Charlie Cox's Daredevil will undoubtedly be a key figure in the new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Matt Murdock has made a few appearances in the MCU so far, but they've been nothing more than cameos. For instance, he was Peter Parker's lawyer in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In addition, he appeared in the MCU shows She-Hulk and Echo.
Come March, Cox's Daredevil will be properly introduced into the MCU in Daredevil: Born Again. The series brings back the old team from Netflix's original Daredevil show. The nine-episode debut season brings us up to speed with Murdock's story, re-introducing fans to Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, is now mayor, which will surely lead to no end of difficulties for our heroes.

Captain America: Brave New World is nearly here and Marvel Studios is pulling out all the stops with promotional partnerships to raise awareness for its big screen follow-up to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
A new commercial for American Family Insurance sees Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America as the hero takes flight before checking in on a local family.
This is only the second time we've seen the actor as Cap, and Mackie is likely to have only appeared in the aforementioned Disney+ series and Brave New World before Avengers: Doomsday rolls around next summer. The shield suits Sam and we expect the former Falcon to lead his own team against Doctor Doom a little over a year from now.
A second commercial, this time for Barbasol shaving cream, includes a few new snippets of footage from the movie as Sam and Joaquin Torres share a moment.

The next addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World, is set to reach theatres on February 14, 2025 – and this one is going to be keeping viewers in theatres for a shorter time than previous films in the Captain America franchise have. Theatre listings have revealed that Captain America: Brave New World has a running time of 118 minutes, so it comes in at 6 minutes shorter than Captain America: The First Avenger (124 minutes), 18 minutes shorter than Captain America: The Winter Soldier (136 minutes), and 30 minutes shorter than Captain America: Civil War (148 minutes). While it ranks on the lower end of Marvel Cinematic Universe running times, there are several MCU movies that are shorter than 118 minutes: The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and The Marvels.

Anthony Russo initially turned down the idea of directing ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.The filmmaker is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with his directing brother Joe Russo and screenwriter Steven McFeely for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and its sequel ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, though Joe has revealed Anthony initially wasn’t a fan of the idea of helming the follow-up blockbuster.Joe told Empire magazine: "There were ideas that we were trying to wrap our heads around that preceded this one, and we just never found the story."I remember calling Steve and said, ‘Hey, crazy idea. What do you think if we all go back and do ‘Secret Wars?’"[Anthony] was like, ‘F*** no. Absolutely not.’ And then you hung up. And the next morning at 7:30 you called and were like, ‘Alright, I have an idea.’"Anthony added he and Joe "stumbled upon an idea" that got the wheels turning on...

We're one month away from Captain America: Brave New World arriving in theaters and tickets for the movie are expected to finally go on sale later this week.
In the meantime, we have word on the runtime for the latest chapter in the Multiverse Saga courtesy of AMC Theaters. Captain America: Brave New World clocks in at 1 hour, 58 minutes (118 minutes), making it the shortest Captain America movie to date.
Captain America: The First Avenger was 124 minutes, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was 136 minutes, and Captain America: Civil War - an Avengers movie in all but name - was 147 minutes.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follow-up is believed to have undergone quite a few changes in post-production, with reshoots adding and removing characters.
WWE Superstar Seth Rollins recently alluded to that in an interview confirming his Serpent Society villain has been left on the cutting room floor:

A new IMAX trailer for Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World was shared online earlier this week, and in addition to a shadowy glimpse of The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson), the teaser featured a significant line of dialogue that seems to have flown under a lot of people's radars.
At one point, we hear President Ross (Harrison Ford) mention that Adamantium has "turned us against each other."
This marks the first official mention of the indestructible metal in the MCU, and would also seem to confirm the rumor that Tiamut - the Celestial that was frozen mid-emergence in Eternals and now stands in the Indian Ocean - will be the source of this powerful new substance.
Possible spoilers follow.
Apparently, Japan will be the first country to extract Adamantium from Tiamut, before realizing that it has power to absorb radiation, thus making it an effective weapon against The Hulk...

You might think it's a bit premature to label Avengers: Doomsday as the most hotly-anticipated movie of 2026, but considering we're talking about an Avengers movie that will kick off the final chapters of the Multiverse Saga, I think that is a pretty fair assessment. Marvel Studios bring their A-Game when the Avengers get together, with all four previous installments of the subfranchise within the Marvel Cinematic Universe all surpassing $1 billion (two of them surpassed $2 billion). A fraction of that would be a huge win for any other franchise.
And Marvel really is pulling out all the stops to ensure that this one makes itself at home amongst the other Avengers movies. We'll not say that the franchise's best days are all behind it, but the MCU has struggled to make the current saga as seamless and must-see as the Infinity Saga, so you can bet they are committed to making...

Much has been said about Sam Wilson becoming the McU's new Captain America without the Super Soldier Serum pumping through his veins.
By now, we've had multiple explanations regarding how he can face Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World (one of which we've included below as a refresher), but for those of you who still aren't convinced...well, this promo might change your minds.
In a newly released social media promo, we see Anthony Mackie's Captain America effortlessly slicing through a jet using his wings. A similar shot has been featured in other trailers - specifically when he cuts the car thrown at him by Red Hulk in half - but this time, we catch sight of a familiar purple glow.
Yes, Cap is using the same kinetic energy technology T'Challa utilised in 2018's Black Panther. While it still doesn't make him super strong, it will even...

A new year means new entries for the Marvel Cinematic Universe are on the way. First up will be Anthony Mackie taking center stage as the new Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World. The movie went into production in March of 2023, with filming lasting through June. But in December of ’23, another screenwriter was brought onto the project to write new material for reshoots, and those reshoots seemed to be quite substantial, lasting from May 2024 through November. We know that the story still involves the Serpent Society; in fact, the reshoots added Giancarlo Esposito into the mix as Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society.
Even with all the reported reshoots and reworking plaguing the production and delaying the release, the brand recognition of Captain America and an added element of Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk being promoted, the movie is still being projected to make some coin on its opening weekend.

Captain America: Brave New World New Trailers Revisit Sam Wilson's MCU Journey And Tease Epic Action
Captain America: Brave New World is a little over a month away from arriving in theaters and, with tickets expected to go on sale imminently, we have not one, not two, but three new trailers for the movie.
The first is an IMAX trailer with key scenes presented in the expanded ratio those screens are famous for; there are some awe-inspiring action sequences and, in case it wasn't already obvious, Tiamut's remains will be the location of what could be one of the McU's best setpieces to date.
Next up is a Japanese sneak peek recycling much of the footage from the IMAX preview. Both open with a look back at Sam Wilson's journey to becoming the new Captain America, revisiting that pivotal scene in Avengers: Endgame when Steve Rogers presented the now-former Falcon with his shield.
Finally, we have a leaked 4Dx trailer. The quality isn't great but...

While we already know he'll appear in Thunderbolts*, much has been said about him possibly reuniting with Anthony Mackie in Captain America: Brave New World.
Asked about that by Variety, Stan was initially flustered and quickly turned the conversation back to Thunderbolts*. Although I miss Anthony Mackie, like, daily, and it’s something I don’t like to admit."

We’ve been waiting for the next installment in ‘Captain America’ franchise since Sam Wilson took over the mantle in the MCU. The character’s first standalone movie was marked with significant hype but also with several scandals.
The development of the movie was long and complicated, during which the movie was delayed several times and reportedly underwent allegedly pricy and lengthy reshoots, due to poor test screenings.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ will see Sam Wilson trying to unite the Avengers again after the wakeful and sinister eye of Thunderbolt Ross, who is also set to be one of the villains in the movie.
A new IMAX trailer has recently been released, and you can check it out below. The trailer showcases Red Hulk, Captain America flying in a new suit, and some extended scenes that feature Esposito’s Sidewinder – the leader of the Serpent Society.

2024 was one of the best years in his career for Sebastian Stan. He played a man with neurofibromatosis in A Different Man and later portrayed a young Donald Trump in The Apprentice. Very early opening weekend forecasts for Captain America: Brave New World landed earlier this weekend. The Marvel Studios movie has since hit tracking boards, offering a far more accurate idea of what to expect next month.
As Deadline reports, Anthony Mackie's first solo adventure as the McU's new Captain America is currently eyeing a 3-day Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend haul of $86 million - $95 million.
Over the four days, it should easily pass $100 million, a solid result for a movie that also stars Harrison Ford, Tim Blake Nelson, and Giancarlo Esposito. As things stand, there's a good chance Captain America: Brave New World will score the second-highest opening Captain America movie behind only Civil War ($179.1 million).
Captain America: Civil War was essentially an Avengers movie in everything but its name, so a better comparison is 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier which debuted with $95 million.

When Sebastian Stan greets you, there’s an earnest warmth in his voice that makes you forget, even for a moment, the intensity of the roles he’s embodied this past year. The 41-year-old actor is riding high on a wave of critical acclaim for his two vastly different but equally daring performances in “The Apprentice” and “A Different Man,” which earned him double Golden Globe nominations — a feat last achieved by Ryan Gosling in 2016.
This past year, Stan has proven, yet again, why he’s one of the most transformative actors working today. From donning prosthetics and exploring themes of self-acceptance in “A Different Man” to stepping into the psyche of one of the most polarizing figures in modern history for “The Apprentice,” Stan’s ability to disappear into a role is matched only by his determination to tell complicated stories, no matter the fallout.

Sometimes, you gotta go through the hardest battles to earn your place in the sun. We're still just over a month away from the release of the next Marvel Studios movie, Captain America: Brave New World, and early box office tracking for Sam Wilson's (Anthony Mackie) first big-screen outing as the Sentinel of Liberty is now online.
It's still very early days for an accurate estimate, but according to Box Office Theory, the latest MCU adventure looks set for a domestic opening weekend of between $81 million and 107 million (a final domestic total of $195-280 million is predicted).
This wouldn't exactly be a spectacular bow (and quite a bit behind Deadpool and Wolverine's $211 million), but keep in mind that these are only domestic estimates.
Though the most recent trailer did go over a lot better than the initial teaser, anticipation for the film has been somewhat muted. Mixed/negative test-screening reports haven't helped, and it remains to be seen if this fourth Cap movie -...

When it comes to Thunderbolts*, Yelena Belova/Black Widow (Florence Pugh), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) are put front and centre.
Each of these characters is expected to have a significant role to play in Avengers: Doomsday, likely as part of the same or two separate teams of Avengers. It's widely believed the asterisk in Thunderbolts*'s title stands for *New Avengers, while we've heard Sam is looking to assemble a team of his own in Brave New World.

The next addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World, is set to reach theatres on February 14, 2025 – and wrestler Seth Rollins has confirmed that his role has been cut out of the film.
Captain America: Brave New World went into production in March of 2023, with filming lasting through June. In May, Rollins was spotted on set and appeared to be playing a member of the villainous Serpent Society. But in December of ’23, another screenwriter was brought onto the project to write new material for reshoots, and those reshoots seemed to be quite substantial, lasting from May 2024 through November. We know that the story still involves the Serpent Society; in fact, the reshoots added Giancarlo Esposito into the mix as Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society… but for some reason, Rollins’ character no longer fit into the reworked story.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe took a slight break in 2024; the only entries were the loosely-connected film "Deadpool & Wolverine," the "Hawkeye" spinoff show "Echo," and the witchy Disney+ series "Agatha All Along" (along with the third and final season of the animated multiverse anthology "What If...?").
But now in 2025, the MCU is soaring back in full strength, starting with "Captain America: Brave New World." Following on from the "Falcon and The Winter Soldier" Disney+ series, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has officially stepped into the role of Captain America for the franchise's fourth film. Sam is set to find himself in an international conspiracy of Hulk supporting characters, from President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (Harrison Ford), aka the Red Hulk, to the long-unseen twisted scientist Samuel Sterns/The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson).
So, of course, it's time for movie synergy. Sam is the Captain America in Jed MacKay's "Avengers" right now...

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch Are the Unluckiest Couple in WWE After What Happened to Their MCU Debut
While WWE legend Seth Rollins was previously spotted on the set of the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World and was speculated to have a role in the Marvel blockbuster, he will now have a ringside seat when the film releases. Because according to his recent interview on the Insight podcast with Chris Van Vliet, Rollins confirmed that he will not be in the final cut of the film.

It seems that after his wife Becky Lynch’s supposed character was omitted from Chloé Zhao-directed 2021 film Eternals, even Seth Rollins is suffering the same fate. Sam Wilson returns in Captain America: Brave New World, hitting theaters on February 14. To celebrate the highly-anticipated movie, Sam Wilson: Captain America #2 and Red Hulk #1, both on sale next month, will have special "Marvel Studios Variant Covers."
The covers will feature Marvel Studios' Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding's original character illustrations and designs for Sam Wilson and the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of the Red Hulk.
We only have the former for now but it offers a new look at Sam's new Captain America costume. This is a big departure from both The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and the comics and more in line with what Chris Evans' Steve Rogers has typically worn on screen.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next Captain America movie since Sam Wilson took on the role in the MCU. Sam Wilson’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is building up decent hype around it, but it also faced some controversies in the past.
The movie’s development was long and difficult, with multiple delays and reportedly expensive reshoots after poor test screenings. Those reshoots added $100M to the overall budget according to reports, and significantly changed the story.
The original story was supposed to feature King Cobra and the Serpent Society. Seth Rollins also known as Tyler Black a popular WWE wrestler and occasional actor was supposed to portray King Cobra and there were some set images that proved those claims.
Then a few months after those set images were revealed notable industry insider CanWeGetSomeToast reported the following:

When cameras were rolling on Captain America: Brave New World in 2023, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was spotted suited up alongside the rest of the Serpent Society.
Original plans called for the Marvel Studios movie to be released last summer. However, when the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes shut down Hollywood, the studio took the opportunity to make a series of sweeping changes, including adding Giancarlo Esposito's Sidewinder to the movie.
Unfortunately, outside of Rosa Salazar's Diamondback, it seems the rest of the villainous group will be left on the cutting room floor.
Talking to Chris Van Vliet, Rollins confirmed that he'll no longer appear in Captain America: Brave New World (rumour has it he was playing Cobra).
"It releases in February. I wish it the best, but I am not a part of that film. [What happened?] Well, does my NDA still apply if I'm not in the film anymore?...

Chris Evans is a name that cannot be separated from live-action Captain America due to his legacy in the MCU. Even though the cinematic universe currently has a new Captain America – Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie, we still can’t help but conjure images of Evans’ Steve Rogers every time we hear about the character.
But, before Evans got to play the role plenty of actors were in the running for the coveted position. One of them was Wilson Bethel who is to the fans best known as Benjamin Poindexter aka Bullseye in ‘Daredevil’ Netflix show.
Bethel will also reprise his role in role in the upcoming ‘Born Again’ revival.
At a recent Fan Expo, Wilson Bethel shared how close he came to playing Captain America in the MCU. He explained that he made it to the screen testing phase and even tried on the suit, but ultimately lost the role to Chris Evans.

Sebastian Stan is an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it comes to the Captain America side of things. Having appeared in every Captain America movie since the first, Bucky Barnes might seem as synonymous with the franchise as Cap himself.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is a highly awaited superhero movie that will see Sam Wilson taking on the mantle of Captain America in his first solo installment. It will be the fourth film in the ‘Captain America’ series, continuing from the TV series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ (2021).
The film is directed by Julius Onah, who co-wrote the script with Peter Glanz and Matthew Orton. Anthony Mackie stars as Sam Wilson / Captain America, with other actors like Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, and Harrison Ford also starring.
In the movie, Sam Wilson finds himself involved in an international incident going up against several world powers and the Red Hulk. Captain America: Brave New World‘s trailer has set the expectations pretty high for the film. The film has caused fans to expect a high-stakes political thriller, something akin to Captain America: Winter Soldier, with epic fight scenes and the introduction of one of the greatest anti-heroes of Marvel Comics: Red Hulk.

A couple of Captain America: Brave New World-themed adverts were recently shared online, and while they only feature brief snippets of footage from the movie itself (see below), one quick shot may explain how Sam Wilson is able to stand and fight an enemy of incredible power such as the Red Hulk.
Ever since we first heard that our new Cap would be taking on "Rulk" in the movie, fans have wondered how a highly-skilled - but unenhanced - individual like Wilson could possibly hope to last more than a few seconds against the rampaging Red Goliath. Sure, the suit and shield would give him an edge over the average Joe, but with no super soldier serum, the battle would still be over very quickly.
During a 2024 interview, Anthony Mackie was asked how his character could withstand an attack from Red Hulk.
"Sam’s evolution is simple. He’s still a counsellor.

Captain America: Brave New World TV Spot Brings Back A Surprise Character From The Ant-man Franchise
With Captain America: Brave New World just over a month away from arriving in theaters, the promotional tie-ins have begun and Tide has released three new TV spots for 2025's first MCU movie.
You might have caught a Gif version of Red Hulk fighting Captain America but the full snippet - which was pretty easy to find on YouTube - can now be watched below. However, an even bigger talking point on social media has been the surprise return of Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's Dale.
Played by Gregg Turkington, he hired and fired Scott Lang from a San Francisco chain of Baskin-Robbins before later reuniting with the crook-turned-superhero after Ant-Man saved the universe in Avengers: Endgame.

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan had a sweet Marvel reunion at this year’s Golden Globes. The two last worked together in ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ in 2021. With Marvel’s Phase 5 continuing in 2025, both characters are returning to the MCU—Sam Wilson will star in ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ while Bucky Barnes will appear in the ‘Thunderbolts*’ movie. However, it’s still unclear when they’ll team up again on screen.

When Sebastian Stan was growing up in Romania under communist rule, the risk of speaking up, or challenging the government, was truly terrifying. “I remember being very young in that country, where you would be afraid of what your neighbor might see or think or hear in your own house because they could call and tell on you,” he says.
Perhaps it’s partly that early experience that led him to step up and play a young Donald Trump in The Apprentice—a role most actors might have shied away from, in which he embodies a story so divisive and contentious it could easily have toppled his acting career. And now, post-Trump-win, Stan continues to speak out, when much of Hollywood has fallen eerily silent on the topic.
On Sunday night at the Golden Globes, Stan was double-nominated, for both The Apprentice and the A24 film A Different Man, and he won for the latter.

Marvel Studios' decision to release just one movie last year was met with some disappointment, but it certainly paid off for the studio, as Deadpool and Wolverine proved to be the most profitable MCU film in quite a while.
Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters this Valentine's Day, and while the most recent trailer seemed to go over a lot better than the first teaser, anticipation for Sam Wilson's (Anthony Mackie) first big-screen outing as the Sentinel of Liberty has been somewhat muted.
Mixed/negative test-screening reports haven't helped, and it remains to be seen if this fourth Cap movie - and first without Steve Rogers - can keep the momentum going.
One aspect of the film that does have a lot of fans excited is the introduction of Red Hulk, who will be played via mocap by the legendary Harrison Ford. In these (very) brief new clips from the movie,...

We first met Samuel Sterns in 2008's The Incredible Hulk; the movie ended with him being exposed to Gamma-irradiated blood which dripped into a wound on his head, causing his head to mutate.
We haven't seen him since but the villain will make his long-awaited return in Captain America: Brave New World next month.
It's an unexpected movie to bring The Leader back into the fold (why not She-Hulk: Attorney at Law?), though with Red Hulk set to be unleashed and a World War Hulk project somewhere on the horizon, this is likely just the beginning for the character's MCU arc.
Today, we have some promo art showcasing The Leader's full MCU costume. It's not particularly flashy but he looks comic-accurate and there's always a chance Sterns will don a traditional "suit" down the line.

An unlikely Marvel reunion took place at the 82nd Golden Globes Sunday. As Sebastian Stan took home the Golden Globe for Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, for his performance in A Different Man, Marvel co-star Anthony Mackie bulldozed into a post-win interview to celebrate him.
During Stan’s postmortem interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mackie grabbed the microphone, chanted “We Won!,” and fired questions at the first-time Golden Globe winner. As Stan called the take-over experience a “dream and my nightmare all in one,” Mackie had more to say.

It’s never easy for sports fans when those pesky things like work and family commitments get in the way of watching a big game. Luckily, the advent of cell phones, Wi-Fi, and/or strong 5G coverage has made it possible for fans everywhere to catch every big play while nominally giving a small percentage of their attention to the actual events surrounding them.

Sebastian Stan won the Golden Globe for best actor in a motion picture (comedy or musical) thanks to his acclaimed performance in “A Different Man,” and few people were more excited than his longtime Marvel co-star Anthony Mackie, who proceeded to crash several of Stan’s post-win interviews with overjoyed enthusiasm for his friend. The two actors have been Marvel scene partners since 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Solider” and co-headlined the 2021 limited series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Disney+.
Some Marvel fans were confused at the start of the Golden Globes when Stan chatted with MTV’s Josh Horowitz and made a playful jab at Mackie. Stan was asked which 2025 Marvel tentpole Horowitz should see: the Stan-starring “Thunderbolts” or the Mackie-headlined “Captain America: Brave New World”?
“I don’t know who Anthony is,” Stan said while ending the interview short and running into the ballroom for the awards ceremony.

Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie first shared the screen as Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They were later forced to be unwilling allies in Captain America: Civil War and then took centre stage as teammates in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+.
During last night's Golden Globes, Stan took home an award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his stellar performance in A Different Man.
However, it didn't long for Mackie, the McU's new Captain America, to crash the party. "We won," he joked, with Stan adding, "Captain America and the Winter Soldier, we're coming back!"
Mackie showed up during a separate interview, presenting his former co-star with a rose. When the interviewer asked Stan what it meant to get that sort of support from his fellow actor, he got serious for a moment and replied, "Listen, we...

The 82nd Golden Globes, or as host called Nikki Glaser dubbed “Ozempic’s biggest night,” delivered more than a few humdingers from the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton on Sunday. From The Rock’s crack about his hair being used for Timothée Chalamet’s wig, to Melissa McCarthy’s concern for the “severity of the cocaine addiction in the bear community,” here are the most colorful, crazy and cringy moments from the three-hour, 12-minute ceremony on CBS.
Colorful: “You’re all so famous, so talented, so powerful,” said Glaser. “I mean, you could really do anything, except tell the country who to vote for.”
Crazy-Cringy: Maybe we’re so used to watching the presenters head on from the Pov of the audience, but the camera angle for their intros felt extremely loud and incredibly close this year. And the snafus with the Teleprompter (poor Ariana DeBose) didn’t make the situation any better.
