Ipek, who was born and raised in Ankara; He first started acting in high school when his literature teacher offered him to play in a theater show. While he was in high school, he continued to attend courses and professional training. He went to the theater courses of Altindag Municipality. He worked at Anadolu Art Center Children's Theater and Rainbow Actors.
He decided to join the band after watching a play by Maksim Gorki staged by Ankara Art Theater (AST) in 1990. He joined AST in 1991 and took part in many of the ensemble's plays. He graduated from Bilkent University, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Department of Theater.
