Lets face it: you already know whether youre going to like this movie or not from the title alone, right? The Asylum Mega- franchise has garnered itself a fair number of fans over the past few years, with high-brow classics such as Mega Piranha and last years super-popular Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus doing the business for Syfy’s viewership by providing an ultra-cheap form of entertainment enjoyed more for its laughable acting and special effects than its stellar writing or innovative filmmaking.

Sunrise, Wyoming March 5 1861 Two men engage in a showdown and one is Dean (Jensen Ackles) in cowboy attire. The clock strikes high noon. The Supernatural opening is similar to Bonanza. 48 Hours earlier Sam (Jared Padalecki) searches the cellar for books etc for anything to help them with Eve. Bobby (Jim Beaver) mentions Phoenix and Dean asks, "Is that River, Joaquin or the flaming bird." "Ashes of the mother can burn the mother." "...killed a phoenix today and left a pile of flaming ash." That's from Samuel Colt's journal. Dean doesn't share the journal and he actually found what they needed too. So much for Sam being the geek, ha. "Star Trek IV the bitch," is Dean's suggestion. "Save the whales, go back in time and hunt the Phoenix." Obviously no one knows the plot of the film. Dean knows someone who can do it. Cas - "I dream...

"Hi ho silver" takes on a whole new meaning this Friday when Sam and Dean load up and head to the wild, wild west in search of Samuel Colt in Supernatural's "Frontierland!"
The high concept episode, announced at San Diego Comic Con airs Friday, April 22nd immediately following Smallville's "Booster," and sees the boys travelling back in time in search of a new means to defeat "Mother of All" Eve.
Meanwhile, Castiel faces his own challenges in both getting the boys to and from their destination, as well as his relationship with angel lieutenant Rachel (Sonya Salomaa), as the civil war in Heaven rages on.
But while it's hardly the first Supernatural episode to have a little fun with Dean's love of pop culture, expect plenty of references to your favorite time-travel and wild west franchises as his over-enthusiasm gets the better of him in these new clips!

Fango spoke to longtime New Zealand producer Dale Bradley, who tackled his first job in Australia with Malibu Shark Attack, a killer-fish film that lensed in Queensland under the title Goblin Shark Attack and premieres on the Sci Fi Channel (which co-produced the movie, and is soon to be known as Syfy) this summer. Bradley passed on a couple of production pics (see them below), and explains the flick’s odd original moniker.
The onscreen predators “are based on a species called goblin sharks [see art at bottom], which don’t look like your normal great white,” Bradley tells us. “They’re very fearsome-looking creatures. Ours are actually larger than the real thing, but modeled on them for the look that the CG company created.
