If you live long enough you start asking yourself big, big questions, like… what is the meaning of life? Are we alone in the universe? And what would you do if you were a sniper guarding the gateway to Hell and you fell in love with another sniper who was really, super hot?
Scott Derrickson’s new Apple Original movie “The Gorge” answers only one of these questions, and unfortunately for philosophers everywhere, it’s the hot sniper question. But the rest of us will cheerfully make do. “The Gorge” is an unexpectedly romantic movie coming from the “Sinister” and “The Black Phone” director, but it’s also a gnarly monster flick with memorable beasties galore.
Miles Teller stars as Levi, a former Marine sniper who works freelance, and he’s super lonely. When a powerful figure played by Sigourney Weaver enlists Levi for a mysterious, year-long mission, he’s got nothing tying him down.

The Black Phone and Sinister director Scott Derrickson gets into the Valentine’s Day spirit with his latest, The Gorge, a romantic action thriller that also leans heavily into horror and sci-fi. Derrickson helms this genre mashup with lean efficiency, letting stars Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy do the heavy lifting as a pair of highly trained operatives turned lovers tasked with guarding the world against a strange threat. The leads’ inherent charm and screen presence and an inventive foray into thrilling action-horror territory sand some of The Gorge‘s rougher edges, making for a fun and romantic ride.
The Gorge introduces Levi (Teller) and Drasa (Taylor-Joy) as skilled snipers so efficient and isolated at their jobs that they’re enlisted in a top-secret mission that sees them whisked away to an undisclosed location deep in the middle of the wilderness, where they’re to guard opposite sides of a mysterious,...

I genuinely love movies about elite soldiers facing off against horrors beyond human comprehension. The sight of watching a warrior’s arrogance and bravery, which comes from their ability to wield the latest cutting-edge weapon, evaporates as they come to the realization that their primitive ways of warfare are of no use is oddly satisfying. I suppose Aliens is responsible for this obsession, immediately followed by the evergreen classic that is Predator. Dog Soldiers is really underrated and should get a lot more mainstream attention. I didn’t initially like Annihilation, but upon a rewatch, I admired what it was going for. I fell in love with Overlord almost instantly. I’m not sure if it counts, but I’ll give a shoutout to Underwater. Also, Love, Death & Robots’ shorts set in this subgenre, The Secret War, Sucker of Souls, Kill Team Kill, and In Vaulted Halls Entombed, are incredibly rewatchable.

How far would you go for a worthy love story? It's the most pressing question at the forefront of "The Gorge" for its two main leads, rival snipers played with effortless chemistry by Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller. Separated by thousands of meters of canyon depths, the vast gulf between them only exacerbates their need for connection. Yet, intentional or not, this also doubles as an inadvertent commentary on the state of the genre these days. It's no secret that 2024 was a fairly dire year when it comes to rom-coms. But no matter how many decisionmakers in charge want to pretend otherwise, audiences clearly remain starved for something that delivers romance.
As much as filmmakers might want to make straightforward romances, however, they've had far better luck sneaking them into larger genre plays. Think of "Twisters" using the backdrop of CGI tornadoes to do an enemies-to-lovers ship (even if it...

So there’s this gorge. Nobody knows where it is exactly, because the shadowy paramilitary organization that oversees it uses cloaking technology to keep the place hidden from satellites, Google Earth, and world leaders alike, but an educated guess might put it somewhere in the wilds of Norway or the forests of northern Russia. Then again, the rumpled duvet of impenetrable fog that stretches from one side of this thing to the other feels like it’s not of our world at all.
The Gorge is monitored by two snipers on annual rotations, each stationed on opposite sides of the ravine. This arrangement stretches back to at least the Cold War, with one soldier representing the West, the other representing the East, and both strictly forbidden from communicating with each other. Their mutual job is to make sure that whatever is in the gorge never manages to get out. “The...

Tgit is coming back, but there’s some bad news. It’s not happening just yet. Grey’s Anatomy season 21 is not coming back in February 2025.
We knew that this was going to be the case, though. ABC made it clear before Grey’s Anatomy, and the rest of Tgit, went on a winter hiatus that the show wouldn’t be back for some time. We would have to wait a few months for the return,, and now there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel.
When will Grey’s Anatomy return with new episodes?
The good news is the return is happening very soon. Grey’s Anatomy returns on Thursday, March 6.
There is some good news that comes from this break. The longer break now means we’re closer to May when the series does return. This means fewer breaks in the schedule, so better consistency in the storytelling. We...

Sure, you're familiar with "Grey's Anatomy," the longest-running medical drama in TV history that premiered on ABC in 2005 as a humble mid-season replacement. Shonda Rhimes' soapy, steamy, and delightfully over-the-top hospital drama, led by Ellen Pompeo as the eponymous Dr. Meredith Grey, follows five surgical interns as they begin working at a major hospital in Seattle; after those interns become residents and attendings, the show keeps introducing new incoming intern classes as they're thrown headfirst into one of the most daunting and intense professions around. So, uh, what the heck is "Grey's Anatomy: B-Team?"
In January of 2018, a webseries called "Grey's Anatomy: B-Team" hit ABC.com, giving audiences a closer look at the 14th season's intern class. Introduced after the first few episodes of said season, Dr. Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli), Dr. Sam Bello (Jeanine Mason), Dr. Casey Parker (Alex Blue Davis), Dr. Vikram Roy (Rushi Kota), Dr. Taryn Helm (Jaicy Elliott), and Dr.

HBO has set Sunday, March 9 for the premiere of the nine-episode, fourth and final season of The Righteous Gemstones.
Created, written and executive produced by Danny McBride, who also stars, The Righteous Gemstones tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work. Despite constant bickering, Gemstone family ties run deep, and this season, the family’s codependence is tested as they attempt to move forward without letting go of their storied past.
As we previously reported, McBride, in an interview with GQ, said the move to end the series felt “natural,” given that his idea for Season 4 “was a story that was bringing all these themes and these ideas and these characters to a conclusion, to something that felt like completion.”

Praise the heavens, we have a premiere date for the fourth and final season of “The Righteous Gemstones.” The Danny McBride comedy will premiere on HBO and Max on March 9 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt.
This first look at the upcoming season starts with Uncle Baby Billy’s (Walton Goggins) latest desperate grasp at relevance: “Teenjus,” a young adult show about teenage Jesus.
“That’s not how you combine words,” Jesse (McBride) says during Baby Billy’s pitch meeting. “I’ve got it: Use the J from Jesus, shorten teen. You call him Jeen.”
“Ain’t nobody gonna call Jesus Jeen!” Baby Billy fires back.
And with that, “The Righteous Gemstones” is off on its last, deeply irreverent season. The teaser also offers several glimpses into the lives of the rest of the Gemstones. Kelvin (Adam DeVine) and his best friend Keefe (Tony Cavalero) debut their own rainbow-colored Bible, Bj...

It was a complete nightmare for Attack on Titan fans after the anime adaptation took a sad turn past Season 3 Part 2! The animation quality, which once reached its pinnacle during the prime Wit times, started declining visibly after the unexpected studio shift.
Fans noticed a lot of sudden changes in the art style, and these changes not only disrupted the visual flow of the series but also compromised the overall viewing experience.

Even to this day, people have been very vocal about their dissatisfaction, expressing their disappointment and frustration on social media. The superhero movies of the MCU, the Dcu, and beyond sometimes fail at the box office despite no one seeing it coming. The superhero movies of the Dceu, the MCU, and other franchises might have built the genre to unprecedented heights in terms of pop culture relevance and general financial success, but not all films in the genre follow the same path. With budgets and competition running high, superhero movies can sometimes prove to be risky endeavors for studios.
Not all superhero movies are financially successful, and while some superhero box office flops surprise no one, others have been significantly less expected. In some cases, early expectations for a movie are incredibly high, only for the reality to fall wildly short of the mark, leading to catastrophic box office results that make a film a financial disaster. With that in mind, here are 10 superhero box office flops that nobody saw coming.

James Gunn has said that there will be select parts of the Dceu that will be canon in his Dcu. The director took over at the tail end of the Dceu, hoping to soft reboot the universe. However, he said that John Cena, Viola Davis and a few other characters will continue to play their roles as they are, while also referencing some events from the Dceu in the new Dcu.

James Gunn was in charge of the Dcu when Shazam: Fury of the Gods came out, which saw the character share a space with Emilia Harcourt, and John Economos, one of whom has already been confirmed to be canon in the MCU. Given that both these characters were in Peacemaker Season 1, which will be canon in the Dcu, it is a possibility that Zachary Levi might have a space in the rebooted franchise.

The dark dystopian fantasy of Attack on Titan doesn’t hold back in giving us the best characters possible. It’s hard to decide which character is the best when all of them are compelling in unique ways.

While Solo Leveling Season 2 premiered to widespread acclaim, A-1 Pictures made subtle changes to the narrative that couldn’t escape attentive manhwa fans, sparking debate online.

Zachary Levi was among the actors who suffered a heavy loss when WB decided to shut down and reboot the Dceu. He had essayed the role of Shazam. While his evil counterpart, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, made his way into the Dceu as well, the two barely got to face off before the franchise was completely trashed.

Levi has now come out with some criticism of the Dcu, especially when it comes to casting. James Gunn is known to cast his friends and family members in projects that he ends up being the head of, and given that he is now heading the entire Dcu and beyond, Levi believes that some of the casting might have been because of Gunn having an in with DC Studios.

Lucasfilm has struggled to make fans consistently happy since being acquired by Disney but, over the next few years, the hope is that the studio can course correct with Dave Filoni serving as chief creative officer of all things Star Wars.
We've lost track of the officially announced or rumoured film and TV projects which have failed to ever materialise. However, things seem to be going well with whatever Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy is cooking up for this Galaxy Far, Far Away.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH (via SFFGazette.com), "Shawn Levy's Star Wars movie is moving fast and they even offered the lead role to a well-known A-list actor."
Could we see Levy reunite wth Ryan Reynolds or Hugh Jackman?
There have, of course, been rumblings about Daisy Ridley appearing as Rey Skywalker; if that does happen, then it will likely be in a supporting role rather than as the movie's lead.

Warning! Spoilers about Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 8 ahead.
Among the many developments of Grey's Anatomy season 21, a few will indubitably affect its second half in 2025, with some likely to cause quite a stir in the greater order of things at Grey Sloan Memorial. When it premiered, Grey’s Anatomy season 21 focused greatly on how Meredith’s choices affected multiple other doctors, some of whom wouldn’t work at Grey Sloan due to Meredith publishing her Alzheimer’s research. However, Catherine’s health crisis momentarily made that less important, especially given how the Fox Foundation employed all the previously fired surgeons back.
The events in Grey’s Anatomy season 21’s first half shifted the priorities of multiple doctors. With the illness of Mika’s sister Chloe turning into something lethal after their car accident and Levi’s happy but destabilizing news, Grey’s Anatomy season 21 focused on two major characters’ exit. Jason Momoa has been cast in a new DC Universe role, and that increases the chances that other Dceu stars could come back to the franchise in exciting new roles. Momoa led DC's highest-grossing film of all time, 2018's Aquaman. Due to that, it was always expected that the actor would play one of the Dcu's canon characters. As such, his return was not a surprise, but the fact that he ditched Aquaman to play Lobo was the interesting part of the announcement.
Dceu stars had already returned in James Gunn's DC Universe. However, John Cena as Peacemaker, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and most of the other returning stars reprised their characters. Momoa's high-profile recast as Lobo sparks more possibilities for upcoming DC movies, as Gunn's Dcu could bring back some major Dceu stars in new roles, and the director has even talked to a few actors about such an idea.

The contract killer named Mad Dog’s been flattened by a car, so what’s a serial killer in training to do? Some clean-up, and Fast. In Friday’s Dexter: Original Sin, both Dex and Harry make huge mistakes that nearly cost them. But were any lessons learned? Let’s break it all down.
Dexter calculates that he has about 15 minutes to clean things up before Miami Metro arrives on the scene. He uses a blacklight to check for blood and rolls up his plastic sheets, but the police are faster than usual to respond. Fortunately, Dex makes his...

We know not all shows will make it through a year, but that doesn’t mean we have to be happy about cancellations. NBC opted to cancel four shows in 2024, and another one is on the move to a streaming platform. Let’s take a look back at what we won’t watch in 2025.
The 2023–2024 TV season was certainly an odd one. With the writers strike and then the actors strike throughout the summer and fall of 2023, it made it much harder to get our favorite shows back. Most of them were held for the midseason, but others were able to get fall slots.
You would think that the fall slots would allow for a success. Sadly, that wasn’t the case for one series in particular. Meanwhile, another was canceled even before the strike action started, but didn’t officially end until 2024.

There are few medical dramas that show off the real reason doctors are needed. Brilliant Minds did that bringing us a story of a doctor who sees more than patients.
Dr. Oliver Wolf, played by Zachary Quinto, is based on the real Dr. Oliver Sacks. The series is based on Dr. Sacks’s work, a man who treated the people and not the symptoms. Some of this was simply due to his own condition of face blindness, which is something our lead character has.
I talked with Michael Grassi about the creation of this series, including finding the rare and wild medical conditions and why this series is so important right now.
Why Brilliant Minds was the show to create
Hidden Remote: Brilliant Minds quickly became my favorite new show of the year because it’s so needed right now. Why did you decide that this was the series you had to create?...

An insider at The Hollywood Reporter, who I am suuuuure can be trusted 100%, recently informed the world that actor Zachary Levi was disappointed and “bitter” that he didn’t rise to Chris Evans or The Rock level of stardom after Shazam. Nobody can be sure if these were his true feelings, but to many, the science has been settled, and this is how he feels. So the dude became a Robert F Kennedy Jr. fan, which resulted in a Trump endorsement and running away from… or rather, escaping, LA. He now spends his time on a ranch in Texas, where, apparently, he is going to focus on making faith-based films. So, did they cancel Zachary Levi, or did they set him free?
As an actor, his silliness is always believable, especially when he pretty much plays himself, a lovable man-child who can do action scenes, like in the hilarious show Chuck.

James Gunn is known for being a creature of habit. He has worked with the same actors more than a handful of times throughout his career, regardless of what project he is working on. Be it Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Nathan Fillion, or Mikaela Hoover, he seems to stay at his comfort level when it comes to casting his projects.

However, there is one actor who gets the brunt of criticism for Gunn’s creative choice. His brother, Sean Gunn, has worked on almost every single one of Gunn’s films, resulting in many calling him a product of nepotism.
In fact, his DC co-star, Zachary Levi, even made a dig at him during an interview. Thankfully, Sean Gunn had the perfect explanation.

The world of Attack on Titan is bracing for a big year, and there’s plenty for us to look forward to. One major highlight is Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, the movie that concludes the anime series in cinematic format. But that’s not all—there’s something fresh brewing outside the official storyline.
Attack on Titan: Requiem is a fan-made anime project offering an alternate ending to the series. A trailer for this ambitious take has already dropped, and it’s clear that things will play out differently compared to the finale created by Studio Mappa. The fan studio, Studio Eclypse, plans to release Requiem on January 15th, complete with an English dub and new voice actors.
What changes can we expect in this version? That’s still under wraps, but the project aims to shake up the epic showdown between Eren and the Scouts. Here is the trailer:

Hajime Isayama is the mastermind and the creator of the global fame anime series Attack on Titan. The anime has many unique characters, plots and settings; of all of them, the character of Levi stands out.
Levi Ackerman | Credit: Wit Studio
Levi Ackerman’s creation in Attack on Titan was both deliberate and spontaneous, reflecting Hajime Isayama’s unique approach to character design.
Levi initially emerged from an idle doodle on a random piece of paper, yet something about the sketch immediately stood out. Inspired by the gritty and complex character of Rorschach from Watchmen, Isayama wanted a character who was staunch yet reliable and refined Levi’s personality and appearance to embody a similar brooding intensity.

The nightmare of a track record of anime live actions doesn’t stop fans from picturing their favorite anime series in the live-action format. Attack on Titan fans, being no exception to this rule, often find themselves thinking about a potential ‘good’ live-action adaptation of the series. After the Titans, Levi Ackerman is one of the most challenging aspects that could make or break the series.

As Grey's Anatomy takes a break until 2025, there's a chance we'll be bidding goodbye to some characters!
Grey's Anatomy fans know the one constant of the show is change. Characters come and go a lot, with Meredith herself still popping in despite Ellen Pompeo talking of leaving the show. Some exits can be sudden and shocking, while others get a bigger push.
Already this season has seen the departures of Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) and Mika Yasuda (Midori Francis). As the show takes a break before returning in the spring, there's a question of who else might depart and these eight characters all have a sad chance of no longer being on Grey's next season

A great testament to any fictional work’s popularity is how the audience interacts with it. Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan is highly regarded for its planning and the connection between the beginning and the end. Even though there are some aspects where Isayama fumbled, there’s no question about the popularity of the series. The fan interactions range from original art to alternate endings crafted by fans.

Did Dwayne Johnson reject a cameo in Shazam 2? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Dwayne Johnson played Black Adam for the better part of a decade and was offered a chance to appear in the Shazam 2 sequel, and he said, “Nah.” The news came from The Wrap, revealing that Johnson was straight-up shutting down the idea of sharing the screen with Zachary Levi’s Shazam. So, what’s up?
Turns out, The Rock had a legit vision for Black Adam—and it didn’t involve mixing it up with Shazam’s more light-hearted antics. Johnson’s focus was laser-sharp on making Black Adam the ultimate DC Universe heavyweight, and crossing over with Shazam was just not part of the plan. And it wasn’t just about Shazam 2. Hajime Isayama created a one-of-a-kind series with Attack on Titan. And with the manga came its unique protagonist, Eren, voiced by Yuki Kaji in the anime. But if anything can divide Attack on Titan fans, it’s their view on Eren.

The ending of Attack on Titan left the fandom fairly divided, debating on whether it was underwhelming and rushed or perfect. Hajime Isayama wrote an intricate world that dealt with many complicated themes so it is a huge achievement that he could tie it all up into a coherent series.
Of course, Isayama doesn’t work alone on the Attack on Titan manga. There’s a big reason why his convoluted lore makes sense in the end and that’s his editor. Shintaro Kawakubo isn’t afraid to correct the mangaka’s work and have him rework parts that don’t make sense, which is very much an editor’s job.

For every controversial event that leaves a mark on our society, ample circumstantial evidence or a case of reasonable doubt has given birth to conspiracy theories. According to Zachary Levi, the primary conspiracy theory surrounding the disgraced public figure Jeffrey Epstein has been centered around his death or… the lack of evidence thereof.

Although conspiracy theorists often like to defy all logic to root their ideas in pseudo-facts, the “Jeffrey Epstein is alive” theory does not sound as far-fetched as “the Earth is flat.” Even though on a scale of benign to malevolent, Epstein’s existence would certainly lean toward the more evil side of things, there is no stopping people from cooking up conspiracy theories to feed their curiosity.

Whether Marleyan, Eldian, or otherwise, the soldiers in Attack on Titan are some of the strongest and most resilient individuals in any anime series, facing monumental threats on a daily basis and risking their own lives to guard both their comrades and innocent humans from danger. Each of these heroes has their own distinctive fighting style and moral code, but they are all united under a common goal: protecting the world from man-eating Titans.
Some soldiers, like Armin, rely on carefully concocted plans of attack and manipulation, while others, like Levi Ackerman, focus more heavily on brute force and stunning swordsmanship. Without each of these Attack on Titan soldiers, there is no telling how long the Titans would have terrorized the world, and for that, these characters deserve recognition.

The plot progression goes from threatening at the beginning to apocalyptic near the end, and the anime does a brilliant job of conveying that shift.

Attack on Titan anime is a great adaptation of its manga counterpart and enlivens it with spectacular animation and the best soundtracks. However, there’s one aspect that could have been better in the anime, which Hajime Isayama absolutely nailed in the manga. What’s more shocking is that many fans don’t notice this aspect, so here’s what it is!

One Piece is riddled with many mysteries and mind-blowing revelations. There are many memorable twists throughout the series, but they would sadly pale in comparison to Attack on Titan. Not to discredit the intrigue of One Piece, but Hajime Isayama has perfected the art of casually surprising fans, leaving them in a limbo as to what to believe.

At every turn, the narrative of Attack on Titan meets fans with a new revelation that changes their perception of the Aot world. What makes the plot twists in the series so much better than other shonen series is how they impact the story. Their whole purpose isn’t short-lived shock value, but they play a role in the grand scheme of things.

While we explored Eren’s life in great detail and it was undeniably tragic, Levi Ackerman also led a difficult life, but his conclusion was truly satisfying. Levi was a fan-favorite character and an exceptional fighter. He could single-handedly take on numerous Titans, even the special ones like the Beast Titan. However, one aspect of his character doesn’t get as much attention as his coolness or his overall appeal: the glorious character arc.
