Zhao Yishui is very talented. Because he has not grown up in college, he is nicknamed “Root Number 2”. Yishui grew up in a fishing village in the south, and at the age of 5, he read most of his father’s books. He was 12 years old when he entered university, just after the resumption of the college entrance exams. His female tablemate was the modelesque Wen Quexi, his roommate was a lover of Qiong Yao literature, and his class president was Cao Zhengchang, a youth captain with his family. They went through a lot together: the South became the forefront of reform, the popularity of Qiong Yao’s novels, pop music, the women’s volleyball team winning the championship, etc. This group of people collide together, they want to change the country with their hands and their passion, they will be the ones at the forefront of the wave of the times.

Now Donnie Yen (one of the greatest martial artists of his generation), who first portrayed Chen in a 1995 television series, returns to the role in Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhe, the latest film by director Andrew Lau.
The film circulated major film festivals in 2010 (including Tiff and Cannes) but now Variance Films and Well Go USA have teamed up to bring the pseudo sequel to Jet Li’s Fist of Legend, to Stateside movie screens on April 22, 2011. With that comes a new U.S. poster and trailer for the film below.
