The producer's credits include One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rocky, Apocalypse Now, Raging Bull, Sleepless in Seattle, The Terminator, Platoon, Black Swan, Zodiac, Miss Potter and Shutter Island. The Beverly Hills International Film Festival opens April 25 with the U.S. premiere of The Black Tulip, a drama filmed entirely in Afghanistan. The film, directed by Sonia Nassery Cole, will mark its debut at the at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences at 7:30 p.m. It was Afghanistan's official entry for the 2010 Oscars' foreign film category, and centers on a family's fight for freedom against the encroaching Taliban.
