Parkour! Who’s ready to clock back in for a follow-up to The Office? The upcoming series from former Office showrunners Greg Daniels and Michael Koman premieres this September. Titled The Paper, the new mockumentary comedy series follows the publisher (Domhnall Gleeson) and staff of a historic but struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio. Peacock released a first look image from the upcoming comedy on Monday, featuring Domhnall Gleeson going full “Oh, Captain! My Captain!”. In contrast, Oscar Nuñez, who will reprise his Office role as Oscar Martinez, looks on in confusion.
“Greg heard me and moved Oscar to Toledo, Ohio, which has three times the population of Scranton,” Nuñez said about his hopes of moving Oscar to a “more cosmopolitan environment” on stage Monday at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation. “So it’s nice to be heard.”
“It’s about this struggling Midwestern newspaper that’s much reduced from its glory days,...

The next series in the Office world officially has a title — and a premiere date.
The show, in which the documentary crew from The Office lands on a new subject, is called The Paper. It follows the publisher (Domhnall Gleeson) and staff of a historic but struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio.
The series, from former Office showrunner Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, is set to premiere in September. Peacock also released the first image from the series, which also shows Oscar Nuñez, who will reprise his role as Oscar Martinez from the earlier series.
Nuñez, Gleeson and co-star Sabrina Impacciatore appeared on stage Monday at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation to advertisers, and Nuñez related that he talked with Daniels that post-The Office, he imagined Oscar moving to a more cosmopolitan environment.
“Greg heard me and moved Oscar to Toledo, Ohio, which has three times the population of Scranton,” Nuñez said.

The Office Cast Returns(Photo Credit –Prime Video)
Well, well, well, The Office might just be opening its doors again, and Dunder Mifflin fans are buzzing louder than Kevin’s chili pot hitting the floor. After years of rumors, awkward silences, and hopeful glances at NBCUniversal, the reboot is officially in motion over at Peacock. Yes, the same place your favorite paper-pushing chaos now lives after its Netflix exit heartbreak. While the original show clocked out in 2013, it’s stayed stapled to everyone’s heart, thanks to streaming marathons, TikTok memes, and our collective obsession with office awkwardness.
Now, with creator Greg Daniels once again behind the desk, things are finally heating up in Scranton 2.0 (or wherever the new branch lands). But here’s the million-dollar question: who’s clocking back in? Will we get more of Dwight’s beet-fueled intensity? Is Jim still pulling pranks? Or will we get...

It's a little hard to believe that The Office spin-off is actually happening, especially because rumors of it have been going around for years. This time, however, the new series is giving all the signs that it has taken off by announcing main cast members and its basic premise. This week, however, The Office alumnus Oscar Nuñez provided an important update on The Paper, and it looks like the show is a lot closer to coming to our screens than we imagined.
The information was revealed during a participation on the Today show. Nuñez was invited along with several original cast members, including Brian Baumgartner (Kevin), Angela Kinsey (Angela), Creed Bratton (Creed), Kate Flannery (Meredith), Leslie David Baker (Stanley), and Ellie Kemper (Erin). The group was celebrating the series' 20th anniversary, and during the group interview Nuñez revealed that episodes are in the editing process, which might indicate that a trailer will pop up soon.

More than a year ago it was revealed that Greg Daniels is working on ideas for a possible follow-up to The Office called The Paper. The new series, which will stream on Peacock, will focus on the documentary crew from the original show as they find a new subject—a struggling historic newspaper in the Midwest.
The story will follow the publisher’s efforts to bring it back to life with the help of volunteer reporters.
Daniels will serve as an executive producer alongside Michael Koman, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and The Office creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. However, Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, has confirmed that he will not be returning for the new series.

The Office remains one of the most successful shows in TV history. The series ran for nine seasons, started careers for actors like Steve Carell and John Krasinski, and popularized the mockumentary style of sitcoms. It even achieved a record for most streamed minutes in a year in 2020 with viewers watching for 57.1 billion minutes, only to be toppled by Suits three years later.
It came as no surprise then when Peacock, where the series currently resides, announced a sequel to The Office. The upcoming show, titled The Paper, won't exactly be a direct sequel, moving away from the paper-selling offices of Dunder Mifflin with brand-new characters. However, there are plenty of reasons for fans to be excited, with beloved The Office characters returning and The Paper retaining the humor that made the original series so memorable.

Yeppers, it's true! The Office reboot just confirmed its first returning star, and the excitement for the in-the-works continuation series has officially increased. Obviously, all of us fans are excited to see what's in store for the upcoming Peacock follow-up of the beloved sitcom, but let's be honest, we're all waiting to find out who from the original could be coming back.
Well, our first Dunder Mifflin alum has boarded the reboot to reprise his character: Oscar Nuñez will bring back his character Oscar Martinez. Variety notes that Oscar will not be a central character in the new series set in the same universe as all our favorite characters. Additionally, he's been part of the pilot script from the beginning and will be in the mix with the other new characters.

Peacock’s upcoming follow-up series to The Office will include one of the classic characters. First reported by Jeff Sneider and confirmed by Variety, Oscar Nuñez will return to play Oscar Martinez in the new Office series.
Variety’s sources say that Nuñez won’t be a central character in the follow-up, but he has been part of the script since the very beginning. It’s possible that other characters from The Office might appear alongside Oscar, but I’d wager that creators Greg Daniels and Michael Korman will want the new series to find its own footing before they bring in more blasts from the past. The report states that Daniels has previously said that “he felt he told a complete story for most of the characters — but if there was one character he’d like to revisit and explore, it would be Oscar.“

The connection between The Office and its follow-up series at Peacock has become more concrete.
Oscar Nuñez, who played accountant Oscar Martinez throughout The Office’s run, will reprise his character in the Peacock series. Like its predecessor, the show is a mockumentary in which the documentary crew that filmed at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch for years takes on a new project, following the publisher and staff of a historic but struggling Midwestern newspaper.
When The Office ended in 2013, Nuñez’s character was running for a state Senate seat in Pennsylvania while continuing to work at Dunder Mifflin. Details of how Oscar fits into the new series are being kept quiet for now — though Nuñez has been involved from the start (his casting was first reported by The Insneider newsletter). Oscar Nuñez will reprise his The Office role of “Oscar Martinez” in the Peacock follow up series known as Untitled Greg Daniels/Michael Koman Project, Deadline has confirmed.
Rumored to be called The Paper, the new mockumentary series is set in the same universe as NBC’s Emmy Award-winning hit series The Office.
Nuñez is the first actor from the original series confirmed to be participating in the Daniels/Koman series. We understand the show will not be centered around Oscar, an accountant at Dunder Mifflin (or any one character), but he is one of the characters in the show and was involved from the start.

Oscar Nuñez will return as Oscar Martinez in Peacock’s follow-up series to “The Office,” Variety has confirmed.
Sources say Nuñez will not be the central character in the upcoming mockumentary sitcom — which takes place in the same universe as “The Office” — as it is an ensemble series. But he is part of the show’s character mix, and has been in the opening script from the beginning.
There are no further details regarding Oscar’s role or storyline in the new show, which Greg Daniels is creating and executive producing with Michael Korman (“Nathan For You”).
As of now, Nuñez is believed to be the only “Office” cast member who will appear in the follow-up series (right now still referred to as the “Untitled Daniels/Korman Project”) — but it has been noted that since it lives in the world of “The Office,” there was always a chance that characters...

There’s no denying that The Office is one of the greatest sitcoms in television history. As a remake of the BBC series of the same name, the American version permeated pop culture to become a bona fide phenomenon that won five Primetime Emmy Awards over the course of its nine-season run. Now, a follow-up series for Peacock is hoping that lightning will strike twice, and its chances of success just got even better thanks to the news that The Office star Oscar Nuñez is along for the ride.
It should be noted that nothing has been officially confirmed, but according to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Nuñez is set to reprise his role of Oscar Martinez in The Paper, which comes from Office creator Greg Daniels and former Late Night with Conan O'Brien writer Michael Koman. A League of Their Own star and co-creator Abbi Jacobson recently discussed last year's cancellation of the Prime Video series, suggesting that the reason it got the axe was a "scapegoat" excuse. Following the initial renewal of the fan-favorite show for a four-episode second and final season in early 2023, Amazon canceled it in mid-2023, citing the delays caused by the WGA strike as the prime reason.
Jacobson, who played Carson Shaw, the catcher and one of the coaches for the Rockford Peaches in the series, told Collider that the strike was used as an easy excuse to shelve A League of Their Own. "I was just talking to someone about this yesterday. Listen, I think a lot of networks and studios canceled things when the strike was happening," she said. "Was the strike a part of the cancellation? Yes. But did it feel, also, that the strike was an easy...

The Office reboot is in the works for the show's new home of Peacock, and the exciting continuation is finally taking shape after years of speculation. Despite ending in 2013, The Office found a resurgence of popularity after the series began streaming on Netflix. As one of Netflix's most-watched titles, the streamer took a hit when the rights reverted to NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock. With the sitcom still fresh on viewers' minds, the notion of a reboot remains a topic of discussion.

Horror movies can occasionally float just above the "average" line when it comes to cinematic quality. They're considered more of an "entertainment" genre than anything else. Only a few horror standalone movies and franchises have managed to establish themselves as a quality product of good writing, direction, and execution. In the horror genre, franchises like Paranormal Activity have established a solid fan base by playing with the worst possible human fears of the unknown and out-of-the-box ideas. Paranormal Activity redefined the found-footage trope after The Blair Witch Project and became a prominent club member even though it wasn't as iconic as The Exorcist or The Conjuring.
However, the franchise did develop a cult following with its surprisingly accurate portrayal of human anxieties related to what might happen around the house when everyone is in a deep eight-hour night's sleep. Almost every person who watched Paranormal Activity must have thought about...

Something about having a scary movie marathon on a late Autumn night feels so right. It’s the perfect Halloween season activity to enjoy with friends and family. Whether it be campy horror, a ghost story, or a classic slasher, the horror genre has a wide variety of franchises that make for incredible movie marathons.
It’s no secret some horror franchises get a bad rap because, let’s face it, horror sequels can be pretty awful. Still, no proper horror movie marathon is complete without a few unintentionally hilarious bad films to laugh at between the genuinely scary ones. Despite the inconsistent scares, these horror franchises are perfect for late-night movie marathons.

The co-creator and star of A League of Their Own is speaking out after Prime Video's decided to cancel the drama series despite previously renewing it.
The series was canceled alongside The Peripheral on Friday night, with many believing both were casualties of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
Abbi Jacobson, who plays Carson Shaw in the series, took to social media over the weekend after Prime Video rescinded the show's four-episode second season.
"What luck I have had to get to tell these stories and play this character I love so much," she wrote.
"What a rare thing in life. And so I am sad today."
Jacobson addressed the rumors that the series was let go due to the dual strikes.
"To blame this cancellation on the strike is bulls—t and cowardly."
"But this post isn't about all that. About all the ways this show has been put through the ringer.

The planned second and final season of A League of Their Own won't be moving forward at Prime Video after all, but not all hopes are lost for Season 2.
Debuting on Prime Video last year, A League of Their Own was a reboot of the original film of the same name released in 1992. After several months on the bubble, the series was renewed for a second season in March, though it was reported that Season 2 would be abbreviated, consisting of just four episodes compared to the eight that made up Season 1. The idea was to spend those four episodes providing a proper conclusion to the story established in the first season, but as reported by THR, A League of Their Own's second season has been scrapped by Amazon.

‘A League Of Their Own’ Canceled: Prime Video Not Proceeding With Second & Final Season Amid Strikes

Exclusive: Prime Video is not moving forward with the previously ordered second — and final — season of comedy-drama A League Of Their Own, co-created and starring Abbi Jacobson, Deadline has learned.
It joins fellow Prime Video/Amazon Studios hourlong freshman series The Peripheral, which also had its Season 2 renewal reversed.
As Deadline reported earlier today, both cancellations are believed to stem from the length of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which have delayed TV production, creating large gaps between seasons and making shows miss their target release dates.
In a story earlier this week, Deadline reported that there may be more series whose renewals could be rescinded or pending pickups not happen if the work stoppage stretches past Labor Day, with freshman series going into Season 2 the most vulnerable. There was a similar string of unrenewals during the pandemic.

Prime Video has canceled “The Peripheral,” despite the Chloë Grace Moretz-led sci-fi series receiving a renewal for a second season in February.
An individual with knowledge of the matter tells TheWrap that the cancelation stems from delays caused by the ongoing Writers’ Guild of America strike, which began on May 2, and SAG-AFTRA strike, which began on July 14. The individual noted that the series was originally intended to go into production this year for a release in 2024.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by William Gibson, the series hailed from “Westworld” creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan’s Kilter Films banner, who are under an overall deal at Amazon Studios. “The Peripheral” follows Flynne Fisher (Moretz), a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow’s America. Amazon Studios Television head Vernon Sanders suggested that the company would be open to continuing their “A League of Their Own” series, despite its recent decision to renew the show for an abbreviated four-episode second season.
“I’m one of those people that believes that if magic happens and we get a great response, this doesn’t necessarily have to be the end,” Sanders told TheWrap. “It will totally depend on how it performs and how the cast and creators all decide they want to revisit it if they do. So let’s hope we get that big audience.”
He emphasized that the studio “loved” the show and that the conversation about bringing it back was a “tough one.”

This article contains spoilers for "Perry Mason" through season 2, episode 5, "Chapter Thirteen."
In its first season, HBO's pulpy, hardboiled version of "Perry Mason" introduced us to a version of Erle Stanley Gardner's famous criminal lawyer who had yet to become the formidable figure we know from previous iterations of the character. In this show, Mason is a war vet and private investigator who struggles with horrific memories of his wartime mercy killings, fights to keep hold of his family's farm, and reluctantly takes on the role of attorney after John Lithgow's E.B. Jonathan takes his own life. It's all a bit grim, really.
But with season 2, "Perry Mason" has put supporting characters front and center. While the gritty, somber tone is still there, the violence has been toned down a bit, and there are some genuine moments of joy. Many of those moments come from Juliet Rylance...

The Rockford Peaches are set to return to Amazon Prime Video one last time.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, A League of Their Own is returning to the streaming service for a second and final season.
And it will be short.
The outlet alleges that A League of Their Own Season 2 will comprise just four episodes.
Amazon has not confirmed the renewal, but THR notes that deals are still being worked out.
As a result, we should expect a formal pickup when the deals are completed.
The road to renewal was reportedly complicated by renegotiations with Sony to lower the drama's licensing fee.
The cast also had to sign new deals because the season will be comprised of half the episodes of A League of Their Own Season 1.
While Amazon has not announced the pickup, it is set to be billed as a "limited series."

Abbi Jacobson and Will Graham’s “A League of Their Own” series on Amazon’s Prime Video will return for a shortened final season of four episodes, according to multiple reports.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon made the decision after months of negotiations that included a reduction of the show’s licensing fee by Sony, who owns the rights to the movie. The streaming arm of the retail and tech company sought to lower the budget and production costs for a second season. Even a movie was considered for the show’s conclusion, according to THR sources.
Co-creator of the show Will Graham tweeted in response to the reports, adding onto a thread he began earlier Tuesday morning.

Following months of renewal chatter about A League of Their Own, Prime Video is fueling the flames of suspicion further with a Twitter post.

While sources tell Deadline that the social media post was done to mark the start of MLB’s 2023 Spring Training, one could understand why fans are interpreting its message differently.
It’s been more than six months since Season 1 of A League Of Their Own premiered on Prime Video with no official word on the show’s fate. There have been positive signs that that show, which has developed a devoted following, would get a second season.

A League of Their Own star D'Arcy Carden sends a hopeful message to fans waiting for season 2. Offering a different take on the memorable 1992 baseball film of the same name, A League of Their Own premiered on Prime Video in August 2022. The series follows different characters than the movie, taking place in 1943 and focusing on the formation of a World War II-era women's professional baseball team. Along with Abbi Jacobson and Carden, the reboot also stars Chanté Adams, Roberta Colindrez, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Kelly McCormack, Molly Ephraim, Melanie Field, and Priscilla Delgado.
In an interview with IndieWire to promote her role in the new movie Shotgun Wedding, Carden also discussed whether Prime Video will confirm A League of Their Own season 2. Even though The Good Place alum had no official news to share, she did thank fans of the reboot for their push to get the baseball drama another round of episodes.

Over a month ago, Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson’s new “A League of Their Own” television series premiered on Amazon Prime Video, and while no news of a renewal for a second season has been released yet, Jacobson is grateful that the work she started in 2018 has finally made it to the small screen. In addition to creating the show, Jacobson plays eventual Rockford Peaches catcher Carson Shaw, who discovers a lot more about herself than just her love for baseball along the way.
Jacobson’s character is happily married to a soldier off fighting in the war, but when she meets Greta Gill (D’Arcy Carden), she begins to gravitate toward her teammate, the first basewoman, in a totally different but intense way. Jacobson spoke with TheWrap in a spoiler-filled Zoom conversation five weeks after the show first dropped, discussing how she feels about its, her hardest scenes to shoot and more.

Molly Ephraim rounds the bases in Prime Video’s small screen adaptation of “A League of Their Own” as both an important outfielder as well as a crucial comedic actress on the team of women who find themselves bonded by their first season in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball Team on the Rockford Peaches.
“When I auditioned, I think the breakdown said like, ‘the spunkiest person you’ll ever meet,’ and there was an audition scene with her just hysterically laughing,” Ephraim said in an interview with TheWrap. “I was like, ‘I can do that. That’s in my wheelhouse.’ A loud, insane laugh.”
Ephraim plays Maybelle Fox, a spunky blonde single woman who often pumps the team up with her energy and sass.

“Broad City” co-creator Abbi Jacobson and “Mozart in the Jungle” executive producer Will Graham give “A League of Their Own” a modern makeover for the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series, emphasizing LGBT storylines and the struggles of Black female athletes to play baseball during the World War II era. The show, which debuted this weekend, follows the basic outline of Penny Marshall’s 1992 movie of the same name: A catcher with a husband away at war quickly becomes a team leader, played in the update by Jacobson. Nick Offerman has stepped into the equivalent shoes of Tom Hanks as a disgraced-star-player-turned-manager. Here’s how the show stacks up against the 30-year-old movie, which introduced Rosie O’Donnell to pal Madonna and was itself an adaptation of a late-1980s documentary of the same name.
Abbi Jacobson plays catcher Carson Shaw, a reluctant leader exploring unexpected feelings for a teammate while her husband is serving overseas.
