- Has always been interested in wine-making and hopes to one day own his own vineyard.
- Has several solo side "band" projects - la Esperanza, Angry Chiwawah, InnerFace, Sonic Head, MyTherapy and Super Loaded - in which he writes, performs, produces, engineers and mixes all the music. Also has a side project called "La La La" with ex Empire (2015) co-writers Ashley Ballard and Shon Loyd.

- His last name was originally hyphenated (Villa-Lobos) and is pronounced "Via lobos" which means "House of the Wolves".
- Grew up with actress, Patricia Kara and remains close.
- Sometimes uses the alias CJ Villa when collaborating.
