Prolific recording artist, on his own and with The Limeliters, on
Elektra, RCA Victor, Warner Brothers, Brass Dolphin, and Folk Era
records. His biggest solo hit was "Baby, the Rain Must Fall" on RCA, a
top-ten hit in 1965.
When not out sailing on his boat, Yarbrough makes his
home in Estes Park, Colorado. He continues to tour periodically and
make recordings for the Folk Era label, including the score of "Annie
Get Your Gun" opposite daughter Holly Yarbrough.
He studied philosophy at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland. He roomed with Jac Holzman, who launched Elektra Records in their dorm room in 1950. They released Yarbrough's LP "Here We Go, Baby" seven years later.
