- Steve Wozniak is an electronics engineer who, with Steve Jobs, designed, built and introduced a user-friendly alternative to IBM's personal computer in 1976 after years of work-shopping original ideas with the Homebrew Computer Club. In 1977 he began working on a commercial model and that same year the Apple II made its debut. Three years later, Apple went public and grew into a multibillion-dollar company. Steve left the company in 1985 and went on to pursue interests in home video and rich media delivery systems.
