When Jayan succumbed to his injuries from his famed helicopter flight in Kolilakkam, it was Nazir who singlehandedly financed a flight from Chennai to bring his mortal remains back to Trivandrum. He also was responsible for recommending and giving chances to his film colleagues. Its reputed that he had a sharp memory and could immediately recognize someone instantly.
