Harry Reems was born on 27 August 1947 in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor and director. He was previously married to Jeanne Sterret. He died on 19 March 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
After his porn career waned and he couldn't find work, he became a serious alcoholic who ended up in Los Angeles, begged on the streets and often slept in dumpsters. He briefly considered suicide, but by 1989 he was living in Park City, UT, and used a 12-step program to stop drinking. He even converted to Christianity, obtained a real estate license and married Jeanne Sterret.
Being the low-bottom drunk that I was, I started going around to churches. I called myself a church gypsy [But] if I didn't put God in my life, I'd be dead now. I am not religious. I'm spiritual, 100 percent.
