America’s fastest ‘Family’ is all set to amp up the action to eleven with the upcoming Fast X sequel. The eleventh and as of now final installment of the Fast & Furious franchise will reportedly begin filming in 2025 after several delays and is scheduled to release in 2026, twenty-five years after the first film came out.
Fast X has already teased the return of Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs after Johnson and series star Vin Diesel had a falling out on the sets of Fate of the Furious. The stars have reportedly put the past behind them and Johnson may just return for a full-fledged part in the finale. So, does that mean John Cena’s Jakob Toretto will clash with Hobbs?

Jeopardy! contestant Dave Bond not only claimed victory on Thursday, December 6, but, unofficially speaking, delivered the week’s most hilarious moment with an “academic” blunder about The Fast & The Furious franchise that sent fans racing to social media. Bond, a retired grant writer from West Henrietta, New York, faced returning champ Stevie Ruiz, a front desk manager from Montauk, New York, with a two-day total of $35,987, and Lisa Dileo, a business support analyst from Garwood, New Jersey. During the Jeopardy! round, Ruiz picked the $800 clue in “On the Movie Map,” which read: “A 2006 sequel: ‘The Fast & The Furious _ Drift.'” The correct response was Tokyo Drift, the third installment in the action franchise starring Vin Diesel, the late Paul Walker, and The Rock. But Bond buzzed in first with, “What is: Continental?” Host Ken Jennings ruled him incorrect with a swift no. Ruiz followed up with the right answer.

If a fan had asked the Fast & Furious franchise cast about Dwayne Johnson a year ago, the tension could have cleaved the air in two. But like a leopard that never changes its spot, The Rock returns to helm one of the most explosive action movies on the planet with enough conviction to make us doubt whether a feud ever existed in the first place.

Dwayne Johnson explains why he declined Vin Diesel’s pleas to return to the ‘Fast & Furious franchise (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Dwayne Johnson isn’t budging—he’s not returning to Fast & Furious, no matter how hard Vin Diesel pleads. Despite Diesel’s November Instagram post begging him to return for the Fast 10 finale, Johnson made it clear: no chance. In private, he told Diesel that he was done with the franchise months earlier. So, when Diesel went public with his appeal, Johnson was caught off guard.
In that post, Diesel called Johnson “my little brother” and begged him to show up. “The world awaits the finale of Fast 10,” Diesel wrote, adding, “You must show up.” But Johnson wasn’t having any of it. He slammed the plea as manipulation, especially for bringing up his kids and Paul Walker’s death. “Leave them out of it,” he said, making...

Did You Know Eminem Was The First Choice To Play Brian O’Connor’s Role In Fast and the Furious? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
When it comes to best action franchises, few made a significant impact as The Fast and the Furious. What began as a film about car street racing quickly evolved into a saga of high-stakes espionage and extraordinary feats. As the franchise garnered immense popularity, the late actor Paul Walker became synonymous with protagonist Brian O’Connor. However, reports later revealed that rap legend Eminem was initially considered for the role.
With the last chapter of The Fast and the Furious saga slated for a 2025 release, the franchise’s legacy is highlighted towards its final stretch with one more trilogy. The final movie will also bring the original film back into focus, especially the characters and the chemistry between Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Connor. Despite their different backgrounds,...

The Halloween season is nearly over. What does that mean, exactly? Fall is very firmly here and winter is just around the corner. November is coming to help us bridge the gap between spooky season and the Christmas season. It's the most wonderful time of year and Netflix has a lot of great stuff coming our way that month. It's a lot more than the live clown show that is "Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson." From beloved comedies to what is sure to be a new campy holiday classic, I've highlighted some of the best movies and TV shows coming to Netflix in November for viewers to stream. Let's get into it!

Overseeing the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch is no small feat, but Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) does it well, and with style. In Taylor Sheridan's hit series "Yellowstone," Rip's responsibilities as a foreman are just one aspect of his personality, as his complex motivations and no-nonsense outlook have helped evolve the character into a fan favorite. Rip's relationship with Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) has also come a long way, with the two overcoming the obstacles surrounding a traditional star-crossed lovers scenario and becoming an unstoppable duo, here to stay despite the constant attacks on the Duttons throughout the series.
Hauser plays Rip with equal parts restrained ruthlessness and vulnerability, creating a balanced outlook that is intensely flawed but still easy to root for. Part of Rip's moral dilemma stems from his difficult past, which he constantly ran away from to avoid the trauma associated with his family before the...

Could Timothée Chalamet’s Character in Dune Be Hiding a Dark Prophecy That Could Change the Course of the Universe? (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Hold onto your still suits, folks! Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides might be the chosen one of Arraki. But what if there’s some dark prophecy lurking in the dunes?
Paul Atreides already owns the big screen in Dune: Part One (2021). He made a fiery comeback in Dune: Part Two (2024). He’s also booked for Dune 3, which draws from Frank Herbert’s Dune: Messiah. But the real kicker? Dune: Prophecy’s ready to step away from Paul’s heroic saga to dive deep into the Bene Gesserit’s shadowy origins. This prequel is based on Sisterhood of Dune by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert. It rewinds the clock by a casual 10,000 years, unearthing the very foundations of this power-wielding sisterhood.

Over the years, Charlize Theron has proven to be a powerful talent, known for her versatility and the depth she brings to her roles. From intense dramas to action-packed blockbusters, the actress has repeatedly shown the world that she can embody many characters with finesse. However, her portrayal of Cipher in the Fast and Furious franchise raised a lot of questions about the handling of female villains in major film series, particularly how her aura and talent feel underutilized in a narrative dominated by male-centric themes.

One of Netflix’s most popular series, Outer Banks, returns for its fourth season. As they have done with many of their popular series, Netflix is splitting the fourth season into two parts. Keanu Reeves had a wipeout of a different kind over the weekend, as the actor spun out in his pro auto racing debut during the Toyota Gr Cup in Indianapolis. Reeves had no injuries and ended up finishing 25th.
Keanu Reeves has had a number of passions outside of acting, including music, motorcycles and surfing. Tyrese Gibson made his feature film debut with Baby Boy. The 2001 film received positive responses from critics and audiences. Fans loved the pairing of Gibson and Taraji P. Henson as Jody and Yvette. Although the duo never dated in real life, the Fast & Furious star raised many eyebrows on expressing his discomfort while watching Terrence Howard kissing Henson in Empire.

The California state Senate has passed a law that requires consent for the use of dead performers’ likenesses for AI-created digital replicas.
SAG-AFTRA has been among the organizations championing the legislation as a means of helping the estates of deceased performers maintain some control over AI-created fakes and replicas of famous figures. The union was quick to herald the passage of Ab 1836 in a statement after the Senate moved on the bill in an unusual Saturday session.
The passage of Ab 1836, which now awaits the signature of Gov. Gavin Newsom, comes four days after the state Senate passed Ab 2602, which toughens the consent requirements for the use of AI to replicate living performers.

The heist movie genre has seen many films set in different places. Ben Affleck’s The Town was set in the middle of a Red Sox game, Oceans Eleven heist was during a boxing match in a casino, and the latest from Lionsgate 1992 puts a heist in the middle of the Rodney King Verdict protests. The Tyrese Gibson-led film sees him play Mercer, a fresh out-of-jail employee who finds himself and his son in the middle of a heist.
1992 Review
I remember seeing this trailer at the end of last year and being intrigued by the premise. Heist movies are one of my favorite genres, and if done right, they can be instant classics. With 1992 set amid the uprising protests post-Rodney King verdict, the film’s tone is strong and has an unwavering message that is heartbreaking at its core.

[Warning: This story contains major spoilers from Alien: Romulus.]
For sci-fans of a certain age, it was the surprise of the summer.
That would be the reappearance of Ian Holm as a “synthetic” android in Alien: Romulus, a secret held back from the film’s marketing and even its San Diego Comic-Con panel. As Holm died in 2020 at 88, it was also a major undertaking that required permission from the late actor’s estate and a combination of animatronics, CGI and artificial intelligence to complete the illusion.
The result is the most ambitious effort yet at re-animating a deceased actor for a movie. The last significant attempt — and by most accounts the first — was in 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which featured the CGI-re-created face of Peter Cushing, who died in 1994, reprising his character Grand Moff Tarkin from the original 1977 Star Wars.
Response to that cameo was negative, with many feeling the technology had failed to...

Ocean scenery, adventure, tiger sharks, drug cartels, and bikinis – what more could anyone want in a storyline?
The 2005 film Into the Blue featured 24-year-old Jessica Alba on the brink of her next big break. She was already becoming a household name due to her work in the TV series Dark Angel.
Alba worked alongside Paul Walker, Scott Caan, and Josh Brolin – some other well-known names in the industry.

This article contains Alien: Romulus and The Flash spoilers.
The reviews are in, and some fans are already holding Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus up as the best xenomorph feature since Ridley Scott’s 1979 original and James Cameron’s Aliens from 1986. It feels like a new era of the Alienverse is ready to burst forward from Hollywood’s chest. But while there’s plenty of praise for Alvarez’s back-to-basics approach, which tries to capture the pulse-pounding horror of Scott’s Alien, it’s not quite a perfect outing.
As well as some criticizing the suitably batshit ending that echoes Alien Resurrection’s bewildering finale, it’s the return of Ian Holm’s likeness that’s causing a stir for Romulus—namely because the actor tragically passed away in 2020. Despite a CGI approximation of “Holm” appearing in the role of a new android called Rook instead of Alien‘s Ash,...

Summer is winding to a close, though the blistering sun has not yet received the memo. That means the final days of vacationing or summer road trips are in order. Of course, horror has taught us the myriad of ways that the open road can induce abject terror and stress; flat tires are the least of your summer worries in horror.
Films like The Hitcher, Near Dark, and Splinter highlight how car troubles, creepy rest stops, and seedy motels don’t compare to humanity’s worst- human or otherwise- prowling the highways.

There are classic films, then there are all-time classics that are damn near untouchable. Such is the case with Universal's "Creature from the Black Lagoon." First released in 1954, director Jack Arnold's heralded creature feature is among the most acclaimed of the Universal Monsters classics, right up there with "Bride of Frankenstein." While the film is close to untouchable, a modern horror master is going to take a crack at it anyway.
We recently learned that James Wan is developing a "Creature from the Black Lagoon" remake that he intends to direct. This would be his return to horror following the release of last year's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." More than that, one could argue it's the most bold creative risk Wan has taken in his wildly successful career. It's hard to picture anyone better suited to the job than Wan. In so many ways, he feels like...

Tyrese Gibson hasn’t seen the script for the next ‘Fast and Furious’ yet. After ‘Fast X’ ended on a major cliffhanger, fans have been clamouring to see the final installment in the series as soon as possible, but the 45-year-old actor has now admitted audiences may have to wait a little longer as he has not received the screenplay from director Louis Leterrier or the franchise’s lead star Vin Diesel. When the ‘Black and Blue’ actor was asked about the film’s status during an appearance on the ‘Happy, Sad, Confused’ podcast, he said: “I haven’t read a script yet. I’ve talked to the director, I’m constantly in touch with Vin Diesel and they do really well at keeping this franchise afloat and the moment that I get the call, I’m going to show up and try and do my job and hope that...

It’s clear that Fast & Furious is a huge hit, and it’s no surprise it’s already got 10 movies under its belt. As a result, many actors have been cast over time, but others have remained and have even become icons of the whole franchise.
Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious (Universal Pictures)
Vin Diesel is one of them. It’s impossible to think of these movies without picturing him. Because he had made a name for himself within the franchise, he was able to reach a higher level by becoming a producer later on. However, his mother wanted him to aim even higher, practically pushing him to do so.

In James Wan's "Furious 7," released in 2015, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) find themselves inside a supercar located many stories up in an Abu Dhabi skyscraper. They desperately need a chip that's embedded in the vehicle (don't ask), but things go south when the villains realize their plan. In order to escape, Dom does the only thing he knows how to do: he drives his way out of the situation, despite being indoors. After knocking over several of the baddies and evading many a gunshot, Dom realizes the only way the team can accomplish their mission is if he and Brian speed through the window and crash into a neighboring skyscraper.
The scene is, of course, absolutely ridiculous, but Wan and his team give it a sense of majesty and wonder, and the result is one of the best stunts in "Fast and Furious" franchise history.

As we know, Matt Bomer was a finalist to play the Man of Steel back in the 2000s in an early incarnation of the project that would ultimately become Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, and the actor believes he missed out on the role for one very specific reason.
We had heard that Bomer came very close to landing the part, but it sounds like he had all-but signed on to play the iconic DC Comics hero in "Superman: Flyby," which was going to be helmed by J.J. Abrams.
“I went in on a cattle call for Superman, and then it turned into a one-month audition experience where I was auditioning again and again and again,” the Doom Patrol star explained during an interview with THR. “It looked like I was the director’s choice for the role. This is a very early iteration of Superman written by J.J.
