Larry the Cable Guy was born in Pawnee City, Nebraska, as Daniel Lawrence Whitney. He is an actor and producer, known for Cars (2006), Cars 2 (2011) and Cars 3 (2017). He is also an original member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He has been married to Cara Whitney since July 3, 2005. They have two children.

Dr. Chad Price at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida helped cure Larry's son, Wyatt, of hip dysplasia, while Wyatt was an infant. Following this, Larry and his Git-R-Done foundation donated $5 million to the International Hip Dysplasia Institute at the hospital in September, 2010.
