Fabienne Carat
Fabienne Carat was born in Pau in the southwest of France, and was raised in a middle-class household in a quiet french suburb. Her mother, was a teacher, and her father was an electronician. She discovered theater at the age of eleven and entered the 'Coté Cour' acting class in Paris at the age of 21. She began performing in numerous theatre productions and short films.

In 2000, a casting director gave her her first part in a major feature, La vérité si je mens! 2 (2001), the sequel to the 1997 french comedy hit Would I Lie to You? (1997) starring Richard Anconina and Gad Elmaleh, directed by Thomas Gilou.

After graduating from acting school, she auditioned for a part she saw in a paper ad for the series Bin'o Bine (2004) and landed the leading part. After 42 episodes on the series, she was told by a fellow cast member about Plus belle la vie (2004), a new daily drama on France 3 that was picking up in the ratings and that was looking for new faces.

In 2005, she was offered the part of Samia Nassri on Plus belle la vie (2004) and she eventually became one of the most popular character on the long lasting TV series, now entering its 16th season. Fabienne continues to do theatre, having played her own one woman show "L'Amour est dans le Prêt?" (Loan Me Tender) over 200 times in Paris and the rest of France.

In 2015, she had a prolific year and turned into an unexpected sensation when she became a favorite on Danse avec les stars (2011), the french version of Round One (2005). She made the semi-finals and was saluted for her performance, having no previous background experience as a dancer.

Fabienne is often starring as a guest in various TV series and TV movies.

She spends her time between Paris and Marseille, working in theater, film and TV.
