The trailer of the upcoming streaming series ‘Dil Dosti Dilemma’ was unveiled on Tuesday, which introduces the viewers to the character of Asmara played by Anushka Sen.

Asmara is a witty and charming young girl from a privileged family in Bengaluru, who is excited to spend her summer holidays in Canada.

However, her plans take an unexpected turn when she ends up at Tibbri Road, the middle-class neighbourhood of her maternal grandparents.

The show is adapted from the book ‘Asmara’s Summer’ penned by Andaleeb Wajid.

‘Dil Dosti Dilemma’ is directed by Debbie Rao and written by Anuradha Tiwari, Bugs Bhargava Krishna, Raghav Dutt, and Manjiri Vijay. The series also stars Kush Jotwani, Tanvi Azmi, and Shishir Sharma in lead roles.

Tanvi Azmi, who plays Asmara’s grandmother, said, “Throughout my career, I’ve always gravitated towards roles that feel real because I believe that authenticity truly challenges an actor.

The upcoming streaming show ‘Dil Dosti Dilemma’ follows the story of a girl, Asmara, who is sent to her grandparents’ neighbourhood as a form of punishment during her summer vacations. However, the twist comes when, in order to maintain appearances with her friends, she pretends to be in Canada.

The show has been adapted from the popular book ‘Asmara’s Summer’, written by Andaleeb Wajid.

It has been directed by Debbie Rao and written by Anuradha Tiwari, Bugs Bhargava Krishna, Raghav Dutt, and Manjiri Pupala.

It stars Anushka Sen, Kush Jotwani, Tanvi Azmi, and Shishir Sharma in lead roles, and Shruti Seth, Vishakha Pandey, Revathi Pillai, Elisha Mayor, and Suhasini Mulay in pivotal roles.

During her journey, Asmara navigates the avenue of self-discovery, nurtures family bonds, forges genuine friendships, and experiences the magic of first love amid the bylanes of Tibbri Road.

The 3rd Indian Screenwriters’ Conference will be held from February 25 – 27, 2013 in St. Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra, Mumbai. Organised by the Film Writers Association (Fwa), the agenda of the conference is divided in two parts: ‘creative issues’ and ‘professional and legal issues’ facing television and film writers.

More than 150 people gathered at the Dream Downtown Hotel during the weekend to glean “insider” information about directing, producing, writing, and financing Bollywood films from A-list Indian filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Zoya Akhtar, and screenwriter Anuraadha Tewari. Presented by Dar Motion Pictures (a division of Dar Media Pvt. Ltd.) and Mumbai and New York based Molecule Communications and supported by Vikram Chatwal the two-day educational conference titled Ticket2Bollywood was themed Bollywood: Beyond the Song and Dance. The event provided a platform for aspiring and established actors, directors, and producers to learn how they could potentially break into Bollywood.

“So many Bollywood directors are choosing to shoot their films abroad, whether in New York or other major cities around the world,” says Kiren Shrivastav, Director and CEO of Molecule Communications. “These filmmakers are always looking for local talent, production crews, writers, directors, and music composers to give their films an international flare and perspective.

In news for more controversial reasons than one, Heroine like all Madhur Bhandarkar movies was on the must-watch films list of many. For a country constantly fascinated with the inside tittle-tattle of the glamour world, salacious gossips has many takers. When a filmmaker intents to throw mirror on the colorful life of mainstream actress in his bare-all voyeuristic way, there can’t be a better subject for the commercial masala-loving Indian cinema audiences. But such narratives have a shelf-life. Having indulged in realistic portrayal of the showbiz in his previous films, there is just about that much surface that can be scratched whilst having to maintain a conservative approach at the risk of offending anyone. How then does Madhur make Heroine any different from his earlier flicks? Read on.

Heroine is the flashback tell-tale of actress Mahi Arora (Kareena Kapoor), her journey from lows to lows as narrated by TV presenter.

With Madhur successfully finding his 'Heroine' in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her Hero in Arjun Rampal, his next big decision seems to lie in finding the right choice for the second male lead opposite Aishwarya.

Since the script demands that the second male lead should be someone younger to Aishwarya, the front contenders for the role are Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and Prateik Babbar. While Ranbir and Imran were the obvious initial choices, Prateik's name popped up during the creative teams brain-storming. Since the actress hasn't been paired with any of the Gen-y actors before, if Ranbir, Imran or Prateik are eventually chosen for the role, it will be an interesting pairing of sorts on-screen.
