During Andor's stellar and critically acclaimed run, it featured a number of award-level performances from the main characters to even the supporting cast. One performance in particular was a breakout, making this character become an instant fan-favorite.
Elizabeth Dulau's Kleya Marki, the assistant to Stellan Skarsgård's Luthen Rael, was a powerhouse performance the moment she stepped onto the Star Wars stage. From her little quips to her superspy infiltration of a hospital under Imperial lockdown, Dulau crafted a role of a lifetime that any veteran actor would wish they had.
Which is why I was shocked to find out that Andor was Elizabeth Dulau's first acting role.

Andor Season 2 has received nearly unanimous acclaim and appreciation from fans and critics. Social media is full of praise for the show's final arc, which most fans found to be a perfect emotional sendoff to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
There's no doubt that Andor Season 2 has many memorable moments, and certain performances have stood out. However, even though this is an unpopular take, I don't think this show is perfect. Season 2 suffered from the time jumps and other issues evident in the show's final arc.
Here are 6 things to like and dislike about Andor's final arc.
1. Liked - Luthen, Kleya, and Lonnie Jung

Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy has revealed that he did consider including a cameo from one of the original Star Wars trilogy's leads, Princess Leia Organa, in the second season, but the idea was ultimately scrapped.
"There were some conversations early on, there was much to be made. This is in the sketching stage," Gilroy told ScreenRant. "This is in the really soggy beginning, trying to figure out what to do because trying to figure out, I was trying to make that Investiture Week I idea. I was trying to get the most out of that investiture week and those parties, and we have Alden's party now… and we're making a thing out of it. And we were trying to find out on the timeline where she would be in the Senate."
While an appearance from either Luke Skywalker or Han Solo wouldn't have made much sense, Leia was already...

Production designer Luke Hull and set decorator Rebecca Alleway brought the vast scope of Andor’s second season to life with 180 sets, half of which were built from scratch.
The production used a number of real locations in the U.K., Spain, and Italy: Valencia’s futuristic City of Arts and Sciences building was transformed into the Senate complex, while England’s Greenham Common became the Rebel hideout used by Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker). Shots of Lake Como, Italy, were used to augment the planet of Ghorman and farmers’ huts...

This article contains spoilers for "Andor."
The ending of "Andor" season 2 isn't the show's most bombastic arc, but it does provide some answers to questions we've had from the start. Despite the name of the show, Kleya Marki (Elizabeth Dulau) becomes the real protagonist of the final three episodes, which center around the arrest and death of Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) and Kleya's subsequent escape from Coruscant with the help of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Ruescott Melshi (Duncan Pow), and K-2So (Alan Tudyk).
When Isb supervisor Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) finally tracks Luthen down to his antique shop, he attempts to kill himself to avoid revealing what he knows about the Rebellion. Despite his efforts, Dedra's forces are able to keep him from the brink of death by bringing him to a hospital, where he's put on life support. Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Andor season 2.
Andor Season 2 is a remarkable and moving work of art. It is one of the best all-time seasons of any show, and not just in Star Wars. The structure of every three episodes taking place in a different year, leading up to the events of Rogue One, could have felt disjointed. However, the season ends up feeling mostly seamless in its transitions and becomes a deeply satisfying continuation and conclusion to the story that began in Season 1.
While Season 2's structure overall works incredibly well, there are a few times where I could not help but think of the original five-season plan that Tony Gilroy had in mind. There are some storylines between or during each three-episode arc that I would have loved to see further explored. Given the nature of the Star Wars franchise, there is always a chance of these...

The last three episodes of Andor season 2 provide an emotional closure for its characters – and a satisfying lead into 2016’s Rogue One.
Nb: The following contains spoilers for Andor seasons 1 and 2.
“The last act makes a film,” ran a terrific line in the 2002 film, Adaptation. “Wow them in the end, and you’ve got a hit.”
Andor season 2 may be a TV show rather than a film, but the sentiment applies: its final three episodes provide a powerful, emotionally satisfying send-off for creator Tony Gilroy’s Star Wars spin-off, its threads connecting forward to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
While watching Andor’s final batch of episodes, I couldn’t help thinking about how organic and heartfelt the show has been, especially given the path it could have taken. This is, after all, a prequel to a prequel – a story that takes place before the events of Rogue One,...

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for 'Andor' Season 2Finally, after three years of absence, Andor fans got the answer they had been waiting for about one of the most mysterious characters. Luthen’s (Stellan Skarsgård) antique shop assistant, Kleya Marki (Elizabeth Dulau), had her backstory revealed, and it isn’t for the faint of heart. Dulau and Andor's creator spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the importance of the tenth episode of Season 2.
“Make It Stop” follows Luthen’s ultimate demise as Imperial forces close in, interspersed with flashbacks about how he and Kleya first met. These flashbacks were surprising because, as it turns out, Luthen was only somewhat responsible for radicalizing Kleya. When he first meets her as a stowaway, it quickly becomes clear that she has already been forged. She was willing and ready to do anything for the cause at such a young age. Series...

Andor, a show many Star Wars fans consider to be the best thing to ever come out of the galaxy far far away, ended last night on Disney+. Cassian Andor himself (Diego Luna) ended the series by starting the journey we find him on in the movie Rogue One, which ends (last chance to avoid spoilers) with Cassian successfully stealing the plans for the Death Star but dying in the process. Andor itself was largely about the necessity of sacrifice in the name of rebellion, so it's a fitting end for him.
But the show introduced a new wrinkle. At the very end, we see Cassian Andor's love interest Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona) walking through a picturesque field holding a baby. Although Cassian will never know it, the child is his. Bix left Cassian in the previous suite of episodes, afraid that if she stayed he wouldn't be able to...

The ending of Andor seemed pretty much preordained: No matter what, Cassian had to end up alone and en route to the events of Rogue One. So it was hard to imagine that the show had any surprises in store for its series finale — except that it absolutely did. In our latest interview with showrunner Tony Gilroy, he explains the twist ending and addresses other burning questions from the Star Wars drama’s masterful second season.

Spoiler Alert: This story includes spoilers for the “Star Wars” series “Andor” and feature film “Rogue One,” both currently streaming on Disney+.
From its inception, “Andor” was designed by creator Tony Gilroy to chronicle what leads rebel spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) up to the events of the 2016 “Star Wars” feature film “Rogue One,” which Gilroy co-wrote. In that film, Cassian learns about a high-ranking Imperial officer, Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), leaking a message to his daughter, Jyn (Felicity Jones), about the existence of a top secret super-weapon, aka the Death Star. Knowing he had to connect the numerous storytelling plot strands from “Andor” into the movie’s complicated plot made Gilroy anxious for years. It turns out, he needn’t have worried. “That shit laid down really clean,” he tells Variety with a grin. “It presented itself without the incredible amount of effort that was anticipated.”

‘Andor’ Star Elizabeth Dulau Talks Kleya’s Necessary Choice and Being a Key Domino in Star Wars Lore

[This story contains spoilers for Andor season two.]
When Andor creator Tony Gilroy cast Elizabeth Dulau in early 2021, he knew he was getting a talented actor who had just graduated London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada). But he soon realized that he actually hired a budding star who was worthy of significantly more screen time in season two. “By the time we finished season one, everyone on our whole show was just in awe [of Elizabeth]. We don’t have a moment of bad film on her,” Gilroy recently told The Hollywood Reporter.
In season one, Dulau’s character, Kleya Marki, was considered to be the “sorcerer’s apprentice” to Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael, who was a part-time antiquities dealer and a full-time shadowy leader of the emerging Rebellion. However, season two has now revealed their relationship’s profoundly tragic origin story. Luthen was once an Imperial Sergeant, and during a genocidal raid on adolescent Kleya’s homeplanet,...

On Tuesday, Disney+ dropped the last three episodes of “Andor,” wrapping up the series and directly setting up “Rogue One.” It’s not typical that a television show needs to pass its baton to a film made almost a decade earlier, and “Andor” creator Tony Gilroy did not want to approach the show’s final episode in a typical way, either.
While on this week’s episode of the Filmmaker Toolkit podcast, Gilroy talked about fighting against the need to incorporate one final big decision or turning point in wrapping up the series heading into “Rogue One.”
“Episode 12 is really its own thing where we didn’t put a lot of pressure to jack anything up,” said Gilroy on the podcast. “This is kind of a ‘deliver the pizza’ episode, and the pizza is emotional, and everybody settled into it, and we took the pressure off ourselves.”

I have friends everywhere. That's code for, "Spoilers ahead! Read no further unless you've watched episodes 10-12 of 'Andor' season 2."
In the world of "Andor," there are no famous heroes --- only those who are hidden in secret, those who've been exiled, or, well, those who end up dead. Throughout the second season of this acclaimed "Star Wars" series, we've seen pretty much everybody fit into one of those three categories. Diego Luna's Cassian Andor is obviously our main hero, but the very nature of this prequel story means he ends "Rogue One" as just one of countless unknown figures who helped deliver the Death Star plans to the Rebellion. Genevieve O'Reilly's senator Mon Mothma was once operating in secret, but has since chosen exile after her stirring speech painted her as public enemy No. 1 in the eyes of the Empire. This article contains spoilers for "Andor" season 2.
This season of "Andor" has been momentous, dovetailing directly to the events of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Even while tying up so many loose ends, it somehow manages to beautifully add nuance to the story and imbue it with even more meaning. These last few episodes contain surprises and shocks enough to keep us on the edges of our seats. One of the biggest storylines that got tied up was Dedra Meero's obsession with uncovering the identity of Axis. Like a ship in hyperspace bouncing too close to a supernova, her trip ended spectacularly, with the Isb agent meeting Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) in his antiquities shop to apprehend him as Axis. Instead of being caught to be interrogated, Luthen tried to end his life with an antique dagger and ruin all of Dedra's plans.

Major spoilers ahead for "Andor" season 2, up to the series finale.
"Andor" is not only the best "Star Wars" experiment in decades, it's arguably the timeliest and most poignant TV show currently airing. This is a harrowing portrayal of the evils of fascism and how genocide can happen right under everyone's noses. It is also a phenomenal story about the cost of revolution and the sacrifices made in the fight against tyranny.
Showrunner Tony Gilroy builds on the world introduced in "Star Wars: Rogue One," which showed us the dirty side of rebellion: the assassinations, the spying, and the mistrust. It is a show about the extraordinary effort required to start the spark that will eventually light the fire that will burn the Empire down. We've seen the idealism of Karis Nemik (Alex Lawther), who genuinely believed in the purity of the struggle and tried to inspire others with his manifesto.

Major spoilers ahead for the "Andor" season 2 finale.
"Andor" is a miracle of television -- an immaculately written, acted, designed, and shot series that is unlike anything we've ever seen before in the "Star Wars" universe, yet works precisely because it takes place in the nearly 50-year-old franchise. Showrunner Tony Gilroy and his team have done something special in pulling back the curtain on the fight against the Empire and showing the human cost of freedom, the individuals who made their minds a sunless space and burnt their lives to make a sunrise they knew they'd never see.
Throughout "Andor" season 2, we saw the birth of the Rebel Alliance as we know it from "Rogue One": a brittle union made out of groups with vastly different approaches and ideologies constantly clashing with one another. Every episode of "Andor" added nuance not only to "Rogue One," but to the entire "Star Wars" franchise at large,...

Warning: The following piece contains spoilers about Andor Season 2.
It feels paradoxical that Andor is over. On the one hand, creator Tony Gilroy and his team have been working on the series since at least 2020, with various delays in production and release caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the 2023 Hollywood strikes, so now all that work has finally paid off. On the other hand, how can the most acclaimed Star Wars show be over after only two seasons, when other big-scale genre shows last for years and years?
But because the end of Andor ties so directly into Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which runs right into the original Star Wars, the show is now part of a chain of epic storytelling beyond any release.
One result of that connectivity is that Andor viewers have known how titular hero Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) will die since before the show began.

This post contains spoilers for the final three episodes of Andor, now streaming on Disney+.
In the concluding episode of this season, and thus of Andor as a series, Vel and Kleya discuss some of the terrible things they’ve had to do to keep the rebellion alive, including Kleya’s decision to kill Luthen in order to prevent the Isb from torturing for information about the Rebel Alliance.

This post contains spoilers for all of "Andor" season 2.
I wonder sometimes how we would view the first decade of Disney's ownership of Star Wars as a whole if it weren't for "Andor." The sequel trilogy, which started strong, ended with the most universally disliked film in franchise history. A new streaming era on Disney+ kicked off with a fantastic spin-off in "The Mandalorian," then slowly devolved with less stellar entries like "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and "The Book of Boba Fett." I like "The Bad Batch" and "Tales of the Jedi" as much as the next guy, but the flagship Star Wars stories just started to seem like bad bets. And then "Andor" arrived in 2022, and as far as I'm concerned, none of that other stuff really matters.
It may seem like I'm being hyperbolic, but bear with me. "Andor" is over now, with the final three episodes of season 2 hitting Disney+ this week,...

Note: This article contains spoilers from “Andor” Season 2, Episodes 10-12.
Ever since he was introduced in “Andor” Season 1 as one of the rebellion’s key founders, “Star Wars” fans have wondered what the ultimate fate of Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) would be. There was no way, surely, that he could have lived through the events of the Original Trilogy, in which the Rebel Alliance mounts its war against the Galactic Empire, without ever being mentioned or shown.
To “Star Wars” fans, that seeming impossibility meant all along that it was unlikely Luthen would make it to the end of “Andor” alive. Those fans are proven correct in “Andor” Season 2, Episode 10, which says the goodbye to Luthen that both he and viewers long ago accepted was inevitable. The good news? Even when he finds himself completely cornered, Luthen still manages to go out on his own terms in “Andor.”

The final season of Andor has been a jaw-dropping, galactic exploration of resistance against the ever-expanding forces of authoritarianism, particularly the erosion of civil rights, the undermining of peaceful transfers of power, propaganda, attacks on the free press, and colonialism.
The performances by Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, and Genevieve O’Reilly have been nothing short of Emmy-worthy. The final episode is enthralling, ratcheting up an incredible amount of tension. It’s a fitting conclusion to a prequel of one of the greatest films in Star Wars history.

The second and final season of Andor keeps getting better and better. Season 2, Episode 9 is the finest chapter the series has delivered, packed with powerful messaging and subtext. This post contains spoilers for "Andor."
The latest season of "Andor" has been steadily gaining momentum, with its first six episodes already laying a sturdy foundation for the inevitable. It is certainly not easy to sustain tension when the end of an arc is a foregone conclusion, which is very much the case with Cassian (Diego Luna), who dies a martyr in "Rogue One." Although Cassian's fate is written in stone, we still care deeply about his evolving ethics in "Andor" and how he will arrive at his preordained future. Moreover, "Andor" has never shied away from the visceral discomfort of being part of the rebel cause, which comes with its own set of moral conundrums that demand constant and unflinching sacrifice. As a result, the Rebellion means something different for everyone, even if the end goal is to topple the Empire for good.

Things are finally coming full circle in the galaxy far, far away as Tony Gilroy’s Andor is careening into the events of Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The 2016 epic is held as one of the best things Star Wars has ever done, and while the ending of Andor has been somewhat spoiled as Gilroy told Empire Magazine that Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and K-2So (Alan Tudyk) will head out to the Rings of Kafrene to kickstart the events of Rogue One, there are still plenty of twists to come. As well as clearing up what happens to characters like Denise Gough’s Dedra Meero and Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael, who are mysteriously Mia past this point in the timeline (Rip to Kyle Soller’s Syril Karn), Andor is expected to further tie into the origins of the Rebel Alliance.

The monster screaming the loudest? The monster we've helped create, who will come for us all soon enough, is the heavy spoilers ahead for "Andor" season 2, episode 9.
"Star Wars" has a real Glup Shitto problem. The more the galaxy expands thanks to numerous new animated and live-action shows, video games, comics, books, and much more, so grows the temptation to try and connect it all via nods, Easter eggs, and cameos.
Take the way Dave Filoni continuously desecrates the medium of animation by bringing every single character he ever touched to the live-action MandoVerse (and even devoting an entire show to a cartoon character whose very existence makes increasingly less sense) via gratuitous cameos that more often than not distract from the main story. Sure, it's fun to see different parts of the franchise interact and tie into a larger narrative, but when it's at the expense of the quality of the current narrative,...

After obsessively hunting Diego Luna's Cassian Andor since the very first episode of Andor, Syril Karn finally got his hands on the Rebel pilot in season 2, episode 8 - but a moment's hesitation ended up costing him everything.
Towards the end of "Who Are You?," Syril learns the truth about the Empire's evil plans for Ghorman, and stumbles through the protestors in a daze before catching sight of Andor just as he's about to assassinate Dedra Meero.
Karn brutally attacks the man he views as his sworn enemy, ultimately managing to gain the upper hand when they are both knocked down by a nearby grenade blast. Syril is about to shoot his nemesis, but Andor's question - "who are you?" - causes him to hesitate, and he is shot dead by revolutionary leader Carro Rylanze.

Andor season 2 episode 9, by far, is the finest chapter the series has ever done. Featuring a sterling performance from Genevieve O’Reilly. The episode offers a close, galactic look at standing up to the ever-expanding forces of authoritarianism, particularly the erosion of civil rights, the undermining of peaceful transfers of power, propaganda, attacks on the free press, and colonialism.
You’ll be particularly impressed with the writing of this Andor episode, which is Emmy-worthy. Take in the sharp critique of the crackdown on dissent, the erosion of checks and balances, and the centralization of power, all of which ultimately led to the genocide in Ghorrman. The speech from O’Reilly’s Mon Mothma in the Galactic Senate is jaw-droppingly effective.

In Andor season 2, episode 6, things get tense when Mon Mothma runs into Orson Krennic at a fancy party hosted by Davo Sculdun. The party seems normal at first, but the mood quickly shifts when Mon sees Krennic, a high-ranking leader in the Empire.
“She knows what she’s in for,” says O’Reilly about the party. “But to come in and see Krennic in there, that’s a real surprise for her. Davo Sculdun has invited Empire right into the home, the height of the Empire into his home.”
Mon and Krennic begin a quiet but sharp argument in front of the other guests. They don’t speak openly about the Empire’s crimes, but they trade subtle jabs. Krennic says, “Insurgencies have a long history of puffing up failures,” while Mon fires back, “You seem fixated on defining people by how much they resist power.”

"We must stand together, or we will be crushed." Disney has revealed another featurette video for Andor - Season 2, the return of this acclaimed "revolutionary" Star Wars series about Cassian Andor becoming a fighter (a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). The series is already airing but will continue dropping episodes into June this summer - they're still trying to get more people hooked and watching. As the horizon of war draws near, Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound (view a full trailer here). Andor - Season 2 stars Diego Luna back as Cassian, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O'Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona (who you also know from Hit Man!), Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, plus Alan Tudyk back as K-2So, with Ben Mendelsohn & Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera.

Star Wars: Andor episodes 4-6, “Ever Been to Ghorman,” “I Have Friends Everywhere,” and “What a Festive Evening” bring us to the halfway point of Season 2.
Week Two was a masterclass of worldbuilding, introducing the audience to the world of Ghorman and their rebels. While Cassan Andor doesn’t think they’re ready for the Rebellion, Luthen Rael wants them to fail. Neither of them knows that Isb agent Dedra Meero is setting up Ghorman’s supposed wins so the Empire has a reason to put their boot down on the planet. They need it to mine a special mineral on the planet for the Death Star, but it would basically destroy the world. After our heroes lost Cinta Kaz, as she helped Vel Sartha train the Ghorman rebels, it’s setting up an explosive Week Three.
We’ll have to see what happens next.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses plot developments through Season 2, Episode 6 of “Andor,” currently streaming on Disney+.
Ben Mendelsohn cannot sit still. We’re talking via Zoom about his return to the role of Orson Krennic, the villain in the 2016 standalone “Star Wars” film “Rogue One,” for the second season of Lucasfilm’s prequel series “Andor” — and he is so exuberant about the experience that he keeps pacing throughout his London home as we talk. The Emmy-winner isn’t exactly sure when “Andor” creator and “Rogue One” screenwriter Tony Gilroy first approached him about playing Krennic again, but he does know it was before he’d had a chance to see Season 1 of the show — not that that dampened his enthusiasm.
“Tony just said, ‘Would you be amenable to coming back and just doing a few scenes?’” Mendelsohn recalls. “To which I was like, ‘Fuck yeah, absolutely.’”

Looking back, Saw Gerrera was always waiting for "Andor" to arrive. One of the last new Star Wars characters created by George Lucas himself, Saw debuted in season 5 of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and returned much older and more paranoid in "Rogue One," played by Forest Whitaker. Saw has always been a favorite among a certain subset of fans, bringing an intensity and radical revolutionary sensibility that's often missing in Star Wars. But the writing of "Andor," which embraces that same sensibility throughout, is where the character has really been able to shine.
Saw's appearances in "Andor" season 1 primarily showcased his ideology as a revolutionary leader, and that's mostly true so far in season 2 as well. But in addition to fantastic monologues about the cause, "Andor" season 2 also finally gives us an explanation for the complicated breathing apparatus Saw uses in "Rogue One."

Star Wars: Andor episodes 1-3, “One Year Later,” “Sagrona Teema,” and “Harvest,” kicked off the critically acclaimed series for its second outing.
The first three episodes catch up with our heroes after a year. Cassian Andor is in a leadership role under Luthen Rael, who is still running his spy ring. Bix Caleen and Brasso settled in hiding on the planet of Mina-Rau, but one was lost while the other was traumatized. Mon Mothma begrudgingly throws the wedding for her daughter while realizing her childhood friend Tay Kolma is a liability. Dedra Meero meets with Director Krennic, who wants to invade the planet of Ghorman for the Death Star project. All the pieces are moving for an exciting season, with Week Two jumping forward another year.

Andor has always been viewed as something of an outlier in the Star Wars universe for its more mature themes and serious, grounded vibe, but this week's three-episode season 2 premiere pushed the envelope to a place many found uncomfortable and maybe even unnecessary.

Krole (Alex Waldmann), shows up at the home of Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona), who has been working as an "undocumented" engineer on the agrarian planet Mina-Rau for the past year. Krole attempts to force himself on Bix, who manages to fight him off with a few blows to the head, killing him in the process.
Just to hammer home what viewers were witnessing, Bix shouts at another officer who orders her to surrender, “He tried to rape me!”

At times, I found Andor so excessively patient in how its storylines played out that I began to think the show was trying to waste time. However, the choices are bold and appear to be deliberate. As a near-continuation of the last season, Andor Season 2, Episode 3 brings characters back into the fold for an emotional episode that hits all the right notes.

Early in the second season of Andor, an Imperial officer considers a situation where he could arrest someone for being an undocumented immigrant, or use the threat of arrest to make that person do his bidding. Reveling in the power he has at the moment, he says, “The situation requires… nuance.”
He’s a despicable fascist predator, but he’s right about the nuance part. Andor, returning to Disney+ two-and-a-half years since we last saw it, is a seeming pop-culture paradox: a Star Wars story that requires nuance. There are...

The first season of “Andor” defied expectations and became the best thing to come out of the “Star Wars” franchise. So it’s obvious that expectations are sky high for its concluding chapters.
Covering five years over 12 episodes, there is a lot of ground to cover before we get to the opening of “Rogue One,” and “Andor” Season 2 feels as epic in scope as the entire original trilogy despite being set years before the Rebel Alliance engages in open war against the Empire. And yet, Tony Gilroy and his team deliver an ambitious, spectacular, poignant, emotionally crushing and very timely season that not only cements this show as the best “Star Wars” story, but also one of the best TV shows of the decade.

When the first season of Andor arrived, it blew away Star Wars newbies and long-time fans alike. Focusing on an unexplored character from a spin-off prequel, it surpassed all expectations, tracking the first half of Cassian Andor’s (Diego Luna) radicalisation from street thief to full-blown revolutionary. This second season charts the second half, between Cassian joining the ranks of Luthen Rael’s (Stellan Skarsgård) network of rebels and the events of 2016’s Rogue One — and despite us knowing how this ends, every step along the way is urgent, compelling, excellent television.
Season 2 begins four years before the Battle of Yavin. We find Cassian stealing an Imperial test ship, before being ambushed by a gang of rudderless rebels. Bix (Adria Arjona), still traumatised from her torture in Season 1, is hiding in the outer rim with droid B2EMO and co. Imperial supervisor Dedra Meero...

Andor is set to return to Disney+ for its highly-anticipated second (and final) season on April 22, and Lucasfilm has now released the first official clip from the three-episode premiere.
In this action-packed preview, we see Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) attempting to escape from an Imperial facility (possibly a Star Destroyer) after commandeering a Tie Fighter. As Stormtroopers rush into the hangar and begin to open fire, Andor figures out how to use the craft's weapons and cuts down most of his enemies.
Only one bazooka-wielding trooper remains, but Andor is out of missiles.
Check out the clip at the link below, along with a new social media spot focusing on Ben Mendelsohn's returning Director Orson Krennic.
That could’ve gone smoother.

The fate of Cassian Andor was sealed in 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but Diego Luna would get the opportunity to revisit the character two more times with the Andor spin-off prequel on Disney+. Deadline reports on Luna’s bittersweet departure from a galaxy far, far away as the actor reflected on finishing the arc after this upcoming season of Andor.
On the red carpet at the premiere of the season at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre, Luna says,
I said goodbye to this character when we wrapped. I had a beautiful opportunity to talk to the crew, to talk to the cast. [Creator] Tony Gilroy gave these beautiful words, we had a drink, we hugged, we cried. I’m going to miss this family.”
He continues to say that he cherishes the show and the team has “delivered and that will stay there forever, but it’s the dynamic,...
