Sang Burt Bacharach's hit song "Alfie" as a Command Performance at the 2001 Stockholm Water Prize for King Gustav and Queen Sylvia of Sweden. Appropriately it was the same year Burt Bacharach received the prestigious Polar Prize for music.

The name "Dalager" is an ancient Norwegian name, and derives from the words "dal" which translates to "valley" in English and "aker" which means "field." Mike's descendants were farmers from the "Valdres" mountain region of central Norway.

Is a fan of Swedish automobiles, and owns a 1971 Volvo P1800e, the same car actor Roger Moore drove in the TV series "The Saint.".

Is a Coast Guard Reservist stationed at Sector San Diego, where he performs duties as a Petty Officer. Sang the US National Anthem on the Coast Guard's 217th birthday in 2007 for the San Diego Padres at Petco Park against the San Francisco Giants, the weekend Barry Bonds tied Hank Aaron's historic home run record.

His mother Catalina Manalansan Mariano is Filipino, Spanish and Chinese. His father, Neil Dalager is a Minnesotan of Swedish and Norwegian descent, making Mike Eurasian like fellow actors Keanu Reeves, Brandon Lee, Rob Schneider, Russell Wong and actresses Devon Aoki, Kelly Hu, Maggie Q and Nicole Scherzinger.
