Has there been an episode of Revenge so far where giant secrets aren't revealed to the sounds of heavy violin music? Tonight was certainly no exception to this formula.
"Collusion" put Emily and Aiden's missions - and therefore Emily and Aiden - at odds, while revealing key information regarding the Initiative.
Stonehaven's role was made clear tonight, as was that of Carrion. Stonehaven is a disaster relief firm. Carrion is a program that creates disasters. Both are necessary for whatever it is The Initiative has planned.
Yes, the plot has thickened. Again. But in true Revenge fashion, let's rewind about an hour to the beginning of "Collusion."
Daniel, ever eager, asks Emily to lunch. For oysters. Which are an aphrodisiac. Way to take it slow, Daniel. The oysters are in L.A. so instead of flying in the oysters, he takes Emily to them. But lunch isn't the only reason for the trip.

Plus, Emily reveals (yet another) shocking secret to Daniel about his mother!
The Jan. 20 episode of Revenge got pretty heated when Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel (Joshua Bowman) flew off to Los Angeles, as Helen Crowley ordered Aiden to kill Victoria (Madeleine Stowe). You know, just the usual Revenge drama.
Daniel had a meeting with Stonehaven, a disaster-relief company Grayson Global wished to procure, and he needed his lucky charm — aka his ex-fiancé Emily — by his side. Daniel also had a little pleasure in mind for the trip, but his getaway was quickly ruined by Victoria. She showed up to make sure Jason secured Stonehaven in order to protect her son, all the while unaware that Aiden had also arrived — to kill her! Helen suggested Aiden’s sister was still alive, and in order to get her back, he must kill the Queen of the Hamptons.
Initially, Mr. Procer dropped...

This week's "Winter Finale" wasn't as good as last week's flashback, but what it lacked in Adrienne Barbeau it made up for in Ashley's comeuppance, the Nolan and Marco reunion, and one of the goofiest endings of the year. All in all, I'd rank it as the second best episode of the season, and it sets things up nicely for the return next month.
Let's take a look at the individual stories.
Emily/The Graysons
We start with some skeet shooting, because ... why not? Naturally, Victoria is an expert, while Conrad is a bit rusty, but they're really here for the benefit of rich investor Salvador, who holds the key to who will control Grayson Global. If they can convince him to vote no to Daniel's takeover attempt, it'll fail, and the company will remain under Conrad's control.
Victoria and Conrad have other problems, though, as...

At this point, Revenge is basically two shows. We have Emily's adventures in global conspiracy, multinational corporate espionage and romance, and we have Jack Porter's descent into mediocre mid-'90s indie crime-drama hell. I love what happened this week in the former, but if the writers can't figure out how to make the latter less clichéd as the wreck of the Amanda approaches, I worry for the whole endeavor.

Little Carl’s immortal soul was consecrated to God in this week’s Revenge, but the reverend probably should’ve sprinkled a little heavenly protection on daddy Jack and Uncle Declan, too — they’re really going to need it. Meanwhile, Emily and her new man positioned Daniel exactly where they (and Americon Initiative) wanted him, and Nolan’s ex made it clear he’s here for a while. Remember: This episode was your last taste of Hamptons hijinks for 2012, so savor every moment as we review the major developments of “Revelations.”
