Grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts.

She received two BAs in Religion and Economics from the University of Rochester. She also studied classical flute and piano at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

Named after a species of swallow in the Korean fairy tale, "Heungbu and Nolbu" (Korean pronunciation: hey-dyun). Also known as Eileen Park but has been going by her Korean name since discovering that another "Eileen Park" was already registered in the Screen Actors Guild before her.

Studied acting at the William Esper Studio in New York City.

Hettienne Park became a member of Actors' Equity when she was cast as Sooze Moon Marcantonio in Tony Kushner's The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures, directed by Michael Greif, in its New York premiere at the Public Theater.

Ms. Park's voice can be heard on Rockstar Games', The Warriors and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Ms. Park is a recipient of the 68th Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway as well as Off-Broadway debuts.
