Sherif was born in 1940 in Alappuzha, Kerala, British India. He was a writer, known for Eeta (1978), Ezhamkadalinakkare (1979) and Piriyilla Naam (1984). He was married to Naseema. He died on 2 December 2015 in Kottayam, Kerala, India.
