Microsoft has confirmed that its keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month will be the firm's last, as it focuses on alternative ways to reach its customers. CES is widely regarded as one of the world's premier consumer technology events and the place where numerous companies showcase their latest products and announcements for the year ahead. Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer will give the opening keynote of the conference on Monday, January 9, but this will mark Microsoft's final appearance after a 20-year association with the Consumer Electronics Association show. Alongside the dropping of its annual keynote address, Microsoft will also not run any booths after next year.
