Steven Ogg, the actor who played Trevor Philips in GTA 5, has spilled some beans about the canceled GTA 5 story Dlc.
As first reported by The Loadout, Steven was recently part of a live Q&a along with his GTA 5 co-actors Shawn Fonteno aka Franklin and Ned Luke aka Michael. During the session, Luke revealed,
“Originally they were gonna do continuing stories of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor.”
To this Ogg added,
“Trevor was gonna be undercover – he works for the feds. And we did shoot some of that stuff with ‘James Bond Trevor’ – he’s still kind of a fuck up, but he’s doing his best to pretend to be like [a secret agent]. We shot some stuff and then it just disappeared and [Rockstar] never did it, they never followed up on it.”
Conversation around the Agent Trevor Dlc began last year when the intel was datamined from GTA 5’s source code.

For years, we’ve heard rumors that Grand Theft Auto 5 was supposed to receive multiple single-player Dlc expansions that were ultimately canceled. We now know that at least one of those Dlc expansions was both real and spectacular.
During a recent Q&A stream, Steve Ogg (who portrayed Trevor in GTA 5) revealed that he voiced a few scenes for a GTA 5 expansion that he referred to as “James Bond Trevor.” According to Ogg, the Dlc would have seen Trevor go undercover for the FBI as part of an undisclosed operation. While Ogg describes Trevor as “still kind of a fuck up” at that point in his life, he says the character would have “done his best to pretend to be like [a secret agent].”
Ogg didn’t share many additional details about the scrapped Dlc’s plot, but he did mention that the idea was to take the story (and therefore Trevor) to some pretty wild places.

The Oscar season is going on, and trophies are being handed out left and right. Deserving artists are getting the recognition they worked so hard for. Celebrated filmmakers, actors, and technicians are getting their due. All in all, things are pretty exciting at the moment, and cinema fans are getting a lot of excitement from it. But one cannot help but wonder if it’s about time video games started getting recognized by the Academy too.
Over the years, video games have grown from being a source of mindless entertainment to something much more immersive and meaningful. With this evolution, performances from lead actors have become a central part of these games. And over the years, there have been performances by actors that could have easily won the best actor award at the Oscars.

This The Walking Dead: Dead City review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead: Dead City Episode 4
The idea that anyone could be too much of a psychopath for the Saviors is, honestly, hard to swallow. The first time we meet Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan on The Walking Dead, he introduces himself by bashing a couple of fan favorite characters to death. His chief lieutenant, Simon (Steven Ogg), is at least as bad as his boss. None of the Savior leadership were good people; at the time, the Saviors title seemed ironic. Now that Negan has been established a little better on The Walking Dead: Dead City, it’s easy to see just how things got so out of control. If Simon is the voice of reason, then things are too far gone to save.
It’s no wonder Maggie has such a grudge against The Croat (Zeljko Ivanek) for taking her son.

Will Smith's role in his new period drama, "Emancipation," has already garnered award-season buzz for the 54-year-old actor (despite his Oscars controversy), but apparently he's not the only one who gave a passionate performance in the movie. During the latest episode of "Red Table Talk," which dropped on Dec. 14, Smith shared that his costar, Steven Ogg, once "ad-libbed" in one of their scenes together and spit on him during filming.
"One of the first days on set, there is a scene with one of the actors and he leans down in my face and says, 'You a cold one, ain't you?' and then he ad-libbed," Smith recalled to his three kids - Trey, 30; Jaden, 24; and Willow, 22 - simulating a spitting motion and showing his shocked reaction. "Ahhhhhh, I was like, 'Makeup!'" he joked. "No, but . . . I was like, whoa, every actor on this set was taking it really,...

Will Smith recalled being spat on by a fellow actor while filming his new Apple TV movie, Emancipation.
The 54-year-old actor appeared on Red Table Talk this week to discuss his role with his three children Willow, 22, Jaden, 24, and Trey Smith, 30.
Smith plays a man called Peter who escapes slavery in the film directed by Antoine Fuqua based on a true story.
“As the years have gone on I’ve gotten more and more locked into these characters for longer periods of time,” Smith explained to his children.
“And it’s just the weight of this story, the weight of these experiences – the quality of these actors. It was emotionally, it was physically, it was spiritually taxing.”
Smith then remembered costar Steven Ogg who “ad-libbed” one scene where he decided to spit on him.

A period piece based on a true story that brings us up and close to extreme suffering and the resilience required to overcome extreme events. Will Smith proves, yet again, that he has the ability to get into character with unquestionable talent and dedication, and with intensity.

Hailing from director Antoine Fuqua, “Emancipation” was the subject of Oscar buzz even before its premiere.
Inspired by a true story, the historical drama follows an enslaved laborer named Peter, played by Will Smith, as he escapes the clutches of abusive plantation owners to reunite with his family. The treacherous journey tests Peter’s persistence as he trudges through the brutal Louisiana swamps.

We are eight months out from this year’s Academy Awards, where Will Smith slapped presenter Chris Rock after a derogatory joke aimed at his wife Jada Pinkett. He was subsequently barred from attending the ceremony for the next decade. And, now, the actor’s career lies in jeopardy. Several of his projects have stalled. Others, reportedly, have been outright cancelled. His historical action film Emancipation, which had finished production just a few weeks before that fateful Oscar night, cost Apple an estimated 120m, and though the studio has pressed ahead with its scheduled release plan, the debate is still rife over whether they’ve made the right call. Smith himself gets it. “I completely understand,” he told a US journalist in an interview this week. “If someone is not ready, I would absolutely respect that and allow them their space to not be ready.” I also respect people’s...

“Whipped Peter” spent 10 days traveling through the alligator- and insect-filled Louisiana swamps to join the Union Army after his escape from Lyons plantation in Louisiana. During his medical examination, onlookers marveled at the constellation of raised scars on his back from constant whippings. When war photographers took a picture of his back, and shared it with others, it reminded white people of the viciousness experienced by the enslaved. Antoine Fuqua’s Emancipation retells the story of Peter and his blood-soaked journey to freedom. Written by Bill Collage (Exodus: Gods and Kings), the film is an unforgiving portrait of a man separated from his family and risking his life to reunite with them.
Emancipation begins when Peter (Will Smith) is sold to a work camp to build the railroad. On the journey, he sees the heads of Black men lining the roads and Civil War deserters hanging from trees by their neck.

Apple Original Films has revealed the trailer for the highly anticipated film ‘Emancipation.’
Directed and executive produced by Antoine Fuqua and starring and produced by Will Smith.
The film tells the triumphant story of Peter (Smith), a man who escapes from slavery, relying on his wits, unwavering faith and deep love for his family to evade cold-blooded hunters and the unforgiving swamps of Louisiana on his quest for freedom.
The film is inspired by the 1863 photos of “Whipped Peter,” taken during a Union Army medical examination, that first appeared in Harper’s Weekly. One image, known as “The Scourged Back,” which shows Peter’s bare back mutilated by a whipping delivered by his enslavers, ultimately contributed to growing public opposition to slavery.
Ben Foster, Charmaine Bingwa, Gilbert Owuor, Mustafa Shakir, Steven Ogg, Grant Harvey, Ronnie Gene Bivens, Jayson Warner Smith, Jabbar Lewis, Michael Luwoye, Aaron Moten and Imani Pullum also star.

Will Smith evades slavers, alligators, and more in his quest for freedom in the latest trailer for Emancipation, which is set to hit theaters on Dec. 2 before arriving on Apple TV+ on Dec. 9.

The first trailer for Antoine Fuqua and Apple TV+'s unsettling slavery drama "Emancipation" is finally here. Based on the true story of a widely-photographed slave nicknamed "Whipped Peter," Will Smith takes center stage as an escaped slave that becomes a crucial part of the abolitionist movement. Be warned that the new trailer does have some graphic imagery, so we would like to extend caution before watching it. However, the sweeping cinematography, epic fights, and powerful performances seen throughout tease a film that could secure Smith his fourth Oscars nomination and perhaps his second win.
The topic of slavery on film is a difficult and nuanced one, and it's important to understand all perspectives on it. After all, it's no secret that the history of Black pain on screen is one filled with exploitation. However, in a new interview with Variety Fair, Fuqua argued that the story of Peter, as...

There’s a certain charm to the V/H/S franchise that I have never quite been able to put my finger on… until now. It’s that retro-style feel blended with the chilling horror elements that culminates in it feeling like both a warm hug and a rush of blood at the same time.

Plot: Five terrifying tales are unearthed on a VHS tape that hasn’t been watched since 1999.
Review: Like all anthology films, V/H/S/99 is a mixed bag. It contains five separate stories, and as in every movie in this franchise, some are great, and some are mediocre. However, to the movie’s credit, none of the stories are bad, meaning that V/H/S/99 adds up to a pretty solid addition to the franchise.
Two of the stories are brilliant. My favorite, by a long shot, is the second one, Suicide Bid, written and directed by Johannes Roberts, who did 47 Meters Down and Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City. In it, Ally Ioannides plays a sorority pledge eager to be liked. Her would-be sisters decide to play a prank on her, burying her alive in a coffin, only to abandon her when cops show up, intending to return later to dig her up.

You don’t have to be a jaded Hollywood cynic to understand why the “V/H/S” franchise isn’t going anywhere. As any studio executive worth their salt would be quick to point out, a recognizable horror brand built around deliberately cheap production value with enough elasticity to accommodate new trends is a terrible thing to waste. That, combined with a direct-to-streaming release strategy that frees it from box office expectations, gives the long-running horror anthology series little incentive to improve.
You’re gonna get a new “V/H/S” movie just about every Halloween until the end of time, and you’re gonna like it. Then again, there are worse fates in life.
While “V/H/S/99” is a far cry from the original, it still manages to be far more fun than it has any right to be. By connecting its horror vignettes with trippy stop-motion sketches instead of a unifying plot device,...

The cast for Antoine Fuqua‘s The Equalizer 3 is growing stronger with addition. The project is from Sony Pictures and has a script by Richard Wenk. Todd Black of Escape Artists, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch produce alongside Washington and Fuqua.

The original film, released in 2014, focuses on a man who believes he’s put the past behind him but can’t stand by when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters. A sequel was released in 2018, featuring McCall going on a rampage to serve unflinching justice for someone he loves.

Emancipation trailer: Will Smith leads a stirring look at Antoine Fuqua’s historical escape thriller
Apple Original Films is bringing major updates for Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming historical drama this Monday with an Emancipation trailer and word of the film’s theatrical release. The emotional epic starring Will Smith is opening in theaters on December 2, followed by a December 9 release on Apple TV+.
Industry insiders are watching Emancipation closely after an incident involving Smith at the last Academy Awards. Smith slapped Chris Rock‘s face on live television after the comedian made a joke about Smith’s partner, Jada-Pinkett Smith. “The slap heard around the world” damaged Smith’s reputation and banned him from the Academy for ten years. Smith also resigned from the Academy to minimize the damage done. Despite the steps taken, Smith’s fall from grace hurt Emancipation‘s status as an Oscar contender. Will Smith is back in business sooner than expected with the action thriller “Emancipation,” as Apple Original Films has set the film for a Dec. 2 theatrical release, followed by a Dec. 9 release on Apple TV+.
Though “Emancipation” had originally been set for a 2022 release date, Apple delayed the film to 2023. Now that delay has been reversed, making this film a potential Oscar contender.
The teaser shows Smith as Peter, a slave who escapes from a Lousiana plantation after being whipped nearly to death. The film follows Peter on his journey to freedom, as he outwits his hunters and makes his way north, where he joins the Union Army. The film is based on the true story of “Whipped Peter,” after photos of his bare back, which was mutilated by a whipping, were published in 1863, revealing the brutality of slavery.

The inescapable problem at the core of any omnibus or anthology film with multiple cooks in the kitchen is, by all design, things will be uneven. Yet V/H/S/99 is fun enough in the context of TIFF’s Midnight Madness—including standouts from the usually gross and reliable Flying Lotus and Johannes Roberts, whose film is genuinely terrifying before turning a bit silly in its final moments.

The odds are not good for “V/H/S” — which is to say it’s the even-numbered entries in this horror omnibus franchise that have been by far the best to date. As No. 5, “V/H/S/99” unfortunately maintains that pattern, providing an uninspired extension of the series that had rebounded after a seven-year lull with last fall’s “V/H/S/94.”
That installment was typically uneven, but the better segments were terrific. Here, nothing stands out: The best episodes are merely good enough, and the worst just tiresome. Nonetheless, this brand has proven viewer appeal for genre streaming platform Shudder, where it should do well when launched in various territories on Oct. 20. Set in 1999 — the tail of the titular format’s commercial reign, since DVDs were introduced two years prior — the film is unlikely to be the series’ last.
If this “V/H/S” has any binding theme, it would appear to be bullying. All...

Westworld Season 4 Episode 8
William (Ed Harris) was always obsessed with the creations of Robert Ford. He wasn’t exactly into the narrative, but he was in search of something else. Something deeper, something more meaningful, called to him. William knew it as the maze, and all he wanted was to find his way to the center of it any way he could. Usually, especially as he aged into the Man In Black, that meant violence. He understands violence, and he’s at home when there’s shooting, screaming, and bleeding. The guy in a black Stetson stalking through the streets of Manhattan gunning down everyone in his math might not be the same as the human, flesh-and-blood William, but as he says later in the episode, he’s just William’s impulses in an evolved body. Meat does not make a person, unless it’s...

Westworld Season 4 — and possibly the series? — concluded on Sunday night with “Que Sera, Sera,” a finale that pit Hale, Christina, Caleb et al against a world on fire. (The EPs tell our sister site Deadline there is no word on renewal yet.)
The finale opens with a street littered with corpses. Civilians kill each other without mercy or ceremony, turning once-quiet city blocks into veritable war zones. Fleeting guest castings come and go. (Hey, Steven Ogg!) A young sharpshooter takes out a handful of these murderous pedestrians, before William kills him. The Man in Black has very much plunged the...
