Was Raj meant to stay single in the end of The Big Bang Theory? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
While The Big Bang Theory fans cheered for Leonard, Penny, Sheldon, and Amy, Raj stayed single, and not everyone was thrilled. But according to Kunal Nayyar, that ending was exactly how it needed to be.
In Jessica Radloff’s The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive Insider Story Of The Epic Hit Series, Nayyar defended Raj’s lonely finale with some real heart. “I thought it was very astute that the one person who wanted love so badly realizes maybe he needs to love himself first. It doesn’t have to come through someone else, and that’s a very lovely way to end a character’s storyline,” he said (via Screenrant). Nayyar also pointed out Raj’s growth across the seasons, adding, “He grew so much in those last few seasons as a character,...

The Big Bang Theory received critical acclaim during its twelve-season run. The series was praised for the performances of its cast, led by Jim Parsons, with his story arc as Sheldon Cooper being universally loved. However, one supporting character, who grew increasingly important in the later seasons, remains divisive among the fanbase.

However, fans have conflicted feelings about the direction his story went in, with many misunderstanding the character completely. Here is what most fans get wrong about Stuart’s arc in The Big Bang Theory.

In the series finale of "Young Sheldon" — the first major spin-off of "The Big Bang Theory" that wonders "what if Sheldon, but young?" — we see the on-screen return of "old Sheldon" as played by original "Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons. We also hear about one of Sheldon's dearest friends, Penny Hofstadter, played on Chuck Lorre's massively popular CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," by Kaley Cuoco. Specifically, we learn that Penny babysits Sheldon and Amy's kids.
Executive producer Steve Holland spoke to Variety after the episode aired to discuss why they chose to mention Penny over Sheldon's other friends from "The Big Bang Theory," including Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), or even Penny's husband (and Sheldon's best friend) Leonard Hofstadter, played by Johnny Galecki. "We didn't want to go with the whole cast," Holland explained. "And we also wanted to keep it on Sheldon and Amy and their kids' relationship,...

Top most watched episodes from The Big Bang Theory(Photo Credit –Facebook)
From the moment Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, and Howard first stepped onto the screen, fans showed up and stayed for twelve unforgettable seasons. Looking back at each season’s most-watched episodes, it was clear what the audience craved the most: laughs, lovable weirdness, and a whole lot of heart.
Even though The Big Bang Theory came from sitcom king Chuck Lorre who had hits like Roseanne, Dharma and Greg, and Two and a Half Men under his belt, this one still managed to catch everyone off guard with how big it got. Especially when it hit season 3, and the show turned into a full-blown phenomenon.
In a TV world where multi-camera sitcoms with laugh tracks were starting to look “old school” (thanks to the rise of Malcolm in the Middle and Scrubs), The Big Bang Theory doubled down on tradition and won big.

To answer the question in the headline of this article, the short answer is: yes. Jim Parsons actually taught himself how to play the theremin for "The Big Bang Theory."
In the episode "The Bus Pants Utilization", the lead characters gather together to invent an app that lets users solve differential equations. Such an app, they figure, is specialized enough that no one else has published one yet, and they begin to have fantasies about potential wealth and fame. Sheldon, however, begins to fantasize that their roommate Penny (Kaley Cuoco) might be angling to steal their idea, even though she clearly wants nothing to do with it. Sheldon also becomes preoccupied with their team's command structure and who the leader might be. He becomes caty, cruel, and vindictive, making fun of his teammates to assert his leadership over them.
Sheldon is eventually, understandably, kicked off the team. As revenge, he...

We're a few years removed from its ending, but "New Girl" had a very healthy run on Fox, airing seven seasons from 2011 to 2018. The vast majority of those 146 episodes centered on Zooey Deschanel's hijinks as Jess in her loft apartment in Los Angeles alongside her roommates, Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfiled), and Winston (Lamorne Morris).
The apartment in question is, in some ways, the typical sitcom apartment, much like the ones from "Friends," in that it seems far too expensive for the characters to actually afford. But this is television, after all, and it doesn't have to obey the laws of reality. Still, for fans of the show, it's probably worth wondering how much Jess and the gang would have had to pay to actually live in that apartment. Los Angeles is famously one of the most expensive cities in the U.

Roseanne is certainly one of the most underrated series from Chuck Lorre’s vast career. Although he has been behind shows like The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and Dharma & Greg, which have gone on to make great reputations for themselves, there are also lesser-known gems that many do not know about.
The series has an exceptional cast of familiar and unfamiliar actors, ranging from Johnny Galecki and Laurie Metcalf from Tbbt to Roseanne Barr and John Goodman. Although the series did not do as well as his other works, it seems to be a lot more personal to Lorre’s real life.
This is best seen in an interview that the producer gave, where he talked about an episode that was very personal to him.
Roseanne and family conflicts
The feelings of pride and financial struggle being tied together are very rarely explored in sitcoms.

Of the three sitcoms in "The Big Bang Theory" universe, "Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage" is easily the least nerdiest. The show centers around Montana Jordan and Emily Osment's titular newlyweds as they work blue-collar jobs and raise their baby in Texas, never discussing science, "Star Trek," or any of the other subjects Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and his buddies are interested in. Sheldon doesn't feature in the latest spin-off either, which gives the show an advantage, according to co-creator Steve Holland in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"This is the first time in 18 years that we're not writing for Sheldon, and Sheldon's a great character and I'm so proud to have been a part of writing that character, but this is a different show. I don't have to keep Googling science facts anymore or trying to pretend that I know what I'm talking about."
Holland added that "Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage...

Having his breakthrough with The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons has become one of the most successful and avid actors to grace the television screens. However, before he found his passion for acting and performing, the actor was on a path to become a weatherman.
Parsons previously opened up about what inspired him to pursue a career as a weatherman and why he eventually decided to switch careers, which led him to the Emmy-winning sitcom.

Throughout Young Sheldon, the fans have come across certain memorable characters who were important in Sheldon Cooper’s growth in the show. McKenna Grace’s Paige Swanson, a child prodigy like Sheldon, was such a character. Many fans were dissatisfied when the fan-favorite Sheldon rival never got her deserved farewell.
After Young Sheldon ended with its seventh season last year, many fans felt that McKenna Grace should have gotten a more ideal ending. Some popular theories also suggested a dark fate for Paige Swanson. But one of the showrunners, Steve Holland, confirmed that Grace’s absence from the final season had nothing to do with CBS but her storyline in the show.

When Joe Apollonio, the 33-year-old New York internet comic with a wild coif of reddish hair, names River Phoenix as one of his favorite actors, it all makes sense. They have a similar countercultural vibe — not to mention fashionably unkempt hairstyle — and a hunger to take on roles that scare them, and often put their own autobiography front and center.
“I get shit sometimes from my friends for not watching certain movies,” Apollonio told IndieWire at a brewery in Bryant Park (though Apollonio is five years sober). “I would say that I’m a huge fan of River Phoenix’s work and Gus Van Sant’s work. And then also movies that Michael Pitt’s been in the 2000s, like ‘The Dreamers.’ I would say those are the two actors that I look up to the most. Interestingly enough, they’re not comedians.”

Fans love candid moments, especially when they make it onto their television screens. Years after The Big Bang Theory ended, many viewers have noticed one such moment in the show’s final season. It happens during the episode where Sheldon and Amy dress up as Howard and Bernadette.
This was Sheldon’s way of getting back at Howard, who had earlier impersonated him. However, what really stood out was Mayim Bialik’s spot-on impression of Bernadette. Her performance was so convincing that Johnny Galecki (Leonard) almost broke character trying to hold back laughter.

Meanwhile, Connor (Dougie Baldwin) is keeping a secret from his family.
In the episode, titled "TV Money", Mandy begins to pay her father's rent after discovering that she was described as "unappreciative." Mandy points out that she works two jobs as a young mother, but Jim notes that she's irresponsible with money. Meanwhile, Audrey accuses her husband of spoiling her rotten. We have found our original owner of the Mockingjay pin. Lionsgate has announced that Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) has been cast as Maysilee Donner in the upcoming adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The casting announcement comes just a day after Joseph Zada was cast as Haymitch Abernathy. That announcement also came with the casting of Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird. Maysilee, in the Hunger Games prequel released last month, is one of the other tributes from District 12 opposite Haymitch Abernathy for the 50th Hunger Games or the Second Quarter Quell.

Sheldon Cooper has been one of the most iconic characters to come out of The Big Bang Theory. However, the series often undermines his potential, particularly when it comes to showcasing his intellect beyond the confines of pure academia.
From the very beginning, the show establishes Sheldon’s goal of earning the prestigious award, which he finally achieves in the series finale alongside his wife, Amy, for their groundbreaking work on Super Asymmetry. But had it not been for one significant character flaw, Sheldon might have earned that Nobel Prize much earlier.
How The Big Bang Theory made Sheldon Cooper financially clueless
Jim Parsons‘ The Big Bang Theory character, Sheldon Cooper, has many quirks, from his obsession with his designated spot on the couch to his iconic triple knock. But one of the most persistent traits emphasized throughout the series is his unusual disinterest in money.

Prior to finding his footing in The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons’ onscreen presence was limited to commercials and smaller gigs in other TV shows and movies. Not only did Chuck Lorre’s Tbbt propel him to stardom, in addition to mainstream success, the actor also secured four Emmy wins and a Golden Globe accolade for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper.
But before he considered the project, the actor confused Lorre with another notable TV personality and was largely under the impression that it was a game show.

The inimitable Annie Potts plays the role of young Sheldon Cooper's (Iain Armitage) grandmother, Connie "Meemaw" Tucker, in the "Big Bang Theory" spin-off prequel "Young Sheldon." Because the older version of the character (June Squibb) is a fairly prominent presence on "The Big Bang Theory" and Potts therefore had ample material to draw from, one might assume that she studied Squibb's work on the original show quite faithfully in order to find out what Meemaw was made of.
However, Potts opted to go another route. She didn't take cues from Squibb's performance -- and, as it turns out, she had a very good reason for this decision. In a 2024 interview with Den of Geek, Potts revealed that she chose to ignore the "Big Bang Theory" version of Meemaw and focus instead on what "Young Sheldon" wanted to convey. Despite being incompatible in the beginning, given Leonard’s initial creepiness and Penny’s insecurities, the duo did prove to be the most endearing couple of The Big Bang Theory. When The Big Bang Theory debuted in 2007, Sara Gilbert frequently appeared on the show as Dr. Leslie Winkle. But over time, the character just faded away with little explanation.
During an appearance on The Official Big Bang Theory Podcast, Gilbert explained why she thinks Leslie slowly disappeared from the sitcom. "I think the writers kind of hit a wall with the character, probably also because she leaves these dynamics quickly, you know, then kind of like, well, what do you do now?," she said. The characters in The Big Bang Theory have always been polarizing, as some fans adore them, while others point out their more problematic traits. But there are two characters that fans almost universally despise, right from their very first appearance. And honestly, it’s hard to argue with that opinion.
I’m talking about Greg Pemberton and Kevin Campbell, played by the incredibly talented Sean Astin and Kal Penn. And let me tell you, even six years later, just thinking about their scenes in The Big Bang Theory still boils my blood.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1 Episode 17 was the funniest episode of the series in a while.
The comedy is enjoyable most of the time, but it’s not usually doubled-over-in-laughter funny. It’s usually more quietly humorous.
“Two Idiots On A Dirt Bike” was the exception, and as much as I enjoyed it, I couldn’t help worrying about Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage when I realized how much funnier this episode was than many others.

Georgie has reset himself from caring father to concerned big brother in Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 1, episode 17, "Two Idiots on a Dirt Bike." Missy has gotten herself into a lick of trouble, and it's with her boyfriend, Todd.
Teenagers and dirt bikes don't mix well, so naturally, it causes both a stir in the Cooper and McAllister households. Mary is at her wits' end with Missy, as the teenager has entered her rebellious stage. Georgie is summoned to help with the situation, and I gather that will stress him and Mandy to a point where Missy will eventually be given a strict talking-to from her brother.
To make the situation worse, Missy and Todd are riding off to Mexico to get married. For one thing, she's only 15 and a minor, so it's going to be challenging for them to meet their goal. If Missy has any common sense,...

Mary is at her wits' end with Missy, as the teenager has entered her rebellious stage. Georgie is summoned to help with the situation, and I gather that will stress him and Mandy to a point where Missy will eventually be given a strict talking-to from her brother.

The Big Bang Theory wasn’t just a sitcom; it was a cultural phenomenon that turned four quirky scientists into household names. Moreover, it became one of the most beloved shows out there, and fans were absolutely bummed when it ended after season 12.
But did you know that the cast, especially the four leads, could have earned a staggering sum if the show had continued further? But all thanks to Jim Parsons, who brought the know-it-all Sheldon Cooper to life, this dream crashed before it could even take off.
The Big Bang cast would have made $200 million if Jim Parsons had stayed
The Big Bang Theory can easily be one of the biggest shows in television history, with characters that are still perfectly engraved in fans’ hearts. This popularity also meant that the gang earned some serious paychecks.

A star of the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai has announced their sudden retirement from acting after more than two decades. Courtney Henggeler, who starred in the Karate Kid spin-off as Amanda Larusso, the wife of Ralph Macchio’s Daniel Larusso, throughout all six seasons of Cobra Kai, took to Substack to announce that she is “tapping out” of the industry and no longer wants “to be a cog in the wheel of the machine.”
“After 20 plus years of fighting the good fight in the acting business, I hung up my gloves on Friday. I called my agents and told them I was tapping out. I no longer wanted to be a cog in the wheel of the machine. When prompted to know what I did want to do, I simply replied “I want to be the machine”

Georgie wants to become a father again in Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 1, episode 16, "Baby Fight," after experiencing the joy of having CeeCee and seeing life through her eyes. I can't blame the guy, as fatherhood has been kind to him and helped shape Georgie's maturity.
He wants to have that feeling all over again, but by the laws of nature, it takes two to procreate. Mandy isn't on board with having another child just yet, and her decision caused friction within the family. However, her behavior and commentary could've gone in a more positive light, as she came off as immature and self-absorbed. While she does have a meritable say in parenting and whether going through another pregnancy is right for her, her current situation reflects differently from her first one.
Mandy wants a flourishing broadcasting career, but she feels like she won't be able to have that if she's pregnant.

Trying to be successful in any creative industry can be incredibly rewarding, but if the opportunities aren't coming in, it can also be deeply frustrating. At what point are you still holding on because you've put so much time and energy into a career that isn't providing results? It appears this dilemma has weighed on the mind of "Cobra Kai" actor Courtney Henggeler for some time now.
In a Substack post from the end of March, Henggeler officially announced that, after 20 years of being an actor, she's stepping away from the industry. "I called my agents and told them I was tapping out. I no longer wanted to be a cog in the wheel of the machine," Henggeler wrote. She went on to describe the longing that came with being patient in the hopes that one day she would reap the benefits hoisted over every actor's head:
"We survived off the crumbs.

It’s not easy being a boy genius in a small East Texas town, and especially so for Sheldon Lee Cooper (Iain Armitage), the quirkily observant and socially awkward protagonist of Young Sheldon, the spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory.
“I’m having a hard time adjusting to Earth,” Sheldon matter-of-factly tells the librarian at the local high school where he’s just started classes at the ripe age of 9. He may be a prodigy in science and math, but he’s got an equally remarkable talent for saying and doing exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. Sheldon’s interior life, rendered in a reflective adult voice-over (à la The Wonder Years andStand By Me) by Jim Parsons, is just as witty and...

As The Voice brought its Season 27 Knockouts to a close Monday evening, five more contestants were issued mic-drop moments — as in “Drop the mic and go.” Losing one would-be winner in particular really bummed me out, too, especially after the performance that she’d just given. "The Big Bang Theory" came to a close after 12 seasons and the same number of years in May of 2019, and just like that, stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Kaley Cuoco, Melissa Rauch, and Mayim Bialik — who played Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Howard Wolowitz, Raj Koothrappali, Penny Hofstadter, Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, and Amy Farrah Fowler, respectively — were finished with the roles they'd inhabited for years. Ultimately, the story of "The Big Bang Theory" ends happily; Sheldon and Amy win a joint Nobel Prize in physics for their groundbreaking work in super-asymmetry, and despite a few speedbumps, all of Sheldon's friends go to Stockholm to support him during the ceremony. So, what did Parsons think of the finale?

“Night Court” star Melissa Rauch will reunite with her “Big Bang Theory” co-star Simon Helberg, who is set to guest star in the NBC comedy’s Season 3 finale airing May 6 at 8:30 p.m. Et/Pt.
The finale will see Abby (Rauch) in charge of runaway teens who are determined to be married. Meanwhile, Dan (John Larroquette) and Julianne (Wendie Malick) balk at the idea that they’ve become friends and a surprise appearance by a mysterious stranger turns Abby’s world upside down.
Helberg will appear in a “game-changing” cameo that is expected to shake things up for Abby, while “Young Sheldon” star Raegan Revord will portray teenage runaway Shelby, who is inclined to marry her soulmate, in an homage to the iconic Michael J. Fox episode from the original “Night Court.”

Bernadette and Howard Wolowitz are officially getting back together! Night Court's upcoming Season 3 finale on May 6 will be a big one with back-to-back episodes welcoming Melissa Rauch's Big Bang Theory partner, Simon Helberg, to the Manhattan Municipal Court. He's not the only member of the wider Big Bang universe to be swinging by for some zany courtroom antics, though, as Raegan Revford, best known for playing Sheldon Cooper's sister Missy on Young Sheldon and, more recently, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, will also have a major role to play in the final episode. Rounding things out is the return of original series veteran Marsha Warfield once more as Roz Russell for the first of the two episodes, ensuring that the season will adjourn with a bang.
Exactly who Helberg will be playing remains a mystery, but the cameo is being described as a potential "game-changer" for Rauch's Judge Abby Stone.

Television writer and producer Chuck Lorre has helped create quite a few successful sitcoms, with "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men" (both of which aired on the CBS network) arguably being his most popular ones. But as often as "The Big Bang Theory" crossed over with its prequel show, "Young Sheldon," actors from the former didn't pop up as much on "Two and a Half Men" (and vice versa), perhaps in large part due to the series' somewhat different tones. Be that as it may, there was one "Two and a Half Men" veteran who made an appearance on "Young Sheldon," and she was a perfect fit for the bittersweet coming-of-age family comedy.
That would be a reference to Melanie Lynskey, who absolutely f****** rules. The "Yellowjackets" and "The Last of Us" veteran starred on "Two and a Half Men" as Rose, a terrifying and manipulative...

Filming a multi-camera sitcom with a live studio audience is probably pretty fun, and when it comes to Chuck Lorre's hit CBS series "The Big Bang Theory," the cast has been pretty clear over the years that one (very good) episode in season 7 was particularly delightful to film.

Actor Lance Barber can be a little bit of a prankster. The performer, who portrays not only the absolutely deranged dad Bill Ponderosa on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" but also the heartwarming patriarch of the Cooper clan on "Young Sheldon," had planned on playing some pranks on his castmates during one of the saddest scenes on "Young Sheldon" -- his character George Sr.'s funeral.
"Young Sheldon" is quite a bit different from its source series, "The Big Bang Theory," eschewing the multi-cam format and live laughter for something a bit more personal and dramatic, but that didn't always stop the cast from cutting up on set. When it came to the funeral, however, Barber's plans for pranks were cut short by his own emotional reaction to the scene itself.

Missy has gone missing once again in the next episode of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Episode 17, titled "Two Idiots on a Dirt Bike," will have three families concerned about Missy's whereabouts as she ran away with a boy, and it's up to Georgie to find her.
In the latest sneak peek, Georgie receives a phone call from his mother, Mary, and Todd's mother, Beth. He, and eventually, Mandy, are informed that Missy (Raegan Revord) ran away with Todd to go to Mexico to get married, which worries Mary and Beth. The teaser led to a funny phone call exchange, with Georgie swapping lines constantly, which makes sense since the show takes place in the 90s when technology was limited and before group chats and calls with more than two people existed.

Chuck Lorre has created some of the best known comedies around! There's so many familiar titles when you look at his list of work, and it's very impressive to see. One of the biggest ones of course is The Big Bang Theory (Tbbt), which has become a full-fledged franchise now with the original series, prequel shows Young Sheldon and Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, and now even a spin-off that could get the green light at Max called Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.
Though Lorre is known for other shows as well. Some are a hit, and some are a miss for various reasons. So if you're a fan of the creator and want to know which ones are worth your time and which ones aren't, you've come to the right place. Here's 3 Chuck Lorre shows to watch and 3 to skip.

The early stages of development on "The Big Bang Theory" were a total mess. The original unaired pilot, for instance, had a different actor playing Penny before Kaley Cuoco came aboard. There was also no sign of Raj (Kunal Nayyar) or Howard (Simon Helberg), and even Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) apartment looked darker and more depressing. The final "Big Bang Theory" pilot we're all familiar with was the result of countless focus group screenings and many rewrites.
One particularly important revision involved Leonard and Sheldon's friend/co-worker Gilda (Iris Bahr). Whereas Penny was rewritten and recast after the unaired pilot, the Gilda character was erased from the series entirely. It's hard to argue with the choice, though, as Gilda's presence would've dramatically changed the way Sheldon came across. Indeed, in the unaired pilot, it's established that Sheldon and Gilda had sex at some point, a revelation...

Jim Parsons’ early days on the block, as it happens with budding actors, were filled only with appearances in a handful of commercials and some indie films. Mainstream success seemed like a distant dream until 2007, when The Big Bang Theory would change everything. Now, he’s become one of the richest actors on TV.

Parsons found his love for performing at an early age – his first major acting moment was playing the Kola-Kola bird in a school production of The Elephant Child. Little did his teachers know then that this young performer, influenced by the likes of Family Ties and The Cosby Show, would one day command one of the highest salaries in the history of television.

Although Max's The Big Bang Theory spin-off, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, has been in development for years and still has yet to receive an official green light, Warner Bros. Television's Chairperson and CEO Channing Dungey is feeling positive about where the series is going. A third The Big Bang Theory spinoff is currently deep in development at Warner Bros. Television. While Max isn't quite ready to pull the trigger and greenlight Stuart Fails to Save the Universe yet, the proposed spinoff has received a promising update.
Warner Bros. Television Group CEO Channing Dungey touched on the status of Sftstu during her expansive interview with Deadline, noting that the team behind the spinoff remains "hard at work writing stuff, and Zak [Penn] and Bill [Prady] are working. We’ve seen some material at the studio, and we’ve had some creative conversations with Max, so we are hopeful for good news soon." Dungey also reveals that the scripts she has already read are "creative, they are imaginative, and they are, most importantly, very, very funny."
