At long last, the strike is over! The largest actors’ union in Hollywood (the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) has agreed to a new three-year contract with top Hollywood studios, meaning that your favorite television series or movie that was in the midst of production when writers and actors walked offsets can now get back to action.
That’s certainly a relief where this column is concerned, though streaming platforms weren’t due to run out of content completely for another few months. In fact, this week’s release schedule features a great lineup of movies and shows, and could reasonably stand up against most other weeks in terms of streaming releases regardless of strikes!

Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story will be available on Disney+ in less than two weeks, and we have an exciting teaser to pique your interest. Keanu Reeves describes his ‘fascination with racing’ in the teaser before declaring, ‘I’m going to tell a story that barely sounds true.’
Fortunately for us, that narrative isn’t The Matrix Resurrections, but that of Brawn Gp, the £1 F1 team that came perilously near to disappearing off the grid before reappearing in 2009 with a championship-winning vehicle.

When you think of Keanu Reeves, you're probably more focused on the good-natured memes, or him kicking ass in a variety of movies such as the :a[John Wick]{href='https://www.empireonline.com/movies/reviews/john-wick-review/' } franchise. But did you suspect had a — pun entirely intended — driving interest in Formula 1 racing? As it turns out, he's fronting a new docuseries about the sport, focused on the unbelievable story of one particular underdog team. Brawn: The Impossible Formula One Story is driving towards a release on Disney+ and the trailer is online:
The four-part series will chronicle mogul Ross Brawn’s purchase of the Honda F1 team prior to the start of the 2009 season for just £1, and his subsequent turnaround of the team, which resulted in both the Drivers’ (for Jenson Button) and Constructors’ titles.

Keanu Reeves is steering into a new direction with upcoming Hulu series “Brawn: The Impossible Formula One Story.”
A U.K. Original series, “Brawn” will debut on Disney+ globally outside of the U.S. and on Hulu stateside. The four-part docuseries sees “John Wick” star Reeves dive deeper into the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship that saw an underdog team win big.
In 2009, competing in the most expensive and technologically advanced racing series on Earth, the impossible happened. An understaffed, under-financed, and independent team won the World Championship — with a team that cost just one euro.
“Brawn” features interviews with those involved in the championship, including exclusive F1 archival footage that has been previously unseen. British F1 drivers Jenson Button and Ross Brawn, who both led the team to victory, appear in the series alongside Reeves.

Featuring some of the biggest names in F1, it follows Nigel Mansell and the Williams Racing team’s rise to fame told through the eyes of his team, family and drivers including Jenson Button, Damon Hill and Karun Chandhok.
Mansell grew up in England in the 1960s, dreaming of becoming a professional race car driver, despite not having the financial means for it, while Frank Williams was realizing his own dream at the company he founded, Williams Grand Prix Engineering. The two joined forces, and after years of trying to win together, Mansell left to join Ferrari and then ultimately retired from racing after years of ups and downs, without ever winning the Formula One Drivers’ Championship. But seemingly overnight, he came out of retirement and re-joined Williams Racing.

Keanu Reeves is working on a documentary about Formula One for Disney+, Variety has learned.
The as-yet-untitled four-part docuseries will reportedly focus on Formula 1 managing director Ross Brawn, who in 2009 bought the Honda team, renamed it Brawn Gp and took it to two unprecedented championship victories.
Reeves will host the doc and has already been conducting interviews. Among those believed to be on board are former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo, whom Reeves was pictured with last month, and drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. Brawn himself is also set to take part.
All3Media-owned North One Television is understood to be producing the series.
Reeves has long been known as a speed freak with an extensive motorcycle collection. He even founded his own motorcycle manufacturer, Arch Motorcycle, with Gard Hollinger.

Jenson Button has sparked speculation he's set to join 'Top Gear'. The Formula 1 driver has hinted he could be set to join host Chris Evans on the revamped BBC car show after dodging questions about whether or not he's planning to retire from the motor sport. He said: ''You're just going to have to wait a little bit longer. I'll be happy next year, that's the important thing.'' BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris also added to speculation by telling listeners there were ''rumours of a 'Top Gear'-related press conference in Suzuka'', where Button will be for the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend.

Rochelle Humes has been making a name for herself as a TV presenter in recent times, and now her bandmate Mollie King has suggested a surprising TV role.
"I think I should be one of the next Top Gear presenters," she told Notion magazine. "Think about it, it's perfect. Nobody would see it coming.
"Women are obviously better drivers than men, for a start; so I'd be bringing skill, but I think that show needs a bit of girl power."
We think she's joking. Having said that, new host Chris Evans has mentioned on several occasions that he expects to hire at least one female presenter as part of his rebooted Top Gear lineup, but Mollie's probably not high up on the list.
Suzi Perry, Dermot O'Leary and Formula 1 star Jenson Button are among the names being bandied about as potential Top Gear co-hosts, while Jodie Kidd has taken her name off the list.

BT has said it didn't even consider bidding for Jeremy Clarkson's new motoring show.
Clarkson and his fellow former Top Gear presenters Richard Hammond and James May have signed up with Amazon Prime in a deal which includes a whopping budget of £160m - working out at around £4.5m per episode.
BT Sport and TV managing director Delia Bushell told The Guardian: "To be honest I didn't consider it. It just wasn't right for us."
She went on: "It's a fantastic franchise, but it made more sense for a global player like Netflix because Top Gear has huge Us revenues as well."
Clarkson was axed from the BBC's Top Gear earlier this year after verbally and physically attacking producer Oisin Tymon.
Chris Evans will replace Clarkson as the lead host, and has been backed by the show's departed producer Andy Wilman.

Jeremy Clarkson has found his post-punch project: Alongside fellow ex–Top Gear hosts James May and Richard Hammond, the irascible Clarkson has signed on to host a new automotive series on Amazon Prime, which will start streaming sometime next year. It's a savvy move, contractually: The non-compete clause in the trio's old BBC contract apparently only forbade them from signing with a competing British channel for two years, and said absolutely nothing about working with the content-producing arm of an American logistics company. Meanwhile, we now know how Top Gear will hope to survive without the three ex-presenters: BBC Two has tapped Chris Evans (not that one) to host the long-running car show, with Formula 1 driver Jenson Button rumored as a potential co-host. As long as neither of them assault a producer over a lack of hot food, they should be fine.

Chris Evans is making himself feel at home on Top Gear - he's brought in his former Big Breakfast producer to work on the revamped show.
Lisa Clark is the latest name to join the BBC's forthcoming rebrand of its popular motoring show, following the departures of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
Evans said: "Lisa is as good as it gets when it comes to making big, important television shows. She's funny, sassy, super experienced and has always absolutely loved cars."
Clark leaves her production company Pett behind to join the show, but says she is "confident" the business she set up with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer will "continue to make original and probably funnier shows" without her.
She added: "This is an incredibly exciting and challenging opportunity, which I couldn't resist."

And on that bombshell...
Bringing months of speculation to an end, Amazon Video announced today (July 30) that it has struck a deal with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May - late of BBC Two's Top Gear - to front a new motoring series, one exclusive to Prime subscribers.
ITV, Hulu and Netflix (perhaps the market leader when it comes to online originals) were all reported to be bidding for the boys, but in the end, it was Amazon's VOD service that came out on top - and of course, this isn't the first time it's revived a dormant BBC format, with the drama series Ripper Street also benefiting from Amazon's deep pockets.
Regardless of what some may think of Hammond, May and particularly Clarkson - his attack on Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon appeared to confirm certain critics' worst assessments of the man - today's announcement would appear...

Former Top Gear trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are coming back to TV screens, signing up for a new show on Amazon Prime.
Although the cost of the deal hasn't been confirmed, the streaming service is believed to have made a "significant" investment in the trio to beat the likes of Netflix to the show.

Jenson Button could be set to join Chris Evans on 'Top Gear'. The Formula 1 driver has been tipped to join the BBC Radio 2 DJ on the new presenting line-up of the BBC motoring show after Jeremy Clarkson was sacked earlier this year for punching a producer, resulting in his colleagues Richard Hammond and James May stepping down as co-hosts. A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''An announcement is imminent.'' The 35-year-old star appeared on the popular show as a celebrity guest twice while Clarkson, May and Hammond hosted the show but he could now be set to join the show...

Michael Schumacher, a retired Formula One Driver, is in critical condition following a skiing accident this past weekend.
Michael Schumacher In Coma
Schumacher, 44, was placed into a medically-induced coma Monday after he fell and hit the right side of his head on a rock while skiing with his son Mick, 14. The injury occurred on Sunday morning at Meribel Resort in the French Alps.
Schumacher’s helmet helped him from being immediately killed. “His helmet did of course protect him at least partly,” said Jean-Francois Payen, the head anesthetician at Chu hospital. “Someone who had suffered a similar accident without a helmet would not have made it [to the hospital].”
Schumacher was conscious while en route to the hospital, but his condition worsened quickly and he was taken in for brain surgery when scans revealed internal bleeding and contusions. “We cannot predict the future for Michael Schumacher,” said Payen. “He is in a critical...

Recent reports from both the BBC and Sky Sports F1, suggest McLaren are considering replacing Sergio Perez with Kevin Magnussen for next season. As we discussed in an earlier article the driver market is still in relative flux and neither Jenson Button or Perez have been confirmed for the 2014 season. Despite official confirmation, however it is widely believed that Button has signed a contract for the coming season and will remain in place.
McLaren struggled throughout 2013 with a car that is battling in midfield but management at the team believe that Perez’s performance has been largely disappointing. This has led to speculation that he could be replaced.
It wouldn’t be the first time that McLaren have promoted a rookie to their full Formula 1 team. Lewis Hamilton came straight into the team without any prior F1 experience and was an immediate success.

Greater Noida, Oct 27: If anyone has grabbed eyeballs during the 2013 Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix, it is Jessica Michibata, a fashion model and girlfriend of McLaren driver Jenson Button.
Michibata, born to an Argentine father and Japanese mother, was very much the centre of attraction in the paddock at the Buddh Interntational Circuit (Bic).
Her connect with the Indian media and fans was instant as she chose to wear a traditional pink saree for the race Sunday.
"I wanted to wear something Indian. I have always loved the use of colours here. I am glad I got time to do some shopping," the brown-eyed.

Sebastian Vettel has had an astonishing career so far. At just 26, he already has 34 race wins, 57 podiums and 42 pole positions. This weekend at Japan he could also win his fourth consecutive World Drivers’ Championship with a number of races still to go. Yet despite these impressive records there still exists a large portion of fans who believe that Vettel isn’t a great driver but rather has been gifted his championships through finding himself driving the dominant car. Additionally Vettel has also become increasingly unpopular this season thanks to a combination of his numerous wins and an incident at the Malaysian Grand Prix where he ignored team orders to overtake his teammate Mark Webber. Regardless of these issues it is surely time to accept Sebastian Vettel as a truly talented and outstanding Formula 1 driver.

Last night, London’s Leicester Square was filled to the brim with Hollywood’s finest alongside dozens of former and current Formula One legends. Former F1 drivers Niki Lauda, Jackie Stewart and David Coulthard were joined by McLaren drivers Jenson Button and Sergio Perez who were at the event to watch a movie that we here at HeyUGuys have been looking forward to for a long long time.

Chris Hemsworth who has become more associated in his role as Thor takes on the role of Hunt while German actor Daniel Brühl plays Lauda in a role where he transforms himself and we talk...

If you happened to be anywhere near Leicester Square last night, you may have heard quite a lot of noise coming from London's premier premiere location. Some was from the fans, there to see Rush director Ron Howard and stars Daniel Bruhl (who plays Niki Lauda in the film) and Chris Hemsworth (James Hunt), but a lot of it was from the Formula 1 cars tearing round the block.Current F1 drivers Sergio Perez and Jenson Button were the men in the not-so-London-friendly vehicles, wearing regular smart suits as well as their helmets. Joining them from the world of racing were Bernie Ecclestone, Jackie Stewart, David Coulthard, Niki Lauda himself and, um, David Hasselhoff. Then there was the lovely Olivia Wilde, who also stars in the film, as well as Liam Hemsworth, Chris's little brother, and Elsa Pataky, Fast & Furious actress and Hemsworth The Older's other half. You can see them...

The Spa Grand Prix is the longest track in the F1 calendar with a total length of 7km per lap. Spa is famous for it’s multiple overtaking spots and famous corners such as Eau Rouge and Blanchimot. I personally love the Spa circuit as it always provides an exciting race.
Qualifying
The qualifying this year was a wet affair with some discrepancies in the usual starting order. Both Marussias and Giedo van der Garde managed to get into Q2 because of excellent tyre choices in the wet weather. This meant that both Williams and Toro Roso drivers were out along with Caterham’s Charles Pic and Sauber’s Esteban Gutierrez.
Q2 saw the exclusion of the other Caterham driver Giedo van der Garde in 14th, a career best for him, along with the two Marussias of Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton in 15th and 16th place respectively. Sergio Perez...

Lewis Hamilton. A man who many love and few hate.
For me personally, I think he is a disgrace of a human being. His attitude off the track says to me that this man is arrogant, obnoxious and above all, thinks he is above the rest. His impressive results at McLaren were ruined by his rebellious actions which resulted in some vital team data being leaked to the public. This says to me that Hamilton is not a team player; far from it in fact. He is someone who only has 3 important things in his life; Nicole, Roscoe (A dog, I hasten to add) and Himself. Hamilton’s lack of awareness when mentioning a racial comment at the Monnoco Grand Prix in 2011 caused outrage and controversy, sparking thousands of complaints to the BBC.
That’s not to say I am a big admirer of his talent.

2009 seems like a distant memory for Jenson Button.
His days of winning 6 out of 7 races have long gone and with the current state of his McLaren, a Formula One fan has to wonder whether or not the Brit will ever see the top place of the standings again. Unlike Hamilton, Button is a nice guy. He is a friendly, focused driver who strives to be a good team player and never seems to get into controversy both on and off the track. This season was meant to be his best chance of adding to that World Championship tally, having a much younger and inexperienced driver in Sergio Perez under his wing and leading the McLaren team to multiple grand prix victories.
This wasn’t to be.

As Formula One heads into the traditional summer break, the current World Championship Leader, Sebastian Vettel must be pondering on whether he can add another Championship to his ever growing tally.
With Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes winning the latest race in Hungary in a fairly convincing style, Vettel will be concerned about whether or not his car as the pace to match Hamilton going into the second part of the season. In the past, we have seen ‘Dominant Vettel’, leaving the other cars to fight among themselves after Turn One, when he flies off into the distance.
But this season it’s all changed.
Apart from a spectacular performance in Canada, Vettel has not dominated as much as he would’ve liked, nor is he that far ahead in the Championship. Sky Sports F1 and the BBC often comment on how Vettel is doing well and that no one can get anywhere near him,...

Red Bull secure first win across the Pond
Sebastian Vettel put Red Bull back on top in Canada as he drove to a dominant victory from the front row of the grid, leading every lap to the flag and taking a stronger hold on the championship as the sun shined on Montreal. In a fairly quiet Canadian Grand Prix compared to what we would expect, Vettel made a fast start and scampered away before the Drs was activated, stretching his lead over Hamilton and the chasing pack and never falling back into their clutches. Webber battled into fourth to secure a total of 37 points for the team, keeping them comfortably in charge of the constructor’s championship.

The classic street circuit played host to the sixth round of the championship and always provides an incident or two. Here is the roundup of what happened at the weekend.
Qualifying
Q1 saw Massa fail to set a lap after smashing into the barriers at the first corner. Ferrari tried their best to fix the car in time for qualifying, but the damage was too great. Jules Bianchi suffered car issues and would start in 21st with Massa in 22nd. Max Chilton secured 20th, with Gutierrez 19th, Charles Pic 18th and Paul Di Resta an unexpected 17th. He was unable to pit for a fresh set of intermediate tyres and subsequently lost out on Q2. Q2 saw Maldonado who had been fastest in Q1 only manage16th in his Williams with the Caterham of van der Garde gaining 15th, Caterham’s best qualifying result and he is now starting to show great promise.

The Circuit de Catalunya begins the start of the European F1 tour, with a small detour to Canada, and saw host to the 5th round of the championship. Spain is the home to a certain Fernando Alonso and the crowd were certainly out in force to cheer on their driver.

Qualifying saw the usual four cars drop out at the first stage. Giedo van der Garde out-qualified both his teammate and both Marussias to claim 19th ahead of Bianchi, Chilton and teammate Pic in 22nd. Giedo van der Garde out-qualified both his teammate and both Marussias to claim 19th ahead of Bianchi, Chilton and teammate Pic in 22nd. Surprisingly both Williams’ were knocked out in Q1 as last year’s winner Pastor Maldonado could only manage 18th behind his rookie teammate Bottas in 17th. Q2 saw both Saubers pick up 15th and 16th with Hulkenberg in front of newcomer Gutierrez. Jenson Button had a terrible qualifying session only managing 14th in the McLaren, not a place he wanted to be in. The...

Bahrain is currently in amidst with protests and civil unrest, yet as with last year the Grand Prix went ahead as planned. Security was increased dramatically around the circuit and it proved effective as no indecencies were reported. The circuit is again a high wear track much like China last week, so there was plenty of pit lane action. Two Drs zones and a multitude of overtaking spots made this race an excellent one to watch.
Qualifying
Q1 saw the battle at the back continue with Caterham finally managing to out-qualify the Marussia of Jules Bianchi. Charles Pic with some new upgrades was able to go nearly a second faster to secure 19th. However he was still half a second off the pace of Gutierrez in 18th and Maldonado, who was surprisingly evicted to 17th by Jean-Eric Vergne. Vergne narrowly avoided the first drop with his 16th place, behind the second Williams of Bottas.

The Chinese Gp has been on the F1 calendar for nine years and features a bit of everything. From some of the most technical corners to one of the longest straights, China has it all. The circuit features two Drs zones which should encourage a lot of overtaking throughout the race. Tyres are a big thing here as the circuit wears more on the front than the rear, meaning that teams have to plan their strategies to utilise the tyres as efficiently as possible.
Qualifying
Q1 saw both Caterhams and the Marussias drop out as usual. Jules Bianchi out-shined his teammate Max Chilton again by being almost a second faster. He is most certainly one to watch for the future. He is in the Ferrari program after all. Marussia have done some excellent work to get their car significantly quicker than the Caterhams. The other new boys to F1, Gutierrez...

Infiniti Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has won the second grand prix of the year in Sepang, not too anyone’s surprise, however the talking points were the team orders prevalent in the top four.
First the team orders that were ignored. With Webber leading going into the final quarter of the race the drivers were told to maintain their positions with Vettel in second place, however on lap 46 the German snuck through and everything after that, they say, is history.
The “conflict” started earlier in the race when Vettel radioed the team to allow him to overtake the Australian because he was going “too slow.” The result was Webber pulling more than one second clear and Vettel becoming a deer in the headlights to the approaching Mercedes of both Hamilton and Rosberg.
Speaking about the incident after the race, Red Bull boss Christian Horner believed that last years champion...
