During her career actress Teruko Omi was in approximately 200 films, including the classics like Sansho Dayu and Ugetsu Monogarati and several Zatoichi roles where she appeared in different roles, starting with 1948's Sanjusan No Ashiato (Thirty Tree Footprints), but first she was a member of the Takarazuka dancing and musical troupe. Later in life she taught acting. She died at age 90 in 2011.
