Bloody Disgusting’s podcast network, Bloody FM, is happy to announce another addition to the network – Guide to the Unknown.
Each episode, hosts (and siblings!) Kristen Anderson and Will Rogers dive into everything spooky, from horror movies and pop culture, to urban legends, the paranormal, the mysterious…and the stupid. If it’s even vaguely creepy, they’re all over it.
Kristen and Will are long-time fans of scary stuff, who like to crack each other up as much as they like to freak each other out. Guide to the Unknown started over 6 years ago, and has been available in a video version from the very beginning. They quickly began recording each episode live (which came in handy in 2020), which has endured as a fun way to connect with their audience.

“Remember Me” from Disney/Pixar’s animated musical “Coco” is the likeliest winner of the Best Original Song Oscar to come along in a while (it’s written by “Let It Go” songwriters Kristen Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez). With this category, the Academy music branch tends to lean into musicals and major pop stars singing songs over the closing credits. This year, 70 songs are eligible for the Oscars.
Also on the musical front, Alan Menken, Howard Ashman & Tim Rice wrote the song “Evermore” for “Beauty and the Beast,” performed by Josh Groban, while “La La Land” lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Justin Paul wrote “This is Me” for “The Greatest Showman.”
Among established musicians, this year Sufjan Stevens wrote and sings “The Mystery of Love” for “Call My By Your Name,” while Elvis Costello sings haunting “You Shouldn’t Look at Me That Way” on the soundtrack for “Film...

Idina Menzel has been known to pull audience members on stage for duets during her concerts in the past. But her latest partner just might have her questioning that decision.
During her Sunday concert in Grand Prarie, Texas, a young boy — who Menzel called “the only boy” in the audience — nearly stole the show from the songstress when he belted the chorus of “Let it Go,” her hit song from Disney’s Frozen.
“Every time a boy comes up, he tells me he doesn’t really like this song,” Menzel explained in a video of the performance that’s since...

Female filmmakers in the sci-fi and fantasy genre will be celebrated with the first ever Etheria Film Festival, to be held in September 2012.
Etheria is the brainchild of film journalist Heidi Honeycutt and the Viscera Organisation, a not-for-profit group dedicated to increasing the visibility of female genre filmmakers.
Last month, the Viscera Film Festival Carpet Ceremony put the spotlight on up-and-coming women directors in the horror genre with a programme of new short films and a celebrity judging panel of industry veterans.
A Viscera spokeswoman said: "The Viscera Film Festival has been showcasing the best in emerging female horror film talent since 2007.
"But why stop with horror? There are talented women filmmakers across every genre. The Etheria Film Festival is the only film festival in the world that screens, exclusively, the best new short science fiction and fantasy films directed by women from around the globe."
