Lie To Me star Tim Roth is staying in business with 20th Century Fox TV, the studio behind the Fox drama series, through a talent holding/producing deal. Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (the guys who brought us Glee) American Horror Story is shaping up to be one of the scariest new shows on television.
Described by Murphy as a “psychosexual thriller” American Horror Story centres on the Harmon family who move from Boston to Los Angeles to try and reconcile their troubled past only to find that their new home has a troubled past of its own. The cast includes Dylan McDermott as Ben Harmon, a psychiatrist, Connie Britton as Vivien Harmon, Ben’s wife, Taissa Farmiga as Violet, the Harmon’s teenage daughter; Jessica Lange as Constance, the Harmon’s neighbour; Evan Peters as Tate Langdon, one of Ben’s patients; and Denis O’Hare as Larry Harvey.
The creators say they took inspiration from horror films of the 70’s, such as Rosemary’s Baby, Don’t Look Now and The Shining and it seems to have worked.
