India’s biggest celebration of music, The Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) has unveiled its most illustrious nominee list for the year. Only the most outstanding in the industry have the honor of receiving a GiMAnomination, with only the finest getting a chance to walk awaywith the most coveted music award in India- the GiMA award.
For the film category, Bajirao Mastani bagged the maximum nominations by receiving a nod in nine categories. Following closely with seven nominations is the super hit movie Tamasha and Roy with six.

"Bollywood star Dev Anand, a charismatic and flamboyant Indian film fixture for more than a half-century, has died of a heart attack in London," reports Katy Daigle for the AP. "He was 88. Famed for his roles in dozens of movies, including Jewel Thief and Guide, the veteran actor, director and producer was working up to the last minute, with a new script in the works. August 7, 2010: It has now been officially declared. The serial ‘Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah’ on Sony is wrapping up on September 2 this year.
It was earlier rumored that the show was going off air because of its low ratings. It was also said that Archana Taide also known as Anmol was going to be changed.
It now seems that the girl Archana will stay put till the coming month. Producer Siddharth Tewary said that the show didn’t go well and therefore, it would be taken off air.
Varun Badola, who essays the role of Kaliprasad said that one of the primary reasons as to why it didn’t.

Apparently, the timings for Siddharth Tewary’s show, Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah on Sony Entertainment have been changed. The show was expected to go on air from April 26 at 8.30 pm, Monday to Thursday, half an hour before Indian Idol 5. However, channel insiders say that the show will now go on air in the first or the second week of May.
