Fans Mourn Beloved Bachelor In Paradise Icon
Bachelor In Paradise has a new cast and logo every season. But one constant has been around since an early season, and we don’t mean bartender Wells Adams.
Have you found yourself randomly belting out, “We’re knockin’ on heaven’s door, almost paradise…”? You’re not alone. The earworm opening theme song has been a staple on Bip since Season 3. What you may not know is that Eric Carmen co-wrote the iconic song.

Eric Carmen, the Ohio-born soft rock singer-songwriter behind era-defining hits like “All by Myself” and “Hungry Eyes,” as well as “Almost Paradise” from the movie “Footloose,” died over the weekend of undisclosed causes, his wife, Amy announced Monday. He was 74.
Prior to his solo career, Carmen also had success as the lead singer of the early 70s power pop outfit The Raspberries.
“It is with tremendous sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Eric Carmen,” Amy Carmen wrote in a message posted to the singer’s official site and on Facebook. “Our sweet, loving and talented Eric passed away in his sleep, over the weekend. It brought him great joy to know, that for decades, his music touched so many and will be his lasting legacy. Please respect the family’s privacy as we mourn our enormous loss.”

If the theme song for Bachelor in Paradise sounds familiar, that's because it is! The catchy tune plays at the beginning of each episode, and if you don't sing it out loud every time it comes on, Wyd? The 80's-inspired intro includes Jordan sunbathing in his infamous golden underwear, Kendall holding the skull of an animal, Grocery Store Joe dropping a bag of produce, and Chris getting knocked over by a wave... because, well, he deserves it. So where exactly have you heard the song before? Footloose! Each season, the theme song, "Almost Paradise" by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson stays the same (and stays in your head for literal hours afterward), but the sequence of scenes — including cast members — changes. Somehow, the personalized intro works for the hit ABC show and Bachelor Nation certainly appreciates it. One avid watcher tweeted, "I can truly never make it through the opening...

Should they just go ahead and rename all Bachelor franchises The Full Mesnick?
In the first teaser trailer for season 2 of ABC's Bachelor in Paradise, many vets of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette can barely keep it together.
Set to the tune of 1984's "Almost Paradise" by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson, the 30-second clip features some intense makeouts and breakdowns.
The always emotional Ashley Iaconetti, of Chris Soules' season, sobs uncontrollably (not once, but twice!), and host Chris Harrison's personal favorite, Ashley Salter, gets carried away on a stretcher.
The 16 former contestants are in Mexico to find love,...

Blake Shelton, whose “Red River Blue” debuted atop the Billboard 200 last month, will channel his inner Kenny Loggins for a remake of the title track to “Footloose.” The soundtrack for the Paramount Pictures reboot of the 1984 film, which stars Julianne Hough, Dennis Quaid and newcomer Kenny Wormald, features four new versions of songs from the original. In addition to “Footloose,” teen queen Victoria Justice and country newcomer Hunter Hayes remake “Almost Paradise” (first recorded by Loverboy’s Mike Reno and Heart’s Ann Wilson), Jana Kramer puts her spin on “Let’s Hear It For the Boy” (Deniece Williams) and Ella Mae...

I managed to find three new images from Craig Brewer’s upcoming remake of Footloose that we haven’t seen yet. The last first look we saw of the film was in October of last year, where we saw the prom photo image that looked like the original movie. One of the images I found on a Paramount press site, so it may just be a publicity image for star Kenny Wormwald, while the other two are from the film featuring Julianne Hough. The La Times previewed one of the photos and even had an interview with Craig Brewer to talk about the film. But, first things first, I have always wondered why the director of musical infused movies like “Black Snake Moan” and “Hustle & Flow” would be interested in Footloose. In a statement back when the cast was announced Brewer said,
“I saw ‘Footloose’ in my hometown theater when...

I’m sure by now, everyone has seen the movie Animal House, or the hundreds of movies it spawned, like American Pie. Well, have you ever thought ‘gee, that would make a sweet show, but they should do it in the ‘80s, when everything was cooler?’ Well, if you did, then you should check out Glory Daze on TBS, starting Tuesday, the 17th, at 8 pm.
The show starts off introducing a few freshman to the campus, which fit the archetypes perfectly. We have the Asian, the jock, the geek and the guy trying to get laid. After a really funny scene with Brad Garrett as a parent, we get a scene to establish we are still in school with a hilarious professor played by Tim Meadows (SNL, Ladies Man). Finally, we get to the freshman trying to find a fraternity to pledge. They come upon what might as well be...
