undefeated superstar, The Undertaker. Just before the finale of his show-stopping career, WWE Home Video released the second career retrospective for the Heartbreak Kid, titled My Journey. My Journey is another 3-disc set, similar to Heartbreak & Triumph, but instead of providing a documentary on the first disc, My Journey is primarily filled out by matches, and framed by a sit-down stage interview with Michael Cole. Despite the heat he often gets (and deserves) for his announcing skills, Cole does a tolerable job in the interview setting. Unlike Heartbreak & Triumph, though, the controversy is mostly glossed over. Moments like the Montreal Screwjob at The Kliq, that were discussed in-depth the first time around, are only hinted at on this release. The only thing close to controversy is ...
