Petra Tikalova

Petra Tikalova was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic. After a
successful career as a fashion model, Petra moved to Los Angeles to
pursue her acting career. She starred in such theater productions as
Kobro and Loose Ends. Petra was also the star of Bunny, an independent
feature film which took the 2001 Maverick Spirit Award at Cinequest and
was honored with two Independent Spirit Award nominations.
Deciding that she wanted to move behind the camera and become a filmmaker herself, Petra attended Columbia College Hollywood, where she graduated Valedictorian of her 2003 class. Petra Tikalova is featured in The National Dean's List 2003-2004 as an outstanding college student in America.
Throughout her studies Petra made a number of short films and music videos. Her short film "My Little Jerry" was nominated for best film at the AFFMA International Film Festival. In 2007 Petra was awarded an MFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University. Among other awards, Petra is also recipient of the prestigious Dreier Family Editing Award for "Observation", a short film that she wrote, directed and edited.
