Miss Barcelona in the early 1930s.
Chorus girl and, after WW2, singer in the zarzuela company of Pedro Terol and Marcos Redondo, she became the supporting star of the vaudeville company of Celia Gámez. She was on and off stage during her film acting career up to the 1950s.
She kissed Armando Calvo in El pobre rico (1942) on screen, and thus revolutionized the film industry in Spain. Until then, the Government censorship imposed a "fondu" in black so that spectators would imagine there was a kiss, but they wouldn't see it.
After a few years off movies, she did a great comeback in _Dónde vas, Alfonso XII? (1958)_ but her last films were tame comedies.
