Shannon is a screenwriter from the North West of Ireland. Her work includes being in the writer's room for award-winning BBC drama Blue Lights, writing an episode of Cartoon Network/Warner Media series Goat Girl, and shadow writer on BBC-acquired New Zealand/Ireland thriller The Gone. Nominated for Galway Film Fleadh 'Bingham Ray New Talent' Award, Shannon's accolades include selection for BBC Writersroom Voices, reaching top 1% of 4,287 scripts for BBC Writersroom Open Call, development with RTÉ Storyland, Screen Ireland Spotlight TV Comedy, X-Pollinator, Virgin Media Discovers Final 30 and Best Screenplay Award Finalist at Catalyst Film Festival.
Shannon graduated with a First Class Honours MA in Screenwriting for Film & Television at National Film School IADT. She has worked in the film industry with Disney Ireland, Paramount Pictures France, Paramount Pictures Ireland, Dublin International Film Festival and Eclipse Pictures. Her latest crowdfunded short film, entirely shot and cast on a remote Irish island, premiered at the 35th Galway Film Fleadh.
