Lives in Nashville, Tennessee. 
A close friend of Michelle Branch, she toured as her back-up singer while working on her solo career. Jessica was ready to sign a deal with Elektra when Michelle suggested they go ahead with their idea of forming a band. The band, "The Wreckers", are signed to Michelle's label Maverick and participated in the early 2005 "One Tree Hill" tour alongside Tyler Hilton, Gavin DeGraw and Bethany Joy Lenz in the run up to the release of their debut album "Stand Still, Look Pretty" (in stores May 23rd, 2006).
She has a dog named Hallie, who is a year and a half old.
Has a younger sister named Annie.
[July 2007] Engaged to The Wreckers' fiddle player Jason Mowery.
After the repeatedly postponed release of her first major solo album "A Woman Needs", in March 2010 she announced her decision to no longer pursue a career as a recording artist in favor of writing full-time. As a parting gift to her fans her record label has agreed to make the album available as a digital download from March 16th 2010.
