Richard's childhood was consumed by the arts, flourishing in drawing, painting, sculpting and music. During his bachelors Richard was introduced to the world of video art and editing, which he immediately took too as it is the ultimate culmination of all things art - images, sound, music and most importantly story all come together in an amazing inspiring package that he could manifest, control and mold as a director, writer and cinematographer. It was love at first sight.
After completion of his masters degree from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles California, he found success with films such as The Wretched Prologue, Sunnyvale, and his thesis film Hinnon Valley. That success gained him acceptance in well over fifty film festivals and earning around thirty awards for his works. His film Hinnon Valley acquired distribution playing on DirecTV and Amazon - rare for a short film, especially in 2012. Over the last decade plus he's had an active career as a director, writer and cinematographer on commercials, features, music videos, shorts, and documentaries.
In 2014 Richard was honored to be named to the Top 100 in HBO's Project Greenlight Competition. His feature film directorial debuted This Land has just been released worldwide on all major VOD platforms by Terror Films on March 2023. Richard has also been commissioned to write many scripts including Fast Lane, The Demeter, Art of Death, and Brothel for various independent producers over the past few years. His script Lost The Night was also optioned by Therapy Pictures with Richard attached to helm it.
As of 2023 Richard is in the development stage on numerous projects such as Art of Death and the Sci-fi horror film The Grid, written by Richard and is also set to direct. He is also in development on The Chimera Project series with good friend and colleague Brooklyn Hudson.
