Paula Deen's career trajectory forever changed when she uttered that she "of course" used the N-word during a deposition, but don't expect that "colorful" video to be released any time soon. In fact, the judge on the case ruled that the video will never be revealed to the public.
TMZ has the news about the video, which Deen filed to have blocked last week. Apparently Deen was afraid the ex-employee whose case was being looked into when the former Food Network star made her racist admission would leak the video to the media.
Of course, a transcript of Deen's deposition is floating around the Internet, so anyone can read what she said in lieu of watching it. She has reportedly lost $7.5 million of her annual income since the N-word admission, and many of her sponsors have since dropped her. Though Deen fired her longtime agent Barry Weiner, it doesn't...

Get ready for a free-for-all over one of the summer’s most highly sought after videos: Paula Deen‘s racially insensitive comments from a May deposition — part of a suit by a former Deen employee who charged that she saw multiple instances of racial and sexual discrimination. The leaked written transcript of the celebrity chef’s comments helped to upend her business empire including her affiliation with the Food Network. But the U.S. District Court for Southern Georgia this week returned the video to the plaintiff’s lawyers. It accepted the video on May 30 because “the written transcript of that deposition was not available at that time,” a July 10 note by court clerk Scott Poff says. Since the transcript was filed on June 11, “the Court’s access to the video is no longer necessary.” As a result, the court “is now removing the video from its possession and returning it to you.

Cleaning house in hopes of a fresh start, Paula Deen recently fired her legal team of the firm Oliver Maner.
About a week after ditching agent Barry Weiner, the former Food Network star parted ways with the firm who was defending her against the civil lawsuit regarding she and her brother's Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House.
Replacing the Georgia firm is Grace Speights, a Washington, D.C. lawyer from Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment section. Joining Ms. Speights will be Patricia Glaser and Havey Weitz, who is based in Savannah, Georgia.
The 66-year-old celebrity cook faces intense backlash after admitting to using a racial slur in a deposition related to the lawsuit.

The drama around Paula Deen continues. Nearly a week after parting ways with her longtime agent Barry Weiner, the southern cook has decided to cut ties with the legal team of the firm Oliver Maner. The team was defending her against the civil lawsuit filed by Lisa Jackson, a former manager of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House that Deen co-owns with her brother, Bubba Hiers. A source close to the Deen family says "she and her team decided the previous attorneys were out of their depth." Instead, Deen has hired Grace Speights, a Washington, D.C.-based partner in...

She has lost endorsement deals with countless retailers and her television shows on Food Network, and now Paula Deen has parted ways with her manager just as a New York man has been arrested for trying to extort the Southern cook.
On Thursday (July 4), the Georgia native, who has been the subject of ridicule after admitting to using a racial slur, announced she cut business ties with the agent who helped make her career, Barry Weiner.
A statement released by her spokeswoman read, "Paula Deen has separated from her agent ... She and her family thank him for the tireless effort and dedication over the many years.”
The blows kept on coming on Friday (July 5), when the FBI announced it had arrested former Georgia resident Thomas Paculis after he allegedly sent Ms. Deen an email last month demanding $250,000 in return for not releasing “true and damning” information that would “bring hardship...

It’s the latest fallout following public disclosure of the celebrity chef’s admission in a deposition that she used the N-word and the subsequent crumbling of her business and media empire. Paula Deen announced the split with Barry Weiner Thursday in an email through her spokeswoman Elana Weiss and obtained by The Associated Press. “Paula Deen has separated from her agent. She and her family thank him for the tireless effort and dedication over the many years.” Deen did not say why she parted with Weiner with whom she’d worked for more than 10 years. The email ended by saying “Paula wishes him well in all future endeavors”. Deen’s troubles began days after the public disclosure of a civil suit deposition in which she admitted under oath to having used the N-word. Shortly after, the Food Network decided not to renew her contract, she was dropped as a...

Considering what scandalous pitfalls some celebrities are able to come back from, it is somewhat surprising that Paula Deen has been crucified for her admission of using the N-word and having a racist history. What doesn't come with a surprise is the fact that Deen dropped her agent after she lost millions of dollars and a dozen endorsement deals in the racism fallout.
Agent Barry Weiner helped build Deen up to be the Food Network star she was at the high point of her career. They worked together for over a decade, and in the past Deen said he was a big part of landing her "Paula's Home Cooking" on the Food Network way back in 2002. Now that Food Network has severed ties with Deen, it seems she was ready to leave Weiner as well.
"Paula Deen has separated from her agent," Deen's spokeswoman, Elana Weiss, says in a statement to the Associated Press.

Richard Hatch will have to survive another go-round with the tax man if he wants to stay out of jail. The ex-Survivor champ turned up in federal court in Rhode Island today to face down accusations that he violated his probation in his tax-evasion case. So what did he allegedly do wrong? Barry Weiner, spokesman for the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services Office, District of Rhode Island, said that Hatch never filed amended returns for 2000 and 2001 and paid Uncle Sam its fair share of the $1 million prize money he won on the inaugural season of the CBS reality competition, as well as on thousands earned from various media-related activities the following year. The former corporate...

Stark, a longtime development executive at Paramount TV and Columbia TriStar TV, ran Kelsey Grammer's CBS Par-based Grammnet Prods. for seven years before going solo early this year with the launch of Steve Stark Prods.
