Michael Tierney was born in Pasadena CA and raised on Wonderland Avenue in the Laurel Canyon area of the Hollywood hills.
His father was Edward Tierney, an actor and building contractor who built many homes along Wonderland Avenue and who was the youngest brother of actors Lawrence Tierney and Scott Brady.
Michael wrote, directed, and starred in the independent feature, Evicted (1999), which opened the 1st Annual Melbourne Underground Film Festival in Melbourne Australia in July of 2000 and was released internationally in May of 2004.
