Matt Johnson is an award-winning Producer and Writer with a broad range of work in film and television (scripted and non-fiction). He is the Executive Producer, Creator, and Showrunner of the paranormal thriller series "By Night: Origins" airing on Amazon, alongside longtime collaborator Robert Uncles. Other recent credits include Producer of the powerful veteran/service dog documentary "The Greatest Bond" for PBS, and Supervising Producer and Head Writer for the popular Hallmark Channel franchise "Kitten Bowl". A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, he is currently the Co-Chair of the Producers Guild Of America prestigious Power Of Diversity Master Workshop.

In addition to his direction of over fifty stage productions, other credits include work on the television shows "League Of Legends", "The Grammy Awards", "The Billboard Music Awards", "Jeopardy", "Wheel Of Fortune", "London Olympics", and many commercials with Deutsch LA - including national spots for Volkswagen, Dr. Pepper, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Target and Snapple. He has written and directed ten films, as well as creating the original radio drama series "New Frequency" for Sirius Satellite Radio and iTunes with over 100 original episodes produced. Previous films include "Manipede", "Butterflies", "True Fiction", "Final Call", "The Goth Next Door", "Chalk", and the critically-acclaimed festival darling and Oscar-qualified short "Texas". In partnership with Bruce Willis and Weimar Pictures Germany, he wrote and produced the feature film documentary "Bruce Willis: Why The Legend Never Dies", which opened the Berlin Film Festival.

His next series "The Resurrectionists", created with partner Robert Uncles, tells the story of a troubled perfume shop owner's journey into the business of body snatching in 19th Century London in order to save his twin daughters. The gritty and stylish drama is slated to being filming international in 2021. Other upcoming projects include the television comedy "El Verdugo" and docu-series "Spirits Of The Game", as well as the feature films "The Resurrection Of Lawford Bertolucci" and "The Nesting Doll".
