"It was definitely sad for a while, because you’re no longer hanging out with your buddy, your best mate. But I think being so busy has been a blessing, and we’re still in touch. Genuinely, it was a healthy separation. I was relieved there weren’t any stories about him doing this or that, as it’s just not him.

Minogue has worked on a synopsis with creative director William Baker and initial reports last year had indicated that the musical, featuring Minogue's hits, would open in the West End this year. The 44-year-old singer told the Evening Standard: "It actually took a bit of a back seat because so many other things are happening. But it's lurking. I think it's going to happen one way or another." She also revealed it isn't likely to be her next project after her K25 celebrations draw to a close. "It won't happen until I have got another album done. I was warned it would take a long time and now I'm understanding that." (more)...

Kylie Minogue steals the spotlight and keeps it for herself when she takes the center stage in a music video for her latest single "Better Than Today". Her performance looks even better with the support of the well-arranged lights, outfits, dancers and visuals.
"Better Than Today" serves as the third single from "Aphrodite", Kylie's first studio album since 2007 "X". Its music video is directed by Minogue herself with the help from William Baker.
A divine collection of pop treasures and club-ready anthems, the album has arrived in the United States since July this year and is led by uplifting track "All the Lovers". Of her choice to continue celebrating her dance root in the effort, she said, "I feel like it's spreading joy. Which is the best thing I could ever have wished for."...

She tells Black Book magazine, "I would like to get a couple of writers involved. I think we'll probably co-direct it."
Recently, Minogue also revealed that she planned to celebrate the five years of her freedom from cancer. "It actually makes me almost lose my breath because it's such a big deal. I will definitely be celebrating but it's going to be such a mixture of emotions. Australian superstar Kylie Minogue is to follow in the footsteps of Abba, Queen and the Spice Girls by turning her hits into a showstopping musical. Abba's iconic tracks were transformed into hugely popular stageshow "Mamma Mia!", which was later adapted for the big screen with Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried in the starring roles.
The music of Queen became "We Will Rock You", and the Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fuller confirmed earlier this year work has began on a musical telling the story of the girlgroup's rise to fame. Now Minogue, who has enjoyed a career spanning three decades, is planning to take her own songs to the theatre - she's teaming up with stylist-turned-West End art director William Baker to create a musical.
