It officially premiered on Thursday. It features the classic format: a nine-by-nine grid of large squares that creates a giant tic-tac-toe board.

Inside each of those squares is a celebrity, with many of them comedians or actors.

Actress and daytime talk show host Drew Barrymore is the current resident of the famed center square.

The show also has a new host, with former NFL star and CBS Mornings host Nate Burleson following in the footsteps of Tom Bergeron, John Davidson, and Peter Marshall.

While some fans seemed to love the game show and Nate as the host, not all viewers seemed enthused by the rest of the Hollywood Squares cast.

“Saturday Night Live” premiered October 11, 1975 on NBC with a group of fresh-faced cast members known as the “Not Ready For Prime-Time Players.” None of those original stars lasted for more than five seasons, but they all made their mark on the late night sketch series that is still going strong five decades later.

Over the past 50 seasons (and counting), who are “SNL’s” longest-running cast members ever? Kenan Thompson currently holds the record at a whopping 22 seasons. Saturday Night Live’s landmark 50th season will kick off nearly over a month ahead of the 2024 presidential election with plenty of material for its cold opens and other political skits.

With Maya Rudolph returning to portray Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris, its likely that James Austin Johnson will portray Donald Trump and or Joe Biden in parodies of the candidates. Doug Emhoff (who has been portrayed in the past by Martin Short) and Vice President Tim Walz will also likely receive parodies, though Short’s Only Murders in the Building costar Steve Martin has declined the ask to portray Walz.

The first five consecutive SNL shows’ hosts and musical guests have been announced, and given the volume and talent of cast members over the years, a look back at political parodies by hosts, guests and members of the comedy ensemble can be found below.

Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is the latest miniseries set in a galaxy far, far away. The delightful show stars Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo as Sig Greebling, a nerf herder who accidentally rewrites all of time and space. Teaming up with Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan), the two head out on an adventure to make things right.

Matarazzo sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his excitement about the project, especially about appearing in the same show as Star Wars Legend Mark Hamill.

"I actually didn’t know Mark was going to be on board when they sent the project over, but it was still a no-brainer, initially," Matarazzo shared when asked about his feelings about being in the same cast. "I’m a Star Wars fiend, and so when I was approached, I was like, 'I don’t care if the script is dog [explicit]; I’m doing it.

Bobby Moynihan would love to do a live action Star Wars, and I'd love to see it. The Saturday Night Live actor mused about what kind of character he would want to portray and the answer may surprise you.

In a special on Disney+, via Comicbook.com, Moynihan discussed who he would want to play in a live action Star Wars. His Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy character, Jedi Bob, is a definitely choice. Though, he also shared his want to be an alien, saying, "I enjoy Star Wars acting -- I really want to do live-action Star Wars. I really want to play some sort of alien creature where you can't see my face -- a slug or something. My dream is live-action orca. Me in a live-action orca costume, shrunk down, that's my dream."

Indie streamer Dropout has set the full guest-star lineup for the second season of its Vic Michaelis-hosted comedic interview series “Very Important People.”

“Very Important People” features Michaelis as the host of a standard talk show series with a twist: all interview subjects receive makeovers before sitting down to chat and then must immediately invent a character to play during the interview.

Following the Aug. 14 announcement of the guest stars for the first eight episodes of “Very Important People” Season 2, which debuts Nov. 7, Dropout has confirmed that Episodes 9-16 will star Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”), Nicole Byer (“Nailed It!”), Echo Kellum (“Arrow”), Corin Wells (“A Black Lady Sketch Show”), Alex Song-Xia (“Rick & Morty”) and Paul Robalino (“Smarypants”).

Additionally, “Very Important People” Season 1 guests Brennan Lee Mulligan (“Dimension 20”), Izzy Roland (“Sex Lives of College Girls”) and Lisa Gilroy (“Glamorous”) will return in new roles.

The latest miniseries full of minifigs is here! Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy has arrived on Disney+ and is full of the hilarious antics that these specials have been known for. One of the series' main characters is Jedi Bob, voiced by Bobby Moynihan. Jedi Bob, whose full name is Bobarian Afol, is a relatively new character to being on screen in a galaxy far, far away, but his fan-made origins date back to the prequel trilogy.

The trailer for the mockumentary film Micro Budget features an array of notable comedy stars and launches ahead of the project’s festival debut later this month.

The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive first look at the promo teases the comedy feature from director and co-writer Morgan Evans. Brandon Micheal Hall, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Parnell and Patrick Noth star in Micro Budget, which centers on clueless father-to-be Terry (Noth), who moves with his pregnant wife to Los Angeles to shoot a low-budget disaster movie that he aims to sell to a streaming service for a big profit.

Rounding out the cast are Maria Bamford, Mike Mitchell, Neil Casey, Emilea Wilson, Nichole Sakura, Jordan Rock, Jon Gabrus and Hal Linden.

Disney has added the third Arendelle-set animated adventure to the film release calendar on Nov. 24, 2027. Both of the first two “Frozen” movies were also released around Turkey Day, on their way to becoming back-to-back $1 billion blockbusters.

The studio also planted a new Pixar movie, “Hoppers,” on the schedule for March 6, 2026. Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan will lead the voice cast of “Hoppers,” a body-swap comedy about a young girl who uses technology to understand the inner thoughts of animals.

The official date came days after Walt Disney Animation’s chief creative officer Jennifer Lee shared the first concept art for Frozen 3 at D23, where she also revealed it would arrive in cinemas sometime in 2027.

As previously announced, she confirmed a fourth film is also in the works.

The Frozen franchise has been a boon for Disney and a Thanksgiving staple; 2013’s Frozen, starring Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, earned $1.28 billion, while Frozen II (2019) brought in $1.45 billion.
