General Hospital star Cameron Mathison is a man of many talents.
Some viewers may not love his role as Drew Cain in Port Charles, but Cameron seems to be a different story.
He has been a daytime favorite since debuting on the soap scene as All My Children’s Ryan Lavery in January 1998.
Aside from his presence in the daytime world, Cameron was also a fixture on Hallmark for years. However, he recently moved to the Great American Family (Gaf) network alongside many of his former Hallmark colleagues.
Cameron clearly enjoys hosting, as he freelanced with Good Morning America for several years and even worked with Entertainment Tonight for some time.
And now, he will add game show host to his lengthy resume.

Drew & Carly Break Up Over Jason
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) made his much-anticipated return to Port Charles. Despite being thought of as dead for two years, Jason was very much alive. He’d been working with the FBI as an informant.
Jason’s return put a wedge between his brother Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly (Laura Wright.) Upon his return to Port Charles, Jason was caught up in the shooting of Dante (Dominic Zamprogna.) After the shooting, Jason made a beeline for Carly. Drew showed up, accusing her of harboring a fugitive.

General Hospital announced the return of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) during the 60th anniversary special earlier this year.
It wasn’t a shock to viewers who have been following Steve’s career, as when he exited General Hospital in 2021, and Jason was presumed dead, he moved on to playing Harris Michaels on Peacock’s Days of our Lives.
The news of Jason’s return has been met with mixed reactions, as this is the third time he’s walked away from the show, only to come back again and again.
Before his return this last time, he left General Hospital to play Dylan McAvoy on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. Some viewers were disgusted that he walked away to a rival soap, and when he came back, Billy Miller (who was the nuJason) was shafted and made into the new (and unnecessary) character, Drew Cain.
This week, Jason is back in Port Charles.

General Hospital has lost its way, and adding cast members with little to no significance to the current cast has been par for the course.
The cast is so bloated, yet many longtime fan favorites have been on the back burner for so long that what was simmering is probably stuck to the pot.
Over the years, the show has morphed from the hospital drama to being more focused on the mob scene, run by none other than Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Whether viewers want to admit it or not, he has become the face of the show. He is on nearly every day and often is the center of focus for several big storylines on the daytime drama.
However, some of us remember the days of great storylines that happened at the hospital. The nursing staff has dwindled, and the doctors are few and far between these days.

Jason Thompson has been waiting more than a decade to finally win at the Daytime Emmys. Will this be his year? He’s nominated for Best Actor for playing Billy Abbott on “The Young and the Restless.” That character has already won Emmys for two other actors before him. In fact, if Thompson picks up the torch, it would be a historic feat since no character has won Best Actor for two different actors.
David Tom was the first Emmy-winning Billy. He claimed Best Younger Actor in 2000. He left the show in 2002, but a couple of recasts later Billy Miller stepped into the role in 2008 and became the most successful Billy at the Emmys. He earned five nominations and won three of them: Best Supporting Actor in 2010 and 2013, then Best Actor in 2014.
