Clayton Cannon
Clayton Cannon is an accomplished actor whose diverse roles across television and film highlight his broad range of talents and depth. Most recently, he completed filming for Season 17 of "Criminal Minds." His acting journey includes a standout performance in 2017 as Hank Martin in the short film "I We're Good," illustrating his skill in adding depth to characters within short narratives. His versatility shone through as Zeke Moore in the 2017 episode "Sympathy for the Goddess" of the acclaimed TV series "Lucifer," contributing a nuanced layer to its exploration of celestial and human themes. In 2016, Cannon's role as a Police Officer in "Pee-wee's Big Holiday" added to the film's comedic and adventurous essence. His ability to adapt to various genres was evident when he played Peterson in "Beverly Hills Christmas" (2015) and showcased his action skills as Cop #2 in the short film "Tactics" (2014). His recurring appearances on both HBO and Cinemax series have further distinguished him in the industry. Cannon's earlier roles include navigating romance and drama as Joe in "Black Tie Nights" (TV Series, 2005), and foundational performances in "Cottonmouth" (2001) and "Killing the Badge" (1999). Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to a diverse heritage with a father of Scottish and Native American (Cherokee) descent and a Puerto Rican mother, Clayton has two younger siblings. Influenced positively by his father, a figure who encouraged him to embrace various experiences, Clayton led an active childhood, engaging in numerous sports. His love for boxing was ignited after watching "Rocky II," leading to his victory in the "Houston, Texas National Silver Gloves Tournament" at 14. His father's encouragement also led him to explore dancing, resulting in a two-year dance scholarship with the Houston Ballet and performances with The Discovery Dance Group. Joining the US Marine Corps at 19, Clayton was stationed in an Infantry Unit out of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, where he joined the boxing team and boasted a record of 88-1. The Marines taught him the power of determination. After his service, he pursued theater studies at the University of Houston and began acting, eventually moving to Los Angeles to follow his acting passion. Now based in Los Angeles, Clayton Cannon continues to make his mark as a successful actor, recently taking on a supporting role in "Beverly Hills Christmas" alongside Dean Cain and appearing in a national commercial for Mercury Insurance.
