Known for her performance in movies like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Pardes’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, and several others, veteran actress Himani Shivpuri reminisced about her childhood memories of trekking with her friends and cousins, and shared how during exploring the mountains, they used to sing local ‘Pahadi’ songs.
On the International Mountain Day, Himani shared her deep connection with the mountains.
She said: “Mountains are like a hidden treasure. My hometown, Dehradun, nestled in the hills of Uttarakhand, feels like a piece of heaven. Its snow-capped peaks, soothing river sounds, and delicious food make it a paradise for nature enthusiasts.”
Himani said that Dehradun is a gateway to many stunning hill towns in Uttarakhand, making it a travel hub.
“In my childhood, I spent most of my time trekking with my cousins and friends, discovering the calm beauty and breathing in the fresh mountain air.
