Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff of Krasnoff/Foster Entertainment are producing in addition to Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan of Bosque Ranch, David C.

Update (4/4): The Sex Pistols cook up an explosive concoction of incredibly marketable anarchy for a disaffected generation in the new short trailer for Pistol. The clip doesn’t offer too much in the way of plot points, but sets a distinct tone as the budding punk outfit and their peers rail against Britain’s monarchy and dream of causing mayhem in London. The show is set to premiere May 31 on Hulu.

It Had To Be You screens Friday, November 13th at 7:00pm at The Tivoli Theater as part of this year’s St. louis International Film Festival. Ticket information can be found Here
It Had To Be You is a very, very average movie elevated by the sheer likability of Cristin Milioti. Nothing in the movie is particularly groundbreaking, no envelopes are pushed, but Milioti radiates. She isn’t exactly new on the acting scene; she got her initial exposure (of note) being way too good for the last season of How I Met Your Mother, then a too-brief role in “Wolf of Wall Street,” but here she is carrying an entire movie on the back of her screen presence and charm.
The rest of the movie is perfectly fine, save the person-shaped section of drywall they cast as the male lead. The cast as a whole is mostly solid,...

There were quite a few other movies I wished I was watching instead of The Nameless at various points during its runtime. The one that came to mind most was Ti West’s “House of the Devil.” That and other movies like it built tension with the sort of minimalist horror that “The Nameless” would have been much better off working with. It’s one of a few different ways the filmmakers could have gone with the movie that would have been a lot more effective than what they ended up with.
The initial premise is based around the real-life event that inspired “The Exorcist.” It apparently was even shot in the real house. That alone could make for a thoroughly interesting story,...

The New Girlfriend is the sort of middle-brow, forgettable movie you’d stumble upon while watching Showtime in the mid 90’s. It has what it views as a tantalizing hook, seems to know very little about it, but thinks that knowing about it at all is enough. With the movie’s particular hook, cross-dressing, that probably Would have been enough in the mid 90s. But that was 20 years ago.
I’m not really in a position to delve into a movie from the perspective of trans issues. It’s not an experience I know well enough to speak from. But the main characters agreeing that “gay is less embarrassing than tranny” even had me cringe a little. This isn’t a movie I’d throw under the “transphobic” label, because in the end it seems to be on the side of David/Virginia being alright after all,...

If nothing else, Tangerine achieves something I’ve been hoping to see for years; the film stars two transgendered characters, but the story isn’t About them being transgendered. Their gender identity isn’t their entire being, it doesn’t consume their entire lives, and isn’t the central inciting factor for the story told about them. That alone makes Sin-Dee and Alexandra two of the most realistic, fleshed out trans characters I’ve seen in a movie.
The movie as a whole could’ve done with a lot more of them. Both the characters and their actresses (Kitana Kiki Rodriguez and Mya Taylor, respectively) give their scenes a lot of energy and vibrancy, and it sort of dies off whenever they’re not on screen. Like whenever the cab driver’s story is the focus. I’m going to forget about the cab driver for a bit,...

Steve Jones has shared details about his two very untraditional weddings with Us model Phylicia Jackson.
The TV presenter - who returns to screens with E4 dating show Young, Free & Single: Live on Monday (August 10) - told Digital Spy that he and Jackson married in London before being given away by an Elvis Presley impersonator at a second Las Vegas ceremony on Independence Day.
"I feel calmer now I'm married," he said. "I love married life, if I knew then what I do now I might have done it before. But then again, that means that I wouldn't be married to Phylicia. But I love it - I've been married twice, by the way."
Sharing details of the couple's two weddings, the 38-year-old continued: "We got married in Mayfair in London, and then her parents couldn't make it, so we got married in Las Vegas a month ago.

“Hey, did you hear about this family that kept all the kids inside? Apparently they only related to the outside world through movies.”
“Oh? That sounds weird, what else about them?”
“…nothing, really, just thought it was interesting.”
This is the vibe I got watching Crystal Moselle’s The Wolfpack. To be fair, the subject Is really interesting. The Angulo brothers were kept in an apartment on New York’s lower east side, forbidden to leave. Everything they know of the world outside is through movies they watch. For her directorial debut, Moselle immediately shows a good eye for subject matter. I just don’t know that she quite has the hang of saying anything about the subject matter.
There are aspects of the story that could’ve been fascinating. Their father, the driving force behind the family’s isolation, is seen only in archival footage for a while.

The 100-year-old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared is the sort of movie that’s difficult to write about. It leaves so little impression that there’s just not much to say. It’s a thoroughly middle of the road movie, with any outright flaws offset by the technical competence of the production. That it is now one of, if not the highest grossing films in its native country is a little perplexing, as it reminds me of one of those movies that someone mentions ten years later and you respond with “ohhhh yeah, I kinda remember that!” Like “Second-Hand Lions.”
“Second-Hand Lions” is actually the movie this reminded me of the most, with the elderly misadventures and things actually happening in the present-day plot. They were obviously going for a “Forrest Gump” feel, and there are definite traces of that as well, but fell far short.

Here’s a weird one. I’m not sure quite what I expected going into it, but it’s basically a late 70’s Animals Attack movie filtered through a bleak European art-house sensibility. Dogs by way of Au Hasard Balthazar. Or maybe Rise of the Planet of the Apes but with a little magical realism instead of science fiction drugs. I realize that using movie titles so much in the description might make it feel like a retread, but I promise you there is nothing else out there like this movie right now.
The story is simple, a girl goes to stay with her dad, her dog doesn’t fit in, so the dad dumps it. Much sadness ensues for both girl and dog. The final act is something I would normally refrain from talking about, but it’s pretty much the selling point of the...

An Islamic extremist group (not verbally identified as Isil, but the flag is unmistakable) has taken control of a small town in Timbuktu. A group is arrested for playing music, now outlawed in the town. While receiving her punishment of 80 lashes, the woman in the group sings. If this isn’t the most powerful moment in Timbuktu, it’s definitely the most indicative of what makes it a great film. The primary story of the cattle herder and the killing of his favorite cow has sincerely moving moments, but the town and the occupying extremists’ interaction are what carry the film. Some try to reason with them, to varying degrees of success. Others argue, one woman laughs as she stands in front of their car, blocking their way. The herder’s family is outright dismissive; they live outside of the town, spared their wrath until the...

Although by the late 1970s Richard Burton's reputation was based more on his hard-drinking and turbulent marriages, he was still capable of demonstrating his powers as a dangerous and magnetic performer. Arguably by this time he had lost some of his former box-office draw and was taking roles in horror films like Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) and The Medusa Touch to pay the bills, yet he was still a mesmerising screen presence and in this film can even command the attention of the audience whilst lying on a hospital bed in a coma.
The Medusa Touch is set in London and begins with a murder. In the opening scene we see renowned author John Morlar (Richard Burton) watching news of a space shuttle disaster on TV. Within seconds he is being bludgeoned to death by a blunt instrument. It is something of a shock to see...

Normal 0 false false false En-us X-none X-none
A mysterious Englishman with mystical powers, a sexy wife, a game of cricket and an insane asylum. In different hands these elements could have been combined to make an Amicus portmanteau film in the style of Tales From the Crypt or Asylum. In the hands of I, Claudius author Robert Graves and Palme d'Or-winning Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski it becomes a strange, hypnotic and fragmented tale that unsettles and confuses in equal measure.
Alan Bates, who could give Richard Burton a run for his money in the "brooding intensity" stakes, plays Crossley, a disheveled yet charismatic wanderer who bursts uninvited into the lives of Anthony and Rachel with devastating consequences. Anthony (John Hurt) is a Radiophonic Workshop-style musician who spends most of his time recording unusual noises and manipulating tape decks.

The panel show that would make Pinocchio fairly flustered returns for an eighth series. Fiona Bruce, Claudia Winkleman, Steve Jones and Micky Flanagan join the regulars this evening, and will all have to tell (or pretend to tell) outrageously tall tales in an attempt to hoodwink the other team.
Who performed a striptease at a boring hen do? Who saved P Diddy's life? Did either of these things actually happen? Find out tonight.
Celebrity Big Brother: Live Final: Channel 5, 9pm
The eventful series will finally come to a close tonight, with Emma Willis on hand to crown the celebrity winner. Expect snap interviews, countless boos, and runners-up who will try (and probably fail) not to look too gutted.
Tyrant: Fox UK, 9pm

After being introduced to Dana Fredsti’s take on the zombie apocalypse last year in the form of Plague Town and Plague Nation (read my review here), I’ve been looking forward to the concluding part of the trilogy and I’m happy to report that I haven’t been disappointed.
Picking up right where Plague Nation left off, our heroine Ashley Parker is plunged straight into a battle with the undead, Fredsti launching into her trademark breakneck pace that doesn’t let up until the end of the book. As the title suggests, the zombie plague has progressed from its initial outbreak in Redwood Grove (a la Racoon City), via the whole of America, and now to the rest of the world, having finally gone airborne.
Ashley’s story is focused on San Francisco, where she and the rest of her Wild Card team – people who have survived zombie...
