Has two children: son Vishnu and daughter Sivakami.
Worked as a media researcher and creative contributor for BBC, and with
Channel Four Televisions of Britain for their multi-racial programs.
He made his name as a young director with Doordarsan. His features for
television and cinema in Kerala have won him several national and state
awards.
Won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Director for the film,
Akale (2004). He also won the Best Director Award for Agni Sakshi (1999), which also
garnered the 'Aravindan Puraskaram' for Best Debut Film and the
National Award for the Best Regional Film.
Received a degree in Theatre Arts from the eminent School of Drama of
Calicut University, India. Received his Masters in Media Productions at
the Hull University, United Kingdom.
