Captain America: Brave New World is nearly here and Marvel Studios is pulling out all the stops with promotional partnerships to raise awareness for its big screen follow-up to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

A new commercial for American Family Insurance sees Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America as the hero takes flight before checking in on a local family.

This is only the second time we've seen the actor as Cap, and Mackie is likely to have only appeared in the aforementioned Disney+ series and Brave New World before Avengers: Doomsday rolls around next summer. The shield suits Sam and we expect the former Falcon to lead his own team against Doctor Doom a little over a year from now.

A second commercial, this time for Barbasol shaving cream, includes a few new snippets of footage from the movie as Sam and Joaquin Torres share a moment.

The next addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World, is set to reach theatres on February 14, 2025 – and this one is going to be keeping viewers in theatres for a shorter time than previous films in the Captain America franchise have. Theatre listings have revealed that Captain America: Brave New World has a running time of 118 minutes, so it comes in at 6 minutes shorter than Captain America: The First Avenger (124 minutes), 18 minutes shorter than Captain America: The Winter Soldier (136 minutes), and 30 minutes shorter than Captain America: Civil War (148 minutes). While it ranks on the lower end of Marvel Cinematic Universe running times, there are several MCU movies that are shorter than 118 minutes: The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and The Marvels.

We're one month away from Captain America: Brave New World arriving in theaters and tickets for the movie are expected to finally go on sale later this week.

In the meantime, we have word on the runtime for the latest chapter in the Multiverse Saga courtesy of AMC Theaters. Captain America: Brave New World clocks in at 1 hour, 58 minutes (118 minutes), making it the shortest Captain America movie to date.

Captain America: The First Avenger was 124 minutes, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was 136 minutes, and Captain America: Civil War - an Avengers movie in all but name - was 147 minutes.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follow-up is believed to have undergone quite a few changes in post-production, with reshoots adding and removing characters.

A new IMAX trailer for Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World was shared online earlier this week, and in addition to a shadowy glimpse of The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson), the teaser featured a significant line of dialogue that seems to have flown under a lot of people's radars.

At one point, we hear President Ross (Harrison Ford) mention that Adamantium has "turned us against each other."

This marks the first official mention of the indestructible metal in the MCU, and would also seem to confirm the rumor that Tiamut - the Celestial that was frozen mid-emergence in Eternals and now stands in the Indian Ocean - will be the source of this powerful new substance.

You might think it's a bit premature to label Avengers: Doomsday as the most hotly-anticipated movie of 2026, but considering we're talking about an Avengers movie that will kick off the final chapters of the Multiverse Saga, I think that is a pretty fair assessment. Marvel Studios bring their A-Game when the Avengers get together, with all four previous installments of the subfranchise within the Marvel Cinematic Universe all surpassing $1 billion (two of them surpassed $2 billion). A new year means new entries for the Marvel Cinematic Universe are on the way. First up will be Anthony Mackie taking center stage as the new Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World. The movie went into production in March of 2023, with filming lasting through June. But in December of ’23, another screenwriter was brought onto the project to write new material for reshoots, and those reshoots seemed to be quite substantial, lasting from May 2024 through November. We know that the story still involves the Serpent Society; in fact, the reshoots added Giancarlo Esposito into the mix as Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society.

Even with all the reported reshoots and reworking plaguing the production and delaying the release, the brand recognition of Captain America and an added element of Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk being promoted, the movie is still being projected to make some coin on its opening weekend.

Captain America: Brave New World is a little over a month away from arriving in theaters and, with tickets expected to go on sale imminently, we have not one, not two, but three new trailers for the movie.

The first is an IMAX trailer with key scenes presented in the expanded ratio those screens are famous for; there are some awe-inspiring action sequences and, in case it wasn't already obvious, Tiamut's remains will be the location of what could be one of the McU's best setpieces to date.

Next up is a Japanese sneak peek recycling much of the footage from the IMAX preview. Both open with a look back at Sam Wilson's journey to becoming the new Captain America, revisiting that pivotal scene in Avengers: Endgame when Steve Rogers presented the now-former Falcon with his shield.

While we already know he'll appear in Thunderbolts*, much has been said about him possibly reuniting with Anthony Mackie in Captain America: Brave New World.

Asked about that by Variety, Stan was initially flustered and quickly turned the conversation back to Thunderbolts*. "[Filming] 'Thunderbolts*', let me tell you, it was a much quieter year for me because I didn’t see Anthony Mackie," he explained. "So, I’ll say that. Although I miss Anthony Mackie, like, daily, and it’s something I don’t like to admit."

Very early opening weekend forecasts for Captain America: Brave New World landed earlier this weekend. The Marvel Studios movie has since hit tracking boards, offering a far more accurate idea of what to expect next month.

As Deadline reports, Anthony Mackie's first solo adventure as the McU's new Captain America is currently eyeing a 3-day Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend haul of $86 million - $95 million.

Over the four days, it should easily pass $100 million, a solid result for a movie that also stars Harrison Ford, Tim Blake Nelson, and Giancarlo Esposito. As things stand, there's a good chance Captain America: Brave New World will score the second-highest opening Captain America movie behind only Civil War ($179.1 million).

Captain America: Civil War was essentially an Avengers movie in everything but its name, so a better comparison is 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier which debuted with $95 million.

We're still just over a month away from the release of the next Marvel Studios movie, Captain America: Brave New World, and early box office tracking for Sam Wilson's (Anthony Mackie) first big-screen outing as the Sentinel of Liberty is now online.

It's still very early days for an accurate estimate, but according to Box Office Theory, the latest MCU adventure looks set for a domestic opening weekend of between $81 million and 107 million (a final domestic total of $195-280 million is predicted).

This wouldn't exactly be a spectacular bow (and quite a bit behind Deadpool and Wolverine's $211 million), but keep in mind that these are only domestic estimates.

But now in 2025, the MCU is soaring back in full strength, starting with "Captain America: Brave New World." Following on from the "Falcon and The Winter Soldier" Disney+ series, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has officially stepped into the role of Captain America for the franchise's fourth film. Sam is set to find himself in an international conspiracy of Hulk supporting characters, from President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (Harrison Ford), aka the Red Hulk, to the long-unseen twisted scientist Samuel Sterns/The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson).

Sam Wilson returns in Captain America: Brave New World, hitting theaters on February 14. To celebrate the highly-anticipated movie, Sam Wilson: Captain America #2 and Red Hulk #1, both on sale next month, will have special "Marvel Studios Variant Covers."

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next Captain America movie since Sam Wilson took on the role in the MCU. Sam Wilson’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is building up decent hype around it, but it also faced some controversies in the past.

Chris Evans is a name that cannot be separated from live-action Captain America due to his legacy in the MCU. Even though the cinematic universe currently has a new Captain America – Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie, we still can’t help but conjure images of Evans’ Steve Rogers every time we hear about the character.

As Sebastian Stan took home the Golden Globe for Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, for his performance in A Different Man, Marvel co-star Anthony Mackie bulldozed into a post-win interview to celebrate him.

During Stan’s postmortem interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mackie grabbed the microphone, chanted “We Won!,” and fired questions at the first-time Golden Globe winner. As Stan called the take-over experience a “dream and my nightmare all in one,” Mackie had more to say.

Some Marvel fans were confused at the start of the Golden Globes when Stan chatted with MTV’s Josh Horowitz and made a playful jab at Mackie. Stan was asked which 2025 Marvel tentpole Horowitz should see: the Stan-starring “Thunderbolts” or the Mackie-headlined “Captain America: Brave New World”?

From The Rock’s crack about his hair being used for Timothée Chalamet’s wig, to Melissa McCarthy’s concern for the “severity of the cocaine addiction in the bear community,” here are the most colorful, crazy and cringy moments from the three-hour, 12-minute ceremony on CBS.

Colorful: “You’re all so famous, so talented, so powerful,” said Glaser. “I mean, you could really do anything, except tell the country who to vote for.”
