Henry Moore Selder studied film theory at the Stockholm University and
practical filmmaking at the Stockholm Film School. Since graduating he
has made several award winning short film such as the mini musical
Deadly Boring which was nominated for a Guldbagge (Swedish academy
award) and it's sequel She is dead, a mini noir masterpiece. Other
short films include the road movie Driving Around and the psychological
thriller A thorough Examination.
Henry has also collaborated with several Swedish artists and art institutions on short films, art videos and events. Many of these collaborations has been showed in renowned museums all over the world. For example the video work Project for a Revolution, a collaboration with Johanna Billing has been showed in a large number of solo and group shows for example at the international pavilion of the Venice Biennal. A copy of the film has been bought into the permanent collection of the Modern Museum in Stockholm.
In parallel with the short film work Henry has been crafting a career in commercial filmmaking. Starting out with music videos for bands like The Hives and Garbage, to name a few, and moving over to commercials Henry has gone on to become one of Swedens top commercials directors, mainly working for international clients such as Nike, Audi, Renault, Mercedes, Pepsi etc.
